Most of the reactors I watch start with BTS and kind of end up moving into kpop. As someone who really only stans BTS but has passing interest in a few other groups, I don't watch many reactors who don't react to BTS. But Mamamoo is one of those few other groups so I followed you for those reactions. Seeing you pick up BTS, I was worried bc I feel like kpoppies like certain things about kpop--the pageantry, the flash, if they like boy groups, the EDM drops and shirtlessness--and BTS really is about the music and their sincerity. I see kpoppies side-eye them sometimes bc they're looking for the kpop stuff and it's not there. They're not looking for vulnerability and relatability and substance so they just don't get what BTS is about. But you really fell for them and fell hard. Like just really deep really fast. It was nice to see. They are something special.

It describes Magic Shop as a place of refuge for the heartbroken, a place of healing for the disturbed, and a place of love for those who are lonely. In this case it’s a song gifted to ARMY, telling us that they can be our safe place from the pain and that we are the same for them 💜💜💜💜 ---------- Go Go is, like you said, actually a really deep and kind of sad song about the hopeless financial situation the younger generation are in to the extent that they've essentially given up trying to invest in their own futures. Shen they had the press conference for this album, they shared the true meaning behind this song which IS very BTS. Most albums they have what they call a "socially conscious" song where they give commentary on something they have observed or felt strongly about. First of all...Go go...you need to see Halloween dance practice for this... FUN! Magic shop is based on a book that talks about a therapeutic technique of creating a special space in your mind where you can go to and exchange anxiety for rewards... so this song is for the fans to have this space in their hearts where we can find BTS there to help in our healing. But the point of this technique is to eventually realize that the solution to your problems or healing can be found within ourselves. That’s why my most favorite part of this song is “you gave me the best of me so you give you the best of you!” This song always manages to make me cry cos it’s been very helpful for me during my most troubled times...I can’t wat to see you react to whole albums! Their b side songs are just amazing...I absolutely have no songs I skip! And I never get bored because their styles always change!

Magic Shop is a perfect "safe space" sort of song. The song itself is sweet and emotional but it makes me smile and feel happy watching them perform live. It's like they made an extra effort to make their performance about offering comfort, joy and a feeling of mutual love with ARMY. All of their finger hearts, kisses, smiles and playfulness really added levity to the song. I thought seeing a live would make me emotional too but I just felt that safe and content vibe they promised would be in the Magic Shop.
It's hard to pick favorites because all BTS songs are great in their own way. Magic Shop is very special. Whenever I hear it I feel like I am getting a big hug from BTS. Btw love your Super Tuna outfit!
Sorry for two comments. One thing I really appreciate about BTS is that they are always striving to approve. The members that had to learn from the beginning for things such as Jin with dancing and singing, Jimin with singing, RM with dancing, etc…BTS are always striving to better themselves and grow. You definitely see their growth from debut to now. You cannot help but appreciate their growth… About In The Soop I grew to live Hobi and Yoongi even more…. P.S. many people don’t notice but Yoongi makes some amazing facial expressions. He also is cute when he really gets into the dance. As a dancer he is underrated because he usually doesn’t put his full effort unless he is really into it (plus he doesn’t absolutely love being in the center of attention) and he also had shoulder injury around pre-debut time period that affected his dancing for years. He finally got surgery in 2020 so you will also see Yoongi happier now and not in as much pain when dancing now. 💜💜😉 (I do understand that their are 7 so it can be hard) Edit: JK said it was for ARMY I believe (Magic Shop)
If you are not ARMY, then I don't think you understand the feeling of knowing that BTS genuinely loves ARMY. Like Jungkook wrote and produced a full song to comfort ARMYs in bad days. How precious that is.
this is so random but I love how you just embrace and love every member very rawly and honestly. I think it’s natural for some reactors to be really biased towards some members and lean towards them as they slowly become familiar one by one (which I appreciate their honesty with their journey and totally appreciate and can relate to my old baby army self). But as an army who has been with bts for quite a while and loves all of them a lot it is really nice to see you be able to embrace them all at once and not be overwhelmed. Idk if this makes any sense djdjfjd, but although you also have you have your bias moments (like most of us), it is really comforting and relaxing to know I can come here and just embrace all of them with you. This is def not a diss to other reactors, its just a way for me to describe how at ease your bts videos put me. Just some simple, raw appreciation.

