After years of addiction to cynical, conspiratorial, provocative, pseudo-intellectual, attention-seeking and agenda-pushing content on RUclips, it is a genuine joy to watch a channel like this one... Especially, as it ties in with my love of actually learning to play darts, as opposed to just watching it.
Some great darts in there Samson, try not to be so hard on yourself. You had a lot of close darts and was moaning at yourself, but others that were slightly more wayward but in the treble next door you were saying 'unlucky'. Keep consistent with your thoughts as well as throwing. And that score in singles training is really good at your level, just a little off from an average of 2 per throw and with pressure to produce for your viewers. Keep up the good work 👍🏼🎯
@@SamsonDoesDarts180 confidence will always be there when playing at home. I'm your head you know that you hit 1, 2 or 3 darts straight. If you narrowly miss what you're aiming for just think why you missed it. I miss silly shots at home and I know why coz of how the dart/hand/arm feels when I'm throwing. You pick it up enough times on your videos. You'll get there, we're all on this journey with you mate 👍🏼
My tip (but i dont think youll need it) is try to minimize the rocking motion. Keep your body still and only move the arm. Also dont try to throw with a gimmick(not you but in general). Make it thoughtless and smooth without thinking about grip, movement and pause...it comes natural
The wrist is snapping back well, but as it gets past halfway it seems to fall with the arm at the same pace, try keeping in mind with the wrist flick the position in which the wrist will end, IE when you throw a good dart with your wrist going all the way through, try and remember the shape in which your arm takes at the end of the process, and try to reach this position on the end of each throw, consciously think when throwing that you have an end position in mind with regards to your arm/wrist placement at the end of a good throw. Try and maintain the same shape of your hand all the way through, this will help eliminating any unwanted rotation of the wrist and will build consistency. I been playing darts properly for about 20 months, going from rock bottom average to around a 60 and, so i have recently progressed through and past your level, i admire your passion to improve so trying to help if i can! Also, please don't take my advice as gospel, as i am definitely not the fountain of knowledge, but just some helpful tips that i found helped my game progress :)
First up congratulations on that great progress. That’s a lot of hours and hard work. The way you’ve explained how my wrist falls with the arm at the same pace makes so much sense to me. It has definitely been something that hasn’t ever felt right. The next stage of me getting this follow through correct is following your advice. Thanks for this!
It looks like you're too fixed at trying to get the treble every time. Just go for the large single segment, then once completed go doubles, then trebles. Will help you focus more. Also why reward yourself with extra points for double or treble if you're not intentionally going for them.
These are all good points. The game on the app encourages it by getting more points for trebles but maybe there’s an option only to focus on the singles and no extra points for doubles and trebles. I will check that out as that makes sense. Cheers hadn’t thought of that
When im playing the single game i only want to hit singles because when youre in a game and you want to hit the 1 and you hit triple 1 than its not good. So no extra point for that
@@SamsonDoesDarts180been not a bad week in all mate . U should defo try this practice on random mate , I find not knowing what's coming next gives u that pause you need to refocus and set ur self up on the next single Also mate I have been thinking about your dart bot games and how u say your weak on your scoring . Have u tried playing bot with 301 instead until u feel your getting higher scores . I did this for the first few months of my training until I felt i could move up to 501 when my score improved. Mixed it up a bit on 301 by making it a double to start the game off Just a thought mate , as always what do I know lol 😂
@@markbradford864 ah I forgot to change it to random. I remember you saying this last time and I recall agreeing with you then too. I look forward to me forgetting again next time. Interestingly my scoring has improved in the last few weeks. I’m gonna do a scoring video soon. I’m actually on holiday for a week and I filmed this and the next at the weekend but once back will get a scoring one out to see where I’m at.

Thanks mate. I am working on being kinder to myself. I don’t think it serves me well at a sport where confidence is key.

Great advice. Much appreciated as usual.

Long sleeves though
Loose enough. I promise. I wouldn’t let you down again noobz
Samson could yo make it so the camera is face on , it's hard to see where the darts are landing from that view
Yeah I’m gonna try and do that. Always up for ideas to make the videos a little better. Cheers man
