I love the 6 clips in the end . in fact i loved the whole video. You explained everything so well and i loved how you showed everything and compared im clearly years late hope you are still making gummies lol
It was a big hit and was very useful in drinking games. We used a few small bowls out on the table and when you were to "take a drink" you would pop a few of them. Great compliment to your regular drinks.
thank you! i bought the generic one from walgreens because the haribo kind was sold out. the black forest ones i believe were too soft for the job at hand. thanks again for the tip... i will try this again sometime.
Hellll yea! congrats on the party and success with the ladies. These things are great for girls and parties in general. People find themselves just continuously snacking on them and getting a good buzz going.
Yea the leftover liquor can be used to prepare another batch. It will just have less alcohol concentration I think because of the sugar that was given off by the gummies. You'll probably need to add more.
Hey Sandy, it sounds like you waited too long in between stirrings. They will definitely stick if you don't move them around enough. You may be able to pry them apart if it's still pretty early on.
i made some gummie bears using 100 proof vodka last year. it was a great hit. woke up the next morning just relaxing with friends before work and we were still eating them cause they were so good. this is the easiest and funnest way to get drunk
Question: To make sure that I and my party friends are being responsible - it would be helpful to have some idea as to the alcohol content of say 5 gummy bears (or whatever number) just for some kind of guide. Sounds yummy can't wait to try this and thanks for posting.
Yea you have to watch out... some brands don't use as much gelatin and have a lot of fruit juice in them which makes them dissolve quickly. Best to use like Haribo or the ones that are really firm.
Question. After draining out the vodka from the container, is it alright to just let the gummies sit for a few days? Should they remain in the covered container? Or is this something that you should plan to finish on the day of the party? I ask because they've been soaking for a few days but I don't want them to swell anymore, and the party I'm going to is on Saturday.
I would say to probably NOT let them get totally dry but you can put them out in small serving dishes and either put out some chop sticks, skewers or toothpicks or just try and let them air dry on a baking sheet or some paper towels for a few minutes.
So do they dry back out like they were before adding the vodka? Are they dry enough to eat with your hands? I would think to serve them you would need to put them in little cups (like jelly shot cups).
Honestly I would recommend the flavored vodka as it can infuse a fruity flavor directly to the core of the gummy bears. If you use unflavored vodka it will have a more harsh vodka taste and just a mild fruitiness. One thing I thought about trying to infuse the bears with was some Parrot Bay. They make some good fruity alcohol. Or even a a flavored rum.
After that batch would you recommend more than half a cup of orange juice or was that just enough to not take away the vodka taste but still taste the vodka
Hi, can you please answer me! ive seen alot of diffrent clips about this, one video said it only takes 1 hour, one said 12 hours, 2 said 24 hours, one said 2 days and one said 5 days.. im really confused :/ also if you take a handfull of gummybears and put it in a water glass and fill it with vodka wouldnt it take alot quicker? Also, when theese are done and soaked how long can you save them?
The soda might disolve the bears as stuff like coca cola is known to dissolve all kind of stuff. You could give it a shot with some sprite or orange soda or something perhaps?
I have been trying to find decent jello shots and no luck! I have never made them before. I'm not sure if/which fruits would be good with what alcohol or if they're better without fruit. The best ratio of alcohol to jello. What to put them in for a party that would be "cool or different." What consistency is best. Do you just set them all out on the table or take them out of the fridge some at a time? Would you please make some in a video? Please:) Thank you:)
Made these before. You need a huge amount of vodka to pull these off - plus a sweetened juice. My favourite recipe consists of (a pound of gummies + around 2 liters of vodka + 1 tin of frozen concentrated fruit punch). It makes for a sweet vodka gummy.
hey, so whats with putting the vodka in plastic? Is it true that if its not a high quality, or specific grade plastic, the vodka could potentially absorb chemicals from the plastic into the alcohol?
Hey, great video! Any reason why it wouldn't work for gummy eyeballs? Found them at Candy Warehouse online, thinking of doing it for Halloween. Thanks!
Yea they do have a fruity flavor still but are not nearly as sweet as the normal unsoaked product. One thing you can do is add in some juice like on day 2 and it should absorb some of that as well.
I have never cared for Vodka, it's the only thing I've ever gotten drunk off (my sister says I'm a Lightweight)... I will drink Vanilla Rum or Spiced Rum in moderation, meaning maybe one bottle's worth in 1 year. Do you think a good Rum would work well with these?
As you can see from some of the comments below it appears that Everclear or any grain alcohol just will not work properly. I don't know if it's from the extremely high proof or what but it tends to mess things up. Why not just go with a good tasting 80 proof vodka and make something everyone will want to eat and not vomit from :)
@TheNameIsChristian We did a small test batch with unflavored vodka and it still came out really well. Just imagine the taste of a Jello Shot. It's still fruity and sweet but has a bit more of a kick.
Perhaps that may be the reason beacuse i only Soaked them in volka the first day and did not stirr and left it in for a full 24hr without stirring and became sticky and more jello like..
Yes you can! Make sure it isn't too high proof (100 or more won't usually work) and use something that you can tolerate the taste of. I wouldn't use like Tequila or something because of it's taste ;)
ive actually tried this and mixed it with gummy worms and a fruit salad, the party i threw got the chicks loose and happy... and i got some by the end of the night, thanks brotha!
I think that the half of a cup worked out fine. Using Vodka straight works well too it just has a bit stronger flavor. Just tough it out and eat this straight and chase them with a beer or mixed drink :)
Well it's really hard to tell as it depends on the amount of alcohol, proof and amount of gummies you use. I would say about 20-30 bears would be equivalent to 1-2 ounces of vodka. The good thing about them is that you can enjoy these slowly throughout the night and it wont sneak up on you and make you sick. It's not like you'll sit there and eat 50-100 bears in an hour... or at least i hope not! :)
I'm a big Hyundai fan :) I've owned five already and plan to upgrade again in the future. Also I have a friend at my local dealership who lets me take cars for a spin and review for my channel here! thanks for subscribing!
Sure you could easily do a rum soaked version that would be good as well. I'm a fan of pineapple or coconut rum. Anything fruit flavored or tropical works well with the fruity gummy bears.
Honestly we used this as a little snack in between cocktails to keep the alcohol coming in while still having fun. Not as a sole source of getting drunk.
I've actually made that in the past but it's just waaay too sweet for my taste. At least with the gummies you can snack on them and they arent overly sweet. Thanks for watching and the suggestion!
Hold out my brotha! Almost there :) You'll love the freedom of being able to drink legally and not having to hide or binge drink at parties and stuff haha
can some one pleas tell me how much is to much when it comes to the gummy bears im doing this for a very small party of six people and i dont want to make to little or to much and i dont want to give any one alcohol posining .
I love the 6 clips in the end . in fact i loved the whole video. You explained everything so well and i loved how you showed everything and compared im clearly years late hope you are still making gummies lol
I love the sound it makes.
I've kept a huge batch of these in the fridge for up to 5 weeks!
It was a big hit and was very useful in drinking games. We used a few small bowls out on the table and when you were to "take a drink" you would pop a few of them. Great compliment to your regular drinks.

