Sleep apnea is a serious health issue for a significant parts of our population. Mouth taping is found to be helpful to many people. Definitely not something to laugh at or make fun of. 🧡
I've been having sleep apnea for almost 10 years. Never really understood why I'm always tired and gained lots of weight in like no time. And when I got a CPAP-machine I still didn't get good sleep. Until I tried CPAP with a chin strap and taping my mouth. For me taping the mouth works. 👌😷
Yes! Mouth taping helps many people. The doctor simply knows nothing about it so he dismissed it with some nonsense generalizations. Very disappointed in a doctor who can't simply say, "I don't know about this".
Super interesting video! Seems like waking up at the same time, getting sunlight, and exercising are heavy hitters for sleep. If you could only pick one thing from this video which would you say has the strongest impact on sleep quality?
really valuable stuff right here! Just one question what is waking up "regular". Is it really the exact time everyday or is there a span like 30 minutes or something?
The comments on mouth tapping shows that the doctor does not know what it is and just dismissing it of hand with meaningless generalizations. He would be better saying, "I don't know enough about it" Thank you for this informative video! 👍🧡
I disagree. He said that as a sleeping expert he noticed that most people breathe by their nose even if their mouth is open, and that the mouth being open doesn't influence sleep as much as one might think. It probably might influence jaw shape, but not sleep
@@Kirmo13 so, breathing through the mouth while sleeping can cause heavy snoring and sleep apnea. Keeping the mouth closed is an amazingly simple way to cure that for many people.
Looking at the thumbnail, I thought PILLOWS would be covered. Aren't they overrated cuz I found no conclusive evidence that they are good for health? Indigenous population don't seem to use any in the same way they don't use cushioned shoes people in the "civilized" nations tend to use

Ok but you're clearly not the average sleep person the doctor is talking to here.

I often wonder: why those who advocate for cold air during sleep use the blanket?

Doctors don't like to use those 6 words, if they did then medical error wouldn't be the 3rd leading cause of death.
Quality content as usual
I like your choice of movie.
So melatonin is not ok? I just took 2 pills instead of just one b/c it has no effect on me.
