    Displaying my Chaos Marine with my Halo Reach and Halo 3 Spartans from mcfarlane is amazing! The scale is believable to me! Haha

    Joy toy actually looks more attractive to me. However, despite being aware of the Ultramarines for a long time I didn't really play the game, so I wasn't keen on collecting it. I'm a Comic book geek, and grew up with Marvel and DC, so naturally the 6 and 7 inch lines are the bulk of my collection. When I saw how reasonably priced the Mcfarlane Ultramarines were, and how I could integrate them into my collection, I gave it a go. If my collection was in the 1/18tb scale however, I would have collected Joy Toy. It's a scale issue for me at this point. It's too expensive to get both scales with all the price increase these days, but Mcfarlane keeps his prices consistently. And that made the difference.

      I understand where you are coming from for sure. McFarlane from my understanding has always done action figures of comic books so I understand why you would stick to the McF action figures.
      I on the other hand, am very new to the action figure scene (but not 40k) and obviously because I need to create content, I buy all brands of action figures that are related to Warhammer.
      I think out of all the 3 brands that currently produce 40K action figs, JoyToy despite all its crappy painting, still remains my favorite.

      @@SpruesNStuds Honestly, if I had the resources to buy all the different scales, I would. The Joy Toys are really very tempting, but I have to stay within budget. I like watching your videos though. After all, they are quite informative and also very interesting.

    I collect neca Predators, and I searched for Space Marines to put them in a fighting position. I saw a Joy Toy, and I liked it very much, but the size is too small, unfortunately, because the Predators are 8 inches. I wanted to buy a McFarlane, but they lack clear paint.

    • @SpruesNStuds
      @SpruesNStuds  2 года назад +2

      JoyToy's painting is more detailed compared to McFarlane in general. Both of the action figure makers do have some painting issues with JT being a bit sloppy and McFarlane not putting enough paint on their figures. Either way, when you throw them in a display cabinet, these issues disappear when you are looking far away. In the end as a Warhammer 40k fan, I'm just glad that someone is producing action figures now!

      @@SpruesNStuds Yes, after thinking, I decided to buy Black Legion, but there is a paradox in the prices. Some stores sell it at 52, and some sell it at 70, and I don't know why.

      @@JN_KR20 wow, I have not seen that much price disparity between the same action figures. Almost online stores sell within $5-10USD of each other.
      I only own 3 Black Legion action figs and while they are solid, again, they do have painting issues (but take that with a grain of salt as I am a miniature painter by trade so my view is skewed)

    For me its value for money so its hands down McFarlane. That said, IF Joytoy were to ever go retail with a retail price then I'd probably spend far too much on them to army build... as well as the Halo 4 inch since its the perfect scale.

    Sculpture and body Scale mcfarlane win, color paint joytoy is good, mcflarlane could do more of this type, maybe a astarter, or just more chaos stuff, in my opinion, 40k original set body scale is not fit for realistic version, mcfarlane did it good, they got the experience and good artist working on that, joytoy scale look defference because they got a confused scale between the real one and the chess one, maybe some like it, but not work for me.

      Hey there! Thanks for leaving a comment and engaging in conversation as I appreciate that!
      McF does make really good action figs. They are very true to the miniatures in terms of accuracy. I just wish that they would put a little bit more effort in color selection. If the colors were a bit more "appealing" then I believe that the McF would have won in my opinion.
