For any King of Fighters fans wondering why Rick Stroud's moveset is extremely similar to Vanessa's, that's because Vanessa indeed stole Rick's moveset albeit including her own versions of a couple moves. Considering KOF in general is supposed to be a showcase of all of SNK's IPs, it's a real damn shame they couldn't fit Rick in and just created a new character in order to retroactively put Rick's moveset in.

Rick is more like Heavy D than Vanessa. Heavy and Rick's play style are about turning mid range pokes into short but high damage combos, Vanessa is all combos and is rather weak if she doesn't have multiple super bars to extend her combos with. Even in their animations Rick's attacks are mostly crosses and jabs while Vanessa's are mostly hooks and uppers. Now that she doesn't have Hellion anymore all they really have in common are the back dash and command dodge. They could be in the same game and feel entirely different, we already had the much less interesting Nelson in XIV.

Laurence got nerfed badly in this game, so I decided to play with this guy. I wasn't disappointed; he's really good and fun. I only wish he could be in KoF or other games too.

TAS quer dizer "tool assisted play" (jogo auxiliado por ferramentas). Ou seja, o cara usa várias ferramentas do emulador pra explorar o jogo, tipo salvar a cada luta, voltar quadros, etc. Ainda um pouco de habilidade e criatividade, mas mesmo assim ainda é TAS.