A cute thing! When I traveled to Paris for their concert in 2019, there were ARMY everywhere! Whenever you would walk down a street you could shout “SO SHOW ME!” And somewhere a block or two away you would get a “I’LL SHOW YOU” back! It’s definitely a song dear to my heart because of the lyrics but also because of that experience in Paris!

Suga has always been incredibly open and honest in his lyrics, even in the face of intense societal stigma around mental health in S. Korea. Watch Agust D's "The Last", where he opens up about his turbulent past, and "First Love", his solo from the Wings album. They are gorgeous and gut wrenching and make me cry every g.d. time. Finally! TMI: Magic Shop is my top 1 BTS song of all time. It really helped me a lot to move forward in life. Just RM's last lyrics on the first verse "Live", makes me cry every time I listen to this song.
I cried the first time I heard(and read) the lyrics to Magic Shop. The only worst one for me emotionally is First Love which is a Suga Solo from Wings, I ugly cried the first time I listened to it, did not even know the lyrics yet but the sheer emotion in the song is conveyed across language barriers.
You can see one of their Live PTD (Permission to Dance) concerts from last year on Disney + for a trial one month price of $1.99- I am not in any way affiliated. It was worth it just for the Blue and Grey/Black Swan numbers. The deal is until 9/19/22. (I have on my calendar when my month is up.) So many of their songs touch on things that make them very genuine and relatable. From Butterfly, Louder than Bombs, Whalien, and Blue and Grey they show us that they want people to know that they care about your loneliness, anxiety,depression and some of them have also dealt with these mental health issues. (RM and Youha have an incredibly beautiful song called “Winter Flower” that also touches on these.)

As some ARMYs may know, the song “Magic Shop” was originally based on a book called Into the Magic Shop by American neurosurgeon James Doty, the Magic Shop is also part of a commonly used psychotherapeutic technique called psychodrama. Psychodrama involves role playing to help patients overcome their trauma.This track was co-written and co-composed by Jung Kook. It describes Magic Shop as a place of refuge for the heartbroken, a place of healing for the disturbed, and a place of love for those who are lonely. In this case it’s a song gifted to ARMY, telling us that they can be our safe place from the pain and that we are the same for them 💜💜💜💜

Go Go is, like you said, actually a really deep and kind of sad song about the hopeless financial situation the younger generation are in to the extent that they've essentially given up trying to invest in their own futures. Shen they had the press conference for this album, they shared the true meaning behind this song which IS very BTS. Most albums they have what they call a "socially conscious" song where they give commentary on something they have observed or felt strongly about. They explained that GoGo was that for Love Yourself: Her; it’s a very sarcastic take on the mindset youth have on the value of money. All we want to do is squander our money when we have it and enjoy ourselves, all while excusing our behaviour by saying that we only live once.
Yoongi said "The current generation uses phrases like YOLO and having fun squandering money, but I don’t think people think about why they use such terms so much even while using the terms. We tried to interpret [this phenomenon] through BTS’s unique perspective."
Namjoon also said, "The song revealed just how tough it was to be young in this day and age. It’s about how our young generation are living their lives with low expectations and standards so people are upset with reality; they have little hope and there’s so much economic hardship. We wanted to say something about it and emphasise to the world that it’s not their choice, but brutal reality that forces people to live and spend as if there’s no future."
On its surface, “Go Go” sounds like a blissed-out trip-hop ditty that prays at the church of YOLO partying. But in fact, the lyrics contain sharp criticisms of materialism and the emptiness that comes with constantly searching for the next high.

I love how BTS took all the amazing love they saw ARMYs give them, that "fanatic" love, and really made us promise to show ourselves that same kind of love. "You gave me the best of me so you give you the best of you" "so show me!" and really made us chant the promise "I'll show you" When things get tough I really do hang on to that promise. Or even now when things are going better for me, but I get scared to chase what I want for fear of losing what happiness I found I think how BTS wouldn't want me to let fear stop me and I promised them to do my best for myself

First of all...Go go...you need to see Halloween dance practice for this... FUN! Magic shop is based on a book that talks about a therapeutic technique of creating a special space in your mind where you can go to and exchange anxiety for rewards... so this song is for the fans to have this space in their hearts where we can find BTS there to help in our healing. But the point of this technique is to eventually realize that the solution to your problems or healing can be found within ourselves. That’s why my most favorite part of this song is “you gave me the best of me so you give you the best of you!” This song always manages to make me cry cos it’s been very helpful for me during my most troubled times...I can’t wat to see you react to whole albums! Their b side songs are just amazing...I absolutely have no songs I skip! And I never get bored because their styles always change!

