The best aspect of this video is the fact that you can legitimately see him playing better as the tournament went on. Better routes, better choices being made in specific situations and the corner pressure got better.

@@gameclips5734not really warming up normally just means you start playing more consistently but here it’s different. he’s actively like learning the character sort of
@@gameclips5734 Warming up is when you already know the character. Punk didn't know Deejay at all since it was his second day on the character. He got him to Masters day 1 then just played him in tournament day 2 basically like this so he was still learning as the tournament went on. He even explains this in video if you weren't aware.
Punk’s ability to play characters at such a high level right after picking them up needs to be studied

@@gameclips5734 yes, watch the video or his streams. Most of these runs are after he picks up a character for a day. Only character he actually had some time on prior was Cammy and Honda, everyone else he hasn't played much or at all.

Punk has a style that is good with any character. His reactions and combo reads make him elite.

@@marshall6113That happens a lot when playing against stronger players, Their doing things at a pace that's very hard to process. But the same applies when you face less experienced players, They aren't presenting as many options so the game feels easier.
when you have the best neutral in the game, you can just play any character without knowing too much about combos etc… that’s why he excels so much.

You barely need charge. 2FP hit stun lasts so long you only need to be holding down slightly before 2FP connects to get enough charge to combo.
