This is proof of how important verbiage and vocabulary are in instructional training. "Push-Plant-Pull" and "Snapshot" are just elaborate and concise enough without being something I'd consider...... "Esoteric Minutiae".

Its strange saying Seal team 6 and Delta outloud? Even though they both probably have 6 books and the average Joe knows more about these guys and their team than they know about any regular grunt platoon. That by the way in my experience the average Marine infantry squad has alot more combat actions due to the fact they live outside the wire and dont fly back to team house and Burger King. We used to call NSW Ferrari's great paint job but not a scratch because they stay in the garage gear clean as can be.Thats from someone who has been on both sides from Grunt to Operator but know civilians care about the daily constant gunfights of a regular Grunt and they are the ones who rack up the bucks on patreon because no vets giving shit to these self Publicist.

Well said, I’m one of the few that says grunts live combat while operators take strategic parts in combat. No disrespect as most regular grunts couldn’t complete their training requirements but truth is, we lived daily without a key element they cherish.... the element of surprise!

Just like the civilian workforce, the better you are, the harder you work, you win the privilege of having a higher position (Manager/ CEO) & doing less work because you earned it.
You stay on the grunt level, not willing or capable of progressing up in the food chain then you will be stuck doing the hardest, dirtiest, most active work.
Life has a hierarchy system in every aspect of life & the people who earn the right to be at the tip of that system do less work.
Simple as that. If you work hard enough & move up in the food chain you will have a easier life because you worked hard to deserve a easier life, thats not hard to understand; the only people who disagree with that are people at the bottom not willing to try harder & advance. The current system is too divided because the people at the bottom legit can't live without suffering & that should never happen no matter what tier of the hierarchy you find yourself at, nobody should be suffering to just live (Low class in the USA)
Want less combat? Join Tier 2 or Tier 1 & stop complaining that you're doing all of the heavy suck ass work while you're a Tier 3.

Every time I hear Navy Seals talking about Marines they're always full of praise and admit they did the heavy lifting (in Ramadi). Just read Jocko's books or Chris Kyle's and they have tons of praise for the Marines. I'd love to read a good book about the Marines in Ramadi.
