- Time for the promised health update! In this video we give an update on our cancer journey as we navigate through a difficult time.During our recent trip to Brazil, my husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This unexpected news has turned our lives upside down, but we are determined to face it.
We will also discuss our travel plans for the next few months. Despite the difficulties we face, we firmly believe in the power of positivity and the healing effect of exploring new places.
We hope to inspire and encourage others facing similar challenges by sharing our story. Together we can spread awareness, understanding and hope.

You are SO right about do it when you're young. I lived and worked around the world in the 1970s. All of my friends were getting married and having children. Now, 50 years later, they still haven't been anywhere. I had my only child at age 40, she's grown with children now. I'm still traveling every year and keep adding to the 70 countries I've had the privilege to visit.
I wish Everson a total recovery, so that both of you have a long life together, full of adventures and happiness.

It is truly wonderful that you were able to travel when you were young. But, many young people simply don't have the means to do so. If not for having relatives in other parts of the US and Canada, I still wouldn't have been anywhere.

You are both such an inspiration! Your positive energy and outlook is remarkable given your recent medical crisis. You've truly inspired me to move forward with my travel plans because as you so aptly said, "Don't put it off. Don't wait until tomorrow because you don't know what tomorrow can bring you." And, I'm looking into insurance for an upcoming international trip. Your medical crisis opened my eyes and educated me in an area of ignorance. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all.

Its crazy that you mentioned being an au pair. The whole reason I started watchinf your videos was because your accent reminded me of my dear au pairs' accents. They were from Germany, so its not exactly the same, but it is comforting to me none the less.

So glad to hear you are doing well and are able to travel and enjoy the journey once more. You are so right about life being unpredictable and embracing the concept of getting out there and chasing your dreams because you never know what the future will bring. After several deaths in our family, including my 33 year old son, I realized that time was short and never guaranteed, so we are once again traveling and getting back into life. Enjoy your next trip!

So glad to hear the good news. I personally know it can be stressful and you hope the doctors are making the best decisions. And that your loved one is not suffering through the process. We have been married 20yrs and health issues has tested our strength many times. But, we keep moving forward.

That’s great news guys very happy for you. You will need to check your travel insurance before for your next trip as a friend of mine had a brain tumour and now finds it difficult to get travel insurance but he’s a lot older than your lovely husband 😀. Good luck for your next adventure.