My friend I am 15 and this is probably the best alcoholic invention I have ever witnessed and shall be using it soon, I THANK YOU!
How many gummy bears you need to eat to get tipsy? great videos man!!!
Hey Sandy, it sounds like you waited too long in between stirrings. They will definitely stick if you don't move them around enough. You may be able to pry them apart if it's still pretty early on.
sounds great for a party in going to saturday.gon grab the stuff wednesday.thanks
Wow! Never thought my little tutorial would go worldwide! You'll have to let me know how the party goes. Best of luck!
I am going to try this recipe to service at my dinner party in couple of weeks. Thanks for sharing :) BTW I think this dog is sooo adorable.

Looks really nice man! Im growing tired of doing usual Vodka shots, i might do this for next party instead. Fun to mix it up, Great video, thank you!
I would say to probably NOT let them get totally dry but you can put them out in small serving dishes and either put out some chop sticks, skewers or toothpicks or just try and let them air dry on a baking sheet or some paper towels for a few minutes.
How You tried with Sour Patch, If so ... Would you perfer them over Hummie bears? I'm pretty sure the gummie bears will observe more tho....
Haribo bears are pretty awesome but these ones from my local grocery chain were on sale and worked out just as good!
So do they dry back out like they were before adding the vodka? Are they dry enough to eat with your hands? I would think to serve them you would need to put them in little cups (like jelly shot cups).
You can just leave them to air dry or put them out on some paper towels. If frozen I'm not sure how it would affect them.

