Hello everyone! Here are some time markers: positioning for low notes: 0:30, close up on my flute embouchure: 2:58, 6 tips start at 4:35 (tip 1- 4:58, tip 2- 7:30, tip 3- 9:02, tip 4- 11:31, tip 5- 13:23, tip 6- 14:26). Thanks for watching!
Superbe video! Just started playing the flute after i got one for free when i bought an accordion and i was able to do my 1st very intense deep note and its amazing!
thank you so much for this!! i was considering giving up on flute because i just couldn't get any sound when covering more than 3 keys. i was really getting helpless but this helped a lot thank you!!!!!
I enjoyed this video. It has really helped. I am using Trevor Wye's Beginner book 1, you don't see d until page 35. It has helped redevelop my embouchure. Yes to long tones.
Thank you. Just what I needed. Hope it'll help... I've been playing for 3 years, still pretty much stuck where I started 😕 Your flute seems to have a much better foot joint keys design as well - on mine it's impossible to make an easy slide from B/C#/C to E♭... I'm also wondering why you recommend _not_ rolling the bottom lip over one's teeth. I don't think sticking it out's ever worked for me at all, but I'm a saxophonist, so I'm biased.
I tried your shark face method long ago around the time I was first a beginner on flute and keeping that embouchure in mind till this day I’ve had people tell me I have a wonderful tone your videos are so helpful thank you!!!
THANK YOU!!!! You expertly explain many great tips! What worked for me (today!) was opening my teeth! WOW! What a difference that little tip made! I will NEVER forget it! Again, THANK YOU for doing what you do so well for the rest of us!🥰
I'm learning to play the flute for the first time and I don't have any top teeth could that cause me not to be able to get the low C? Please any advice?
Make sure the flute us adjusted (you can have someone hold the keys you aren't playing down and see if there is a difference too.) Go down all the tones from where you can play a true tone and hold the notes. Adjust as necessary.
I have a strange problem when whenever I play a note or another note they all sound the same… But certain are different… Why is this happening? Also, thanks for the tips!
Hi, my comment doesn’t pertain to low notes, but I noticed that you and other youtubers don’t pull out your head joints. I always have to to stay in tune. Do you know why this is?
My head joint is pulled out, I guess it just isn't visible ^_^. Some head joints may not be as obvious to see pulled out as others because of the finish on the flute, but I assure you it is pulled out some ^_^

This is very helpful, we have a test tomorrow on playing flute notes and I can’t get a sound and this really helped(out of character)

Awesome! You're so welcome 🥰
Thank you for the video, very useful
Wow-what an incredible amount of help in one video! I have lots of notes and will work on your suggestions.
Could you give some tips about low C I'm having trouble playing it
Thank you so much for sharing these helpful tips with such clear explanation! :)
Stumbled here.
Glad I did. 👍
I started playing the flute a few days ago and I was trying to work my way up and bloody hell low B is the hardest thing ever! 🤣
You have a B foot joint? 👀 Does your flute feel heavy then?
This helped alot 😭
I like your method of explaining
:-( I have been trying to fix my flute and get it to play the lower notes thank you but I still can't :(
Very helpful. Thanks!
It's tonguing the low notes that is a big problem, especially when there are multiples (e.g. Berbiguier #1)
Thank you so much!! At last I can play low D and improve volume
Wonderful! ❣️
I'm watching this a day before my band auditions are due so I sure hope this works lol
My normal C and B flat doesn’t work and I end up playing D for them instead of the right notes. Do you know why is that?
D is a harmonic of Bb, you could be overblowing to it?
I'm learning to play the flute for the first time and I don't have any top teeth could that cause me not to be able to get the low C? Please any advice?

thank you so much! my flute wasnt playing low notes correctly, and this video helped me realize what was actually wrong with it!
Awesome!

No sound coming from the lowest note C (Do). Re is fine
I still can't do it. This is so sad.

I think it’s because if you pull your head joint out it’s easier to play low notes
My name is Lauren 😀

You're cute ma'am:D , and thanks for the tips :")
