You answered the question I was asking myself this morning about whether spraying alcohol into a painted mould would affect it! I’m guessing similar things happen with mica?
These are so beautiful! And your patience is amazing. Your painting and fixing boggles my mind. I love how beautiful these are. And I love how you chose the pouring resin color. The mixes are perfect for each one. You are an artist. Do you have a video of mixing the mica and alcohol and applying it on the edges?
Thank you so much, I'm not an artist, just like bright colours. I don't have a video of the mica mix, but I just put a small amount in a needle tip 10ml bottle and fill it to the top with 99% alcohol and give it a good shake.
No but not all pens and moulds work, I could paint on these with oil based but others I can only use water based and some none of it works. I have found I can't leave the water based pens, the paint cracked if I left them hours before pouring the resin, where as these oil based ones didn't.

No, actually mica sticks to the mould fine, i usually spray it just before pouring resin to stop bits floating up into the resin so much.

Very pretty 😊
Thank you
Before you paint the molds do you do anything to prepare them? When I paint mine it comes out looking crackled. The paint separates.

@@Prettynotpurrfectcrafts thank you! I only have acrylic ones. I'll have to look into the oil paint pens.
