To anyone upset by the title on this video I would say 5 things: 1. I’m sorry the title upset you it was not my intention and I was not aware of the political significance associated with this term 2. Try to relax, it’s just a video and you should watch it instead of just reacting to a title (particularly my conversation with the old man at the end) 3. I would also call Kashmir governed by Pakistan a disputed territory as it is stated on wikipedia for each part of Kashmir. They are / were disputed whether each side like it or not (including China part) - one party cannot unilaterally decide that a dispute does not exist, it is possible to assert both that Kashmir is an integral part of India and also accept that there is a dispute with other parties, these are not mutually exclusive statements 4. I’m not taking sides in any of this, the word disputed is very different from the word occupied which I did not use purposefully 5. no, I won’t be changing the title✌🏻I won’t be bullied or cowed by threats, hopefully that is a characteristic most will admire despite our disagreement on the use of this term PS - I’ve added a question mark ? so it’s an open question rather than a statement of fact

Realised you had not planned in advance and just blindly trusted some agency, you mentioned a few times in your vlog. Unfortunate they don’t themselves (most often) know for real and just guide you based on heard stories. I hope you are having a great time in Kashmir….. most parts of the info you got in the cab from airport isn’t right or partially right. Unverified information unfortunately misleads others too who follow your vlog. Just a few thing 1) in the airport cab the lady tried to tell you about best food (waazwan). Please remember waazwan isnt a dish but a whole feast …. 7-25+ dishes 2) I am sure you may have realised, the tuk tuk guy mentioned the best dish Shalimar, but poor guy didn’t understand your English…. Shalimar is a Mughal era garden just off the banks of Dal Lake where you stayed. 3) Best thing pick one local as your guide for advise. I think Adil the houseboat owners son was guiding you well. I usually suggest a single taxi driver the whole time. Kashmiri’s feel proud of culture and heritage so tour guide is free 😊 4) The Kashmiri tea you had isn’t the real Kashmiri tea. Adil said the right thing that @kehwa is Kashmiri herbal tea. The real Kashmiri tea come with milk and salt, no sugar and is pink in colour. I like to travel too, but don’t vlog. I have been to Scotland a few years ago. I had it planned so well in advance…. Pal, I saw your pinned comment and I do understand that not many are aware of this issue, even here in Aus. Here's the info I got from my research by looking into declassified files of British MI, CIA, London Lib archives etc: • Historically, the name Kashmir itself comes from the Hindu sage Rishi Kashyap as it's been a part of India for thousands of years. • Be it under Hindu rulers or Muslim rulers, Jammu & Kashmir was always a part of India before Britishers came to India and colonized it. There was no Pakistan to begin with back then. • Jammu & Kashmir was also officially registered and addressed by the Queen and her Viceroys as an Indian princely state under the British rule. • India got freedom in 1947 and Pakistan was created in 1947 by the British after partitioning India. • Every Princely state in India had to sign to join either India or Pakistan but the Hindu King of Jammu-Kashmir desired to remain neutral and thus requested for extra time. • It's to be noted that British created this formal agreement due to Pakistan as everything including Pakistan was a part of India before 1947 for thousands of years. • The majority population of Jammu & Kashmir was of Hindus as Ladakh too was a part of Jammu & Kashmir and hence the King was Hindu (Hari Singh). Kashmir's majority population was of Muslims but it's to be noted that Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh were all a single state at the time of Independence hence the Hindu majority. • But Pakistan could no longer wait and sent their own Military and Mujahideens to conquer Jammu & Kashmir illegally and create a deliberate uprising against the Hindu King of Kashmir. The Pakistani General who planned it has also mentioned it his book "Raiders in Kashmir" and Pakistan has also accepted this in the UN. • The Hindu King of J&K then signed Instrument of Accession and merged J&K with India legally and officially. It was also officially signed besides the Britishers who overlooked it. Britian thus accepted this agreement of J&K being a part of India again. • Then the Indian army was dispatched to drive out the Mujahideens and Pakistani army outside of Kashmir. • The Indian PM Nehru went to UN to condemn this aggression of Pakistan but UN under the Influence of British and USA deliberately used it to create a status of disputed territory although its shouldn't have been as British themselves previously agreed upon the Kashmirs accession to India. • The USA and British backstabbed India cuz they needed Pakistan to counter USSR in Afghanistan. • So the area till which Indian army drove out the Pakistani Infiltrators became the Indian Kashmir due to UN ceasefire. Thus, Kashmir got partitioned as some of the areas still remain on the Pakistani side now called as Pakistan occupied kashmir. • India would've taken back the entire Kashmir had UN deliberately not annouced the ceasefire. • It's called a disputed territory because there's an LOC(Line of actual control) and not a border. • UN resolutions said that Pakistan has to vacate the illegally occupied Kashmiri territory and give it back to India for India to hold a plebiscite. • Pakistan hasn't still vacated the territory and then Indian PM Nehru condemned UN for worsening the matter. He said "I had only asked UN to stop Pakistan's aggression but they instead used to call it a disputed territory although it's not. They misrepresented my position." • Lastly, Pakistan initiated 4 wars with India to claim the remaining Kahsmir which isn't theirs. • India was hurt that the west was supporting an Islamic military dictatorship of Pakistan instead of a Democratic India. • Pakistan lost all the wars with India and signed agreements like Lahore and Shimla agreements wherein it accepted India's position. • After 9/11, USA realised that it's support to Taliban and Pakistan had backfired and then they tried to take India's position. • Pakistan realised that it cannot win a conventional war with India so it uses terror outfits to attack Kashmir like Lashkar-e-toiba, Jaish-e-muhammad, Hizbul Mujahideen, Resistance front etc. • Pakistan was successful in Killing and driving out the Hindu and Sikh population from Kashmir via their initial illegal operation in 1947. • This was done so that when plebiscite happens, the remaining muslims will vote for Islamic state of Pakistan. • Pakistan also deliberately gifted the part of J&K called as Aksai Hind (now called as Aksai Chin) to China. • Nonetheless, India had a legal and official document of Jammu and Kashmir being an integral part of India....even historically too. • China used this opportunity to destabilize India via Pakistan. • West used this issue to keep it's stronghold in Afghanistan via Pakistan. • Russia and Israel came to help India realising the issue. • As Afghanistan is no longer important to USA and the west like before, they now prefer India to counter China. The whole of Kashmir belongs to India. When India became independent, Pakistan attacked Kashmir, then the king of Kashmir sought help from the Government of India and merged Kashmir into the Republic of India. After that, the Indian army started driving back the Pakistanis. And Pakistan's army was driven back from half of Kashmir, but in the meantime the United Nations came in the middle and asked both countries to maintain status quo and find a solution to Kashmir. The king of Kashmir legally included the whole of Kashmir in India. Did it but today half of our Kashmir is left with Pakistan due to United Nations. India faced the attacks of Pakistani terrorist organizations for many decades, now Prime Minister Modi's government started developing Kashmir by eliminating terrorism from Kashmir. Today India There is a difference of night and day in the development of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. People of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir are protesting against Pakistan everyday. People of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir want to integrate themselves with India but Pakistani army Suppressing them, not allowing the international media to go there while the Indian government is encouraging tourists from all over the world to visit Kashmir.

