Great video Colin, thanks. MX is great indeed. That ease of use with Flatpaks I experienced last week also with LMDE. Just click and Ungoogled Chromium was installed. But MX has much more software available, it is great. You can have a very stable Debian, with a special kernel if you like and add the latest version of some software. SparkyLinux offers something similar btw, with their APT center. Interesting times!
Thanks peppe! same flatpak experience with LMDE that's interesting, I could never get into Sparky Linux, there's nothing wrong with the project just one of those distros that just doesn't peak my interest for some reason. The unexplained Lol
@@pctlc no worries mate, I used to have that with MX before. Last time I found it a great, well constructed toolbox ;-)
I think MX is such a great piece of software. I have been using it for 4 years, I believe I started with 16 on my Tv computer. I have not had any issues but one years ago and it was a kernel thing. Back in the day they offered a Cinnamon Desktop and that is what I installed but it is Xfce underneath. There tools are awesome and the MX USB makes a fantastic repair tool.

Nice one as usual. Older Plasma on MX. Looks nice though.
off topic: Again yesterday a vertical line when I adjust the sound level that moves with the slider on RUclips and a blinking vertical line on the bottom left corner when maximized. Same on Netflix. Did a refresh of Firefox and it's okay now, but what causes it, I still don't know!? Installed Chrome which doesn't have it, but it borked Peppermint with a Dbus error or something. So purged it. Chrome sucks anyway. User friendliness really sucks compared to Firefox.
That's weird, I'm using Firefox myself haven't come across that issue yet Lol, maybe a hardware problem or a Firefox setting? Chrome sucks Hahahahaha!
@@pctlc Maybe, but what settings? I enabled compact mode, layers.force. acceleration, webrender, vaapi, double click to close tab and open bbokmarks in new tab. I did troubleshoot mode, made no difference. It must be a Firefox thing.
