I would like to eventually make earrings for sale and I was wondering which type of earring hooks to use that works better for most people (i.e. nickel, surgical, sterling silver, etc.).

I've watched this many times and am struggling to get the metal to bend. The video is clear, easy to understand, and the camera is on yo ur hands at all times which is hugely helpful. I am new to jewelry making and the head pins came from one of the big box stores. Are they too cheap and is that why I am having trouble? I am also left handed and have reversed the instructions so I don't think that is the problem. Thank you!
I just discovered this channel and it looks great! I would like to make my own earrings, but so far I have only been able to handle titanium or surgical steel in my ears. I would love more content geared towards allergy issues.

Just found this, enjoyed seeing the projects. I think that you can use the front notch of a pair of crimp pliers to tuck in the wraps on the loop.