Kashmir is disputed territory for Pakistan not for India because it belongs to India. India is one of the oldest Civilization in the world and Kashmir was always part of it. Pakistan is a country which is created by dividing India into pieces by British in 20th cen. Pakistan was not happy with the territory they have been given, invaded Kashmir n Ladakh region and annexed today's Azad Kashmir and gilgit baltistan by force. it is like son separating from his father not satisfied with his father's land given to him, atacking his own father to grab his land and calling it disputed.

1. I’m sorry the title upset you it was not my intention and I was not aware of the political significance associated with this term

3. I would also call Kashmir governed by Pakistan a disputed territory as it is stated on wikipedia for each part of Kashmir. They are / were disputed whether each side like it or not (including China part) - one party cannot unilaterally decide that a dispute does not exist, it is possible to assert both that Kashmir is an integral part of India and also accept that there is a dispute with other parties, these are not mutually exclusive statements
4. I’m not taking sides in any of this, the word disputed is very different from the word occupied which I did not use purposefully

1) in the airport cab the lady tried to tell you about best food (waazwan). Please remember waazwan isnt a dish but a whole feast …. 7-25+ dishes
2) I am sure you may have realised, the tuk tuk guy mentioned the best dish Shalimar, but poor guy didn’t understand your English…. Shalimar is a Mughal era garden just off the banks of Dal Lake where you stayed.
3) Best thing pick one local as your guide for advise. I think Adil the houseboat owners son was guiding you well. I usually suggest a single taxi driver the whole time. Kashmiri’s feel proud of culture and heritage so tour guide is free 😊
4) The Kashmiri tea you had isn’t the real Kashmiri tea. Adil said the right thing that @kehwa is Kashmiri herbal tea. The real Kashmiri tea come with milk and salt, no sugar and is pink in colour.
I like to travel too, but don’t vlog. I have been to Scotland a few years ago. I had it planned so well in advance…. I wonder if I missed anything there 😜

