Sunset Riders: SNES (Hard) - Stage 8 and Ending

- The final visit to Richard Rose is here... After going through the game twice already, we get to see the hardest this fight can get. First though, lets talk about the stage... The stage itself is mostly unchanged from the Arcade version... except one thing... The gatling gun segment has been removed entirely. Now you just teleport from where the first gatling gun would have been, to the area just after using the second gatling gun. This shortens the stage significantly and makes it rather... dull really.
Richard Rose himself is not so much of a pain... but his minions are INTENSE on Hard mode! There are bullets flying around everywhere, and all you can do to dodge them is dodge, weave, and slide for dear life while trying to keep the minions from shooting too much. Once all the minions are down though, the battle is pretty much as straight-forward as ever...
Beating the game on Hard mode gets you an ending similar to the Arcade version. Only difference here is only the characters that were being used for the final battle will be in the credits. Thus, only one character is shown for a one-player game, and two for two-players.
That is all for Sunset Riders though... time to do something different, and much more relaxing!

Richard Rose theme quite gives you the desesperation you might be feeling when you fight him
i've only managed to beat the snes version on the hardest difficulty once in my lifetime, and it's honestly one of the most challenging things i've done in my gaming history. the only thing that comes close is beating super ghouls 'n ghosts on professional.
To um pouco frustrado pq demorei pra caramba pra zerar no Normal e agora descobri que tem que zerar no Hard. Isso realmente aumenta muito a vida útil desse jogo. Frustrado porém feliz

For what its worth, the SNES version was always going to be severely limited. I'll admit that I'd take the arcade version any day over the SNES version, but the SNES version is at least somewhat faithful to the arcade version compared to the Genesis version (yeah, that's a whole other game right there...). Overall, great playthrough. Better than what I could do on Hard mode years ago. And I still can't do it thanks to Chief Wigwam.

Its weird our version of Sunset was the arcade style in it for Snes.
Was this the PAL version? Because that might explain why you were able to dodge the bullets better.

@CronicNeurotic You made this comment 2 months ago, so I am going to make you mad by responding. I hate to tell you this, but is a safe spot for the final boss if you are using either one of the pistol guys. You can hit all of the minions and SRR not be able to hit you. With very minor dodging (ducking, one step left/right), you can dodge all of the minions' shots, too.
I Like How It Only Took 11 People To Make This Game Now Day's When You Beat a Game say For Xbox 360 or PS3 The Credits are Four Times as Long. lol

@@CristianJCP cuando éramos niños muy chicos se jugaba en 4 player en arcade y cuando uno seleccionaba a Cormano se aventaban y hasta se agarraban a golpes porqué querían jugar con este. Es el único de los 4 que aguarrá la botella y se la quebra en la cabeza, cuando pizas el triyador se faulea y lo mejor cuando peleabas con Greco el otro mexicano antes de morir te aventaban su sombrero y su frase adiós amigo nos emocionaba, la versión SNES censuró todo esto para que no opacara a los otros vaqueros. Los otros 3 son genéricos el mismo personaje con diferente trajes.