Magic Shop is one of my favorites. It makes me feel less alone when I am having a hard time. I have been known to play it loudly and sing along when I am having a depressive episode and somehow it helps.
Jungkooks main vision for magic shop came from his love for army and also rms quote from a concert… absolutely makes sense and even though jk was main writer and the rapline had contributions to the song as well! Jungkook is my ult so I’m not discrediting him at all bc he is the main … but credit where credit is due… we all know the rapline are the most credited lyricists and producers in BTS and inspire the others to want to create as well… this song is a labor of love no matter what way you look at it… I love them! 7 absolutely stage icons but the most incredible hearts and bonds in this group… they’re so special!!! Magic Shop is a perfect "safe space" sort of song. The song itself is sweet and emotional but it makes me smile and feel happy watching them perform live. It's like they made an extra effort to make their performance about offering comfort, joy and a feeling of mutual love with ARMY. All of their finger hearts, kisses, smiles and playfulness really added levity to the song. I thought seeing a live would make me emotional too but I just felt that safe and content vibe they promised would be in the Magic Shop.
It's hard to pick favorites because all BTS songs are great in their own way. Magic Shop is very special. Whenever I hear it I feel like I am getting a big hug from BTS. Btw love your Super Tuna outfit!

One thing I really appreciate about BTS is that they are always striving to approve. The members that had to learn from the beginning for things such as Jin with dancing and singing, Jimin with singing, RM with dancing, etc…BTS are always striving to better themselves and grow. You definitely see their growth from debut to now. You cannot help but appreciate their growth…
About In The Soop I grew to live Hobi and Yoongi even more….
P.S. many people don’t notice but Yoongi makes some amazing facial expressions. He also is cute when he really gets into the dance. As a dancer he is underrated because he usually doesn’t put his full effort unless he is really into it (plus he doesn’t absolutely love being in the center of attention) and he also had shoulder injury around pre-debut time period that affected his dancing for years. He finally got surgery in 2020 so you will also see Yoongi happier now and not in as much pain when dancing now. 💜💜😉 (I do understand that their are 7 so it can be hard)

If you are not ARMY, then I don't think you understand the feeling of knowing that BTS genuinely loves ARMY. Like Jungkook wrote and produced a full song to comfort ARMYs in bad days. How precious that is.
this is so random but I love how you just embrace and love every member very rawly and honestly. I think it’s natural for some reactors to be really biased towards some members and lean towards them as they slowly become familiar one by one (which I appreciate their honesty with their journey and totally appreciate and can relate to my old baby army self). But as an army who has been with bts for quite a while and loves all of them a lot it is really nice to see you be able to embrace them all at once and not be overwhelmed. Idk if this makes any sense djdjfjd, but although you also have you have your bias moments (like most of us), it is really comforting and relaxing to know I can come here and just embrace all of them with you. This is def not a diss to other reactors, its just a way for me to describe how at ease your bts videos put me. Just some simple, raw appreciation.

Watch Agust D's "The Last", where he opens up about his turbulent past, and "First Love", his solo from the Wings album. They are gorgeous and gut wrenching and make me cry every g.d. time. I cried the first time I heard(and read) the lyrics to Magic Shop.
The only worst one for me emotionally is First Love which is a Suga Solo from Wings, I ugly cried the first time I listened to it, did not even know the lyrics yet but the sheer emotion in the song is conveyed across language barriers.
You can see one of their Live PTD (Permission to Dance) concerts from last year on Disney + for a trial one month price of $1.99- I am not in any way affiliated. It was worth it just for the Blue and Grey/Black Swan numbers.
The deal is until 9/19/22. (I have on my calendar when my month is up.) So many of their songs touch on things that make them very genuine and relatable. fyi the newer performance of gogo is zoomed in i guess for copyright reasons so you should 100% check out the original i do think its from one of the online concerts i dont remember which but yeah youd see A LOT more waist and legs in the original. its very zoomed in on the members who are singing like jimin for example. his body roll adds so much to that performance visually LMAO.
