- Today I picked up not one, but two Magic Bags from the Too Good To Go app, which matches food surplus to customers, and at heavily discounted pricing.
I go to Costa Coffee, and also give Greggs another chance for a better result after a slightly disappointing haul last time out. Will I be happier with the haul I get this time?

I have never used the app before but I'm tempted to just to see what I can get my hands on
Give it a go - you do occasionally get a duff one, but quickly learn to avoid those places and go to the ones you get better results from !
The look of pure joy on your face when you brought out the sausage rolls, was lovely!

That is more like it! Those bags were amazing. The only item I would struggle with would be the Bean & Cheese Toastie; I mean what concoction is that? 😝And Ideally from Greggs I would have a Yum Yums pastry instead of the pink doughnuts.

New subscriber! I just learned about this app this week. Only one chain of stores/gas stations are on the app. The employees don't know what it is yet. When I go to pick it up, they go directly to the fresh hot food and fill me up. We've been getting loads of food that will last for several days!

I've had it on my phone for ages but have never used it. I got inspired to give it a go watching these videos. Just reserved myself a Costa bag for tomorrow.

many of the Greggs bags seem to have Sausage rolls in.
the only down side is that you could end up with a bag of bread and buns

Did a lot better with the Greggs this time. But pulling out those BLTs right at the start was the winner for me!!

for morrisons its surgesting one too far when there is one easyier to get to at Teignmouth instead of Torquay mildlemore not been that way its near the foot ball ground 🤣

Value on this stuff is very great
Yes, it's a win-win situation I think - the business gets some money for food they might otherwise dispose of, and the customer gets a good value meal (or bakery items anyway!)

Yeah, it’s a bit of a lottery as to what you get, but as long as you go into it with an open mind and aren’t a fussy eater then you can get some real bargains. Got a new video coming out tomorrow with some more magic bags from other places if you wanna check that too 😉

Yeah, mostly I agree with that, although I am always a little careful of items with salad in when the date is expired, that can be a little dodgy! Thanks for watching!!
The date on the M&S sandwiches is not a Use By date. It is a Sell By and/or Best By/Before date. Not sure why you have a problem with eating something as basic as a doughnut and for some reason consider it only appropriate for children.
Hi Jim, thanks for your comment and feedback. Maybe I misunderstood the information on the M&S sandwiches, although something like a BLT probably doesn’t keep that well as the salad and tomatoes just make the bread soggy. As for the doughnuts, I don’t have a problem with eating them, I’m just not fond of iced doughnuts. I like the traditional jam filled sugary ones, but iced ones or Krispy Kreme etc. just don’t do it for me. Thanks for watching!

Vegan cheese 14 minutes to cook - I’m impressed as vegan cheese and cockroaches would be the only thing to survive a nuclear war! 😂

Give to foodbank
Food banks near me only take tins, cans, packets etc. Not fresh items with short shelf life. I do make regular donations to my local foodbank, as I believe that I am in a fortunate enough position to be able to do so. Quite how we have gotten to the situation that government support for folk struggling doesn’t extend to making sure they are able to eat enough to survive is beyond me.

Hi Keith. I appreciate the sentiment of your message, and it is something I am conscious of. The point of my video is to highlight an app that many people are not aware of (I certainly wasn't until fairly recently) and I can only do that by showing examples of what you might expect to receive. I am aware that there are people who may need the help more than I do, so I have a policy that I would never take the last available bag from a particular outlet.
