  • Eric at Custom Installations and Performance in Greenwich, CT really went above and beyond installing the K40 RL360i system in my car. The quality of his work is perfect and everyone I show the system to can't believe it wasn't done at the Subaru factory, it looks that good!! Without a doubt I would recommend him to anyone considering having anything done to your car because he will do it right and do it the best.
    If you are located anywhere in the northeast contact him for your car needs - Eric@carinstallations.com / www.carinstallations.com
    I put over 5,000 miles on my car in the past month alone and have enjoyed every mile. My Valentine 1 used to constantly go off for everything from other cars using active cruise control, store front doors, road signs, and of course police. Now with the K40 I can enjoy a quiet drive and when the system goes off I know to take action because I'm being hit by radar or laser from a police officer. I'm going to do a follow up video and review of the product since I've definitely put it to the test and I can't wait to shoot that video soon :)
    K40, thank you for making an incredible system and standing behind your product with a ticket free guarantee. I have so much respect for your company and products now that I've had the opportunity to use them first hand.

    Definitely a nice install. For the next step, you'll probably want relay switches to kill your rear lights. Often times with speed enforcement, a visual confirmation is required, and brake lights usually suffice as such.

    • @Speedracer38
      @Speedracer38  8 лет назад +4

      I always thought that would be nice but I don't want to splice into any of the factory wiring. I would love to go with the Cosworth stage 2 upgrades, brake upgrades, suspension upgrades, etc and drop a gear and disappear ;)

      @K40Electronics 8 лет назад +2

      Thanks for the compliment! That brake light kill idea is pretty slick and James Bond-ish for sure. Thinking that maybe check the rear view mirror before deploying just to make sure no one there or you've definitely given the officer a reason to interact with you. ;-) Although the person that rear ends you would likely be the one to get the ticket.
      We're curious about the brake light for visual confirmation idea...have you experienced such?

    • @EA40
      @EA40 8 лет назад +2

      Hey there K40 magicians! I haven't experienced it personally, but I''ve talked to guy who have done Bullrun Rallies/high speed driving like Ed Bolian (I uploaded a video with him even) and that's what they recommend. Although yes, you definitely don't want anyone right behind you when killing the brake lights! Audi drivers beware :P

    • @SuperBlindturtle

      The detectors are legal in most states while laser jammers are illegal in some states...

    • @SuperBlindturtle
      @SuperBlindturtle 8 лет назад

      And the laser jammers basically "jams" a cops radar detector trying to detect his speed. It'd be useful when the detector tells you there's a cop hitting you and if you're speeding, you slow down while jamming the cops radar and in theory you're back to speed limit while passing the cop...

    • @AndrizzleCheck
      @AndrizzleCheck 8 лет назад +1

      It is legal in almost every US state. It is to prevent your car's speed being read by a laser speed detector. Once it alerts that it is being hit by a laser, you are to slow down to the correct speed and then disengage the jammer to allow for proper speed reading.
      The officer will assume the gun is malfunctioning or they are using it incorrectly - but in actuality the jammers are causing the lack of speed reading.

      Some portable (window mount) units detector both radar and laser. For this installed system, there are two separate front and rear radar receivers and two Laser Defuser laser jammers on the front end. The Defusers detect and jam police laser.

      Well K40 stands behind their product and offers a ticket free guarantee. So if you get pulled over and get a ticket using their product they will pay the ticket for you! That's seriously standing behind your product. I got hit by a police officer shooting laser last night and had no worries because I knew he wouldn't be able to get a reading on my speed when the alert went off.

    • @HockeyLAKings119
      @HockeyLAKings119 8 лет назад +1

      +Speedracer38 but won't jammers make the officer suspicious since there was no reading for your vehicle, and pull you over anyways?

    • @Xiluxary
      @Xiluxary 8 лет назад +1

      Lol i wonder you you would implement a radar jammer in a tesla.

    • @K40Electronics
      @K40Electronics 8 лет назад +3

      Unless they have probably cause, no, they cannot pull you over. A laser jammer like the Defuser g5 is designed to create an error code on the gun, which is a common occurrence for LIDAR guns. By that time, a K40 protected driver has reduced their speed and even if the officer is able to get a reading, the driver has hopefully slowed down to a legal speed.

    • @K40Electronics
      @K40Electronics 7 лет назад

      VASCAR use is not as commonly used as LIDAR. And unfortunately, there is no defense offered by anyone for VASCAR. Hmm...maybe some sort of SAM? ;-)

      Radar Jammers are illegal everywhere, Radar detectors are illegal in a few states.

    • @K40Electronics
      @K40Electronics 8 лет назад +1

      Hi Javier!
      Radar transmitting and receiving devices fall under the jurisdiction of the FCC. As such, the use of installed radar detectors is not permitted in Virginia, Washington D.C., and on all military installations. Additionally, any commercial vehicle over 10,000 lbs. cannot be equipped with a radar detector. Canada is stricter on the use of radar detectors and the only providences where the use is legal are British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.
      Laser jammer/defuser use is restricted by some states, but very rarely enforced. Error codes on police laser guns are a common occurrence and because most police officers approach speed enforcement as a “waiting numbers game”, they don’t chase down vehicles to inspect them to determine if they are equipped with a jammer that caused the error code.
      The following states impose certain restrictions on the use of laser jammers:
      California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington D.C.

    • @TheLgm00
      @TheLgm00 7 лет назад

      Source: FCC Public Notice DA 96-2040
      Radar Jammers are transmitters tuned to interfere with ("jam") a radar signal. The intentional use of jammers is considered "malicious interference" and is strictly prohibited by the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, as well as by FCC Rules. Anyone using a jammer risks such penalties as losing an FCC license, paying a fine, or criminal prosecution.
      They are Illegal under federal law for every state.
      lmao yes they are.

    • @TheLgm00
      @TheLgm00 7 лет назад

      He just aked if jammers are illegal, I made sure to specify that I was talking about "RADAR" jammers and not laser jammers. Then you replied that "RADAR" jammers were legal. Learn to read, Dumb fuck.

      Laser Jammers are illegal in a majority of the states. You just have to know how to use them if you don't slow down and turn them off so the cop can get a reading they will know and probably find out and you will be fucked.

    • @haydenlindwall
      @haydenlindwall 8 лет назад +1

      Wrong. Laser jammers are only illegal in 10 states (and DC).
      Even if you managed to get caught with them in a state where they're illegal, the result is still much better than a speeding ticket in the large majority of cases.

    • @EA40
      @EA40 8 лет назад +1

      It isn't explicitly legal in many states, there just isn't a law against it. Some states have laws making the use of these illegal. Unlike radar, this is not regulated by the FCC. However, a cop who notices it could possibly try and get you for obstruction of justice.
