I was thinking too when i was playing against a Deejay player today, during 24 matches that i lost i was wondering if was me or just the player that are too strong but clearly the long and long combos was not like other characters lol
@@skyuru Dj has both Juggle and loop options and has one of the best varieties of attack in the game. If someone uses him effectively he can adapt and change his style. That's what makes him powerful
@@thesnowthief2734 i started to figure out how to defend but i wonder if there are ome variated way to escape from his non stop attacks and combos.
Seeing this video looks like that many players have difficulty.
@@skyuru pay attention to the feints and use the DI counter to give yourself space. He's balanced, but use a style that pushes pressure on him so he's forced to change his strategy. His attacks connect easily into other stuff so watch for the overhead. Worst case scenario fight fire with fire and use his attacks against him by swaying forward then back immediately for a punish. Be aware he can do the same

His DR range will probably get nerfed and his damage can be kinda wild at times but I don’t think he’s THAT crazy. You still gotta really make smart use of his feints and sway to be crazy with him and all of them require conditioning cause they can be mashed out of so I’d say you kinda earn what you get with him. That being said as a Dee Jay main #BUFFDEEJAY
Bro the DR is damn well near unreactable, the range isn’t the main problem it’s how fast it is, if anyone had that kind of speed basically on command they would be insane, imagine if Zangief had the DR speed DJ has, keep the same range as Zangief DR, it would still be terrifying. Nerf the speed, maybe if that’s still not enough, nerf the range
All drive rushes go the same range the real issue is speed differences between characters
@@ThomasAtlus you’re incorrect about the distance, all DRs last as long, but go different distances and speeds, there are videos online that prove this
He needs that drive rush honestly....he has no low medium poke and no light special attack combos (being that all his lights are feints) He is not easy to use or win with!
But yea his DR catches almost everyone off guard...But his DI is so slow...I can only use it to counter or DI cancel

In all fairness, I hear Deejay is pretty hard to play. Or at least a character you need to practice a bit with. Also, of people are complaining about Deejay's damage, they haven't seen a combo from Marisa.
Difference being, Maria's damage is the only thing that makes her viable. Turn down Marisa's damage you might as well remove her from the game. Turn down deejay's damage and he's still top tier.
@@bloodfist9613 fair point. But Deejay kinda deserves it though. Mainly because he's been a water-downed guile for all the titles he has appeared in in terms of gameplay. And his lore and design hasn't been the best until now.

@@aviaretubbs2340 I personally find deejay more annoying because with jp it feels like when I do get in I can dominate it's just getting there that's the problem. With deejay I just lose no matter the range. Plus I just think jp looks cooler. Plus jp doesn't have a dp, which are extremely annoying to deal with in my opinion.

I lost 24 matches with my Cammy against a Deejay player, im glad that it was not only my noob experience because the combo and speed of this character (Deejay) i felt that was not normal, its too buffed lol

2:12 if you read this I got a combo that does 5112 damage if you got 3 bars in the corner so you just drive impact do the 2 neutral medium button hits at least that’s how I do it on modern I don’t know how to do it on classic but repeat that 5-6 times and on the last time do the full medium combo and then do the 3 bar super art at 25% does 5112 damage on modern controls and above 25% does 4400 something damage on modern so on classic at 25% you might be able to get 6000 damage so you should try it (yes I know this medium 2 hit tech is probably going to get nerfed but use it while it lasts because it fun and funny to do 50%-60% health using one button and one super art and one drive impact and the drive impact have to be off the wall for it to work)

SF6 is my first fighting game (unless you count For Honor, which you shouldn't) I picked up Deejay as my main because his feints reminded me of For Honor. A few weeks of playing and practicing, I reached Gold 1, which I'm not 100% on how good that is, probably not very good, but also, probably better than someone of my experience is supposed to get.
SF6 ranks are weird but you're getting somewhere, keep it up
As a Jamie player is a nightmare to play against any zoner but for some reason playing against Dee Jay is more hurtful 😂

@@raphaelnavarrette8156 Jamie has some really good stuff that Deejay doesn’t, Deejay’s main weaknesses come from lacking common tools like invul lv1, cancellable low and cancellable pokes, all of which Jamie has. But deejay is so strong in other areas it equals out pretty well
As a Dee Jay main learning Jamie, I see a Dhalsim, Guile, or JP pull up, I just throw the match.

I was once matched against a dj as ken and i literally just walked a singke step forward and they flashed kicked AND IT LANDED. MY CHARACTER DID A LITERAL SINGLE STEP FORWARD THAT DIDNT EVEN TOUCH THE GROUND LIKE WHAT
Luckily I never run into Dj players since everyone is still abusing luke and JP xd

I might be late but I want to mention Dee Jays first appearance in Street Fighter was in 1993. Let me tell you, he was trash. He was basically a Guile with no sauce, you understand how ironic that is? He stayed like that literally to sf4 which was the last time we saw him in a mainline game. Then he finally makes a return in sf6 in 2023 having something unique and good. In short, Dee Jay had been dog water for 30 YEARS! I DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY! HE 100 PERCENT DESERVES THIS BUFF AS WELL AS DEEJAY MAINS WHO STAYED WITH HIM FOR SO LONG LIKE MYSELF!

Not sure why they removed Dee jay's double medium punch cancel when I've seen loads of other characters have similar if not stronger cancels they can constantly do.
Personally I always avoid getting Street Fighter games immediately on launch because of stuff like this, so many busted ass characters. Oh and no Dudley. If there's no Dudley I do not care and will just crawl back under my street fighter 4 rock.