Pal, I saw your pinned comment and I do understand that not many are aware of this issue, even here in Aus. Here's the info I got from my research by looking into declassified files of British MI, CIA, London Lib archives etc:
• Historically, the name Kashmir itself comes from the Hindu sage Rishi Kashyap as it's been a part of India for thousands of years.
• Be it under Hindu rulers or Muslim rulers, Jammu & Kashmir was always a part of India before Britishers came to India and colonized it. There was no Pakistan to begin with back then.
• Jammu & Kashmir was also officially registered and addressed by the Queen and her Viceroys as an Indian princely state under the British rule.
• India got freedom in 1947 and Pakistan was created in 1947 by the British after partitioning India.
• Every Princely state in India had to sign to join either India or Pakistan but the Hindu King of Jammu-Kashmir desired to remain neutral and thus requested for extra time.
• It's to be noted that British created this formal agreement due to Pakistan as everything including Pakistan was a part of India before 1947 for thousands of years.
• The majority population of Jammu & Kashmir was of Hindus as Ladakh too was a part of Jammu & Kashmir and hence the King was Hindu (Hari Singh). Kashmir's majority population was of Muslims but it's to be noted that Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh were all a single state at the time of Independence hence the Hindu majority.
• But Pakistan could no longer wait and sent their own Military and Mujahideens to conquer Jammu & Kashmir illegally and create a deliberate uprising against the Hindu King of Kashmir. The Pakistani General who planned it has also mentioned it his book "Raiders in Kashmir" and Pakistan has also accepted this in the UN.
• The Hindu King of J&K then signed Instrument of Accession and merged J&K with India legally and officially. It was also officially signed besides the Britishers who overlooked it. Britian thus accepted this agreement of J&K being a part of India again.
• Then the Indian army was dispatched to drive out the Mujahideens and Pakistani army outside of Kashmir.
• The Indian PM Nehru went to UN to condemn this aggression of Pakistan but UN under the Influence of British and USA deliberately used it to create a status of disputed territory although its shouldn't have been as British themselves previously agreed upon the Kashmirs accession to India.
• The USA and British backstabbed India cuz they needed Pakistan to counter USSR in Afghanistan.
• So the area till which Indian army drove out the Pakistani Infiltrators became the Indian Kashmir due to UN ceasefire. Thus, Kashmir got partitioned as some of the areas still remain on the Pakistani side now called as Pakistan occupied kashmir.
• India would've taken back the entire Kashmir had UN deliberately not annouced the ceasefire.
• It's called a disputed territory because there's an LOC(Line of actual control) and not a border.
• UN resolutions said that Pakistan has to vacate the illegally occupied Kashmiri territory and give it back to India for India to hold a plebiscite.
• Pakistan hasn't still vacated the territory and then Indian PM Nehru condemned UN for worsening the matter. He said "I had only asked UN to stop Pakistan's aggression but they instead used to call it a disputed territory although it's not. They misrepresented my position."
• Lastly, Pakistan initiated 4 wars with India to claim the remaining Kahsmir which isn't theirs.
• India was hurt that the west was supporting an Islamic military dictatorship of Pakistan instead of a Democratic India.
• Pakistan lost all the wars with India and signed agreements like Lahore and Shimla agreements wherein it accepted India's position.
• After 9/11, USA realised that it's support to Taliban and Pakistan had backfired and then they tried to take India's position.
• Pakistan realised that it cannot win a conventional war with India so it uses terror outfits to attack Kashmir like Lashkar-e-toiba, Jaish-e-muhammad, Hizbul Mujahideen, Resistance front etc.
• Pakistan was successful in Killing and driving out the Hindu and Sikh population from Kashmir via their initial illegal operation in 1947.
• This was done so that when plebiscite happens, the remaining muslims will vote for Islamic state of Pakistan.
• Pakistan also deliberately gifted the part of J&K called as Aksai Hind (now called as Aksai Chin) to China.
• Nonetheless, India had a legal and official document of Jammu and Kashmir being an integral part of India....even historically too.
• China used this opportunity to destabilize India via Pakistan.
• West used this issue to keep it's stronghold in Afghanistan via Pakistan.
• Russia and Israel came to help India realising the issue.
• As Afghanistan is no longer important to USA and the west like before, they now prefer India to counter China. Typical of our western hypocrisy.
• The west found it useful to help Military dictatorship in Pakistan, Middle east to gain control of oil, to break Russian influence etc.

People of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir want to integrate themselves with India but Pakistani army Suppressing them, not allowing the international media to go there while the Indian government is encouraging tourists from all over the world to visit Kashmir.

Not otherway round. Pakistan separated from India on 14th. August 1947 and they captured part of J&K ( +Gilgit Baltistan ) on 5th. January 1949.
Maharaja Hari Singh ( ruller of Kashmir ) signed memorandum for joining with India in 1947.
