Hooks size Black magic 1/0 C Point or Gamakatsu 1/0 Octopus or Mustard 1/0 bait holder. You can also use a size 2/0 which is the next size up. Weight, 1oz sinker, ball or bean, smaller the better. A much more natural float/drift is the way to go. Bait I use most of the time is local piled prawn from Gippsland lakes or Cured sand worm also works a treat. Presentation is the key...... I hope this helps you. There are still plenty about in the local rivers at the moment. Reports are the Tambo seems to be the place, once again.

I was just shy of a record sized fish down there in the 80s. Had to fold it over to get it in the Esky.😂
@@Jonny_Nemo and what size was it. I no a guy who recently caught a 50cm bream from the Tambo River about a month ago. My PB is 43cm....
