I want to migrate to this Canon EOS R, and I have lenses for 6D Canon 35 1.4 sigma art and 50mm ... would it be better to sell them and buy native RF lenses or can I use adapter to use with sigma ? which do you prefer?

i just scared with the one SD card slot. i know technology is getting more reliable but just scared when i shoot weddings. i currently have XT2 and XH1 with dual card slot. i'll rent it this week because that 50mm 1.2 looks so GOOD!!!!

Hi Sandross. You can set the camera to wirelessly send the images to your phone, tablet or laptop as a backup while you shoot if you're genuinely worried about backups.

Mark Shirley Cropped sensor doesn’t seem to be an issue for video. Even Sony make true video cameras with cropped cmos sensors. Check out Sony’s $7500 and & 12,5000 dollars video cameras. They also use optical stabilization, no ibis. Professionals in the movie industry say ibis is unpredictable ten percent of the time. Haven’t found a true professional video camera using it ibis.

Hi! Thanks for your comment! For this shoot, Sanjay used a couple of our L-Series lenses on the EOS R, for instance the RF 50mm f/1.2L USM and the RF 28-70mm f/2L USM. I am so so sorry for this stupid question, but can someone explain why is it important to have 2 card slots?? Is it in case one memory card fails??

That's the general practice for professional bodies but in the case of the original EOS R (which is officially not a pro body) it has a single card slot. It's newer siblings have developed from the bases that the R has established.
