What I most appreciate about your channel and content is the reality of playing darts. "Every dart is to be thrown on its merit." Don't dwell on the bad dart or missed targets. Reset your mind and get on with it. Very helpful, Samson! And of course, "I've reset my mind so much on this go I've forgotten what number we're on." 🤣
You are spot on with the mental side of your three darts. You can also apply that to your 20s. Your confidence in throwing 19s is very high, because you mentally fear missing on the 20, but 19 is a fall back comfort zone. I bet you’d get different results if you put a piece of tape over the 20 and 19 numbers, and draw a 19 over the 20, and a 20 over the 19, and play like that. See if you start missing the low number (old 19, which is now 20), and start hitting the 19 (which is the old 20). You’ll see if your 20 problems are mental or mechanical. I’d bet on the outcome of that.
Pulled it back right at the end there, good game. A bit off topic, but have you ever thought about investing in a dartboard light. Honestly it makes so much difference when playing it's like night and day and probs help improve your game somewhat. I picked up a Mission Torus 270 a few months back and could never go back to playing without a light.
Nice and I guess it is like night and day. I’m using these ring lights I use for the videos as my board light although might invest in one at some point !
I play darts some month. And I am so bad on doubles. What makes me better was try to check imaginary 40 (or 36 or what ever) with 3 darts. double 20, 10, 5 no matter when hit D20, try next one on 10 and 5. Or if hit D1 then aim to D19. Starting every round with 40 again. To aim every dart to another target increased my accuracy. And good for real checkout situations if hitting singles.
@@SamsonDoesDarts180 Try to like push the dart from the back and forward if that makes sense with a smooth throw, Imagine like having the puck on the blade of a Hockey stick and wisk it away with a forward motion instead of doing a slapshot like , Will help the follow through and help keeping your arm straight. Leaning a bit forward will also help you keep your elbow straight but lean to much and it will do the opposite 💪.
your sense of humor is up my street old freind
Big love brother

Interesting stuff. Sounds about right!!!
Great darts Samson, keep up the good work. Maybe try some combination (2 or 3 darts) checkouts 👍🏼🎯
Good plan, I will get something done this week!

Try throwing a bit more gentle, 100% it will make your throw way more steady and straight :)
Thanks. I have been trying to do this more. Quite a tricky shift.