From Mexico, gonna try this for next week! thanks

Do you run the risk of your gummies melting if there is too much vodka? I only plan on soaking mine for 2 days BTW.
give this to the trick or treaters showing up at your house and you are my hero
Do I need to put them in the fridge? Or it works anyway without putting them in?
Both should work great! Good luck and enjoy.
That's the attitude i was looking for. Estonia FTW!
Would the process go faster if you put them in the freezer?
do you get drunk if you eat those? like will it effect at the same way as normal vodka?
Are the gummys still sweet after 3 to 4 days of soaking? can i add a sugar in it?
Yes for sure!
WHOOF! Burns just thinking about it! Have fun and be safe :)
Hey, great video! Any reason why it wouldn't work for gummy eyeballs? Found them at Candy Warehouse online, thinking of doing it for Halloween.
Thanks!
what about drying the gummy bears before soaking? so they absorb more vodka?
do they dry out?
Do you think it would be possible to put some kind of sweet flour (icing sugar, maybe) on them, to make them less sticky/slippery?
so how many day did this take
Pool full of liquor and those bears dove in.
Just made my second batch of these for Friday.
would this work with rum? Not a huge fan of vodka so just curious
this is so coool lol
how many would get you drunk?
I'll see what I can do! Should be hosting another party in a few weeks and I'll give that a shot!
if you have a party say on saturday and the gummies are finished on thursday.how do u preserve them?
Yea they do have a fruity flavor still but are not nearly as sweet as the normal unsoaked product. One thing you can do is add in some juice like on day 2 and it should absorb some of that as well.
Hey from Czech Republic! This is a damn good idea! Definitely doing it on my Switch Gender party next month haha :D
It was bomb! It was sweet and tasted like gummies with a kick.
Gummy flavored Gummies OMFG.... Gummyception!
Do you drink the vodka or toss them out?how do you serve them?
It's the best show. seriously.
Were they dry or wet when you hate the, at the table?

Awesome!! Thanks for the help on this!!!
New to your channel so when I saw that title of this vid plus your channel name I was kinda confused lol
Yes you can! Make sure it isn't too high proof (100 or more won't usually work) and use something that you can tolerate the taste of. I wouldn't use like Tequila or something because of it's taste ;)
So why do most sites say not to use a plastic container, both gummy bears and vodka can come in plastic containers
ive actually tried this and mixed it with gummy worms and a fruit salad, the party i threw got the chicks loose and happy... and i got some by the end of the night, thanks brotha!
Yes sir they soak in the fridge for a couple days.
I think that the half of a cup worked out fine. Using Vodka straight works well too it just has a bit stronger flavor. Just tough it out and eat this straight and chase them with a beer or mixed drink :)

How do you store them and do they kind of dry out or do they stay wet?
do you have to put it in the fridge?
I'm a big Hyundai fan :) I've owned five already and plan to upgrade again in the future. Also I have a friend at my local dealership who lets me take cars for a spin and review for my channel here! thanks for subscribing!

I bet this would go AMAZING with the new Pinnacle Gummy flavor!
i love the pictures at the end lol
Heck yea! Also I'm considering doing this for halloween but with gummy brains and eyeballs!!! HAHA
how many does it take for you to get a good buzz personally?
I've actually made that in the past but it's just waaay too sweet for my taste. At least with the gummies you can snack on them and they arent overly sweet. Thanks for watching and the suggestion!
But did you get drunk
requires more prep time but def will try this
You can even drink the excess Vodka if there's any left over. It'd taste really good with the gummy taste.
is there a way for kids to make something like this? like with a non alcoholic beverage?????
Will this work with other alcohol?
Now how long are you supposed to soak the gummies for?!
a couple of days. I'd say depending on the amount 2-5 days.
Whats better this or skittles vodka?
Hold out my brotha! Almost there :) You'll love the freedom of being able to drink legally and not having to hide or binge drink at parties and stuff haha
Weeee! I'm SO going to try this out!
Good excuse to throw a party! :D
how much vodka
totally trying this!!! love it! our drinking age is 18 too here, from Ireland :)
There was a lid on the container I used to soak them in...
how many gummy bears to get drunk?
can some one pleas tell me how much is to much when it comes to the gummy bears im doing this for a very small party of six people and i dont want to make to little or to much and i dont want to give any one alcohol posining .
How long and how do you keep them
I had to google that show and it was actually pretty funny! Thanks for the heads up. -Ders sound-alike :)
She does every time I make them! :)
Crazy party at the end. ;)
oh yeah and i definitely will be trying these
Has anyone put them in the freezer for the last day to harden them up a bit? Just wondering if it's a good idea or not.
