CitizenPerkins Yeah diminishing the art (yes it is an art form) of BBQ to a Texan is no different than going to Huntsville and taking a dump on top of Sam Houston’s grave lol
"Its just meat and sauce"-- oooohhhh! Man don't say that in public. Especially in a southern state. I didn't even hear the rest of the video because I immediately went to the comments as soon as he said that.
FYI: Barbeque isn't the same as grilling. What your dad does in the back yard grill is grilling. BBQ= A very long process that is smoked and has marinated or special rubs used. Enjoy ur videos! :)
"It's meat and sauce." Heh...ummm...no. It's meat, rub, and the wood they use to smoke. There's Mesquite, oak, maple, hickory, pecan, cherry, apple...and a bunch of others. In fact, in some BBQ circles, if you have to use sauce, you did it wrong.
Hahahaha. I almost jumped out of my bed when he said that!!! Hmmm does he see the connection between that attitude and his statement that English BBQ isn't that great?
@@Ryno_D1no depends on the lunch or dinner. During lunches where one needs to be back at work in less than an hour no unless one takes it to go. But a lunch out with friends and or family where one doesn't have to rush then it can. And oftentimes people go to restaurants for dinner which can be longer. Nicer restaurants tend to take more time than fast food and the ice dose have time to melt. One should not have to drink their soda quickly to prevent ice melt if they don't want to.
Grilling is NOT bbq. In the south, you gonna be murderized if you invite someone over for bbq and you got hamburgers and hot dogs! Only northerners say stuff like that. Bless their hearts❤❤❤
😂 But many dont know if they have a CVS card, they can opt for paperless receipts so they go to your email. If I scan my card or give them my phone #, then no scroll 😂
Right?! Just meat and sauce, how wrong can you get it??!! Well....you just fail to understand what goes into true bbq. Bbq is NOT grilling and slapping sauce on meat.....it is an art, smoking takes 14+ hours!
Yeah but most servers are so used to getting customers a glass of ice with a tablespoon of drink that I've adopted the habit of saying "No ice!" three times.
Laura Greenstreet, I rarely drink sodas so I hate it when the waiter brings a refill and I haven't even drunk an inch out of the first one. Such a waste.
@@robinmills8675 Yeah, I typically waited until they were at a half glass. Then you get your regulars and know if they want refills or not and if so, when. When I was a server at the Cracker Barrel, I surprisingly had a few customers who would want half sweet and half unsweetened iced tea. I didn't have time to play chemistry, so I would take them a glass of sweet tea, tell them to take a drink and see if it was ok. 99% of the time they said it was perfect. Lol. The very few who said it was a little more on the sweet side, I would apologize and they never got upset. But when I would walk through doing refills, I would just alternate giving them sweet tea and the next time unsweetened tea. But yeah, most of the time when they wanted half and half and I took them all sweet, they couldn't tell the difference. Lol
“It’s just meat and sauce?” Tell that to my Uncle Travis who makes the best southern BBQ in the world. He gets up at 6 am and we eat at 6 pm. It’s an all day process to get it right. No offense, we love you Brits but you missed it on this, we take our BBQ seriously. Please try Memphis BBQ once, Mick Jagger used to eat at The Rendezvous, it’s the best.
I'll bet Uncle T is working on his BBQ the day before the BBQ too, and maybe even a day or two before that. A labor of delicious love it is! Just meat and sauce - fightin words if I ever heard 'em!
Apparently it's a regional thing. (from wikipedia, take it or leave it): "In American English usage, grilling refers to a fast process over high heat while barbecuing refers to a slow process using indirect heat or hot smoke... In British usage, barbecuing refers to a fast cooking process done directly over high heat, while grilling refers to cooking under a source of direct, moderate-to-high heat-known in the United States as broiling." But like jonny said, it depends on the context as well. If I'm going to a "backyard barbecue", I would generally expect burgers. We also call a grill a "barbecue". But if someone wanted to "eat barbecue" I'd expect ribs and tri tip and the like.
Dana says- They caught so much grief over that video. They tried 4 different meats (not just chicken), 4 different cobblers, mac n' cheese, and she didn't even eat the "lettuce salad" in the video (she took it back to their hotel to eat later). They did perfectly fine, and that is the great thing about America- no matter what your likes or dislikes, you're bound to find them here, right? My kiddo won't eat any meat other than ribs from BBQ joints.
@@MrJimbo327 Yeah. I never said the sauce was cooked on. Every BBQ place I've ever been to in Texas has plain meat (with dry rubs) and sauce on the side. I don't use the sauce myself because if the meat isn't good without it then it isn't good.
Texas does lovely things with beef brisket. But without a curly tail and a squeal, it ain't true 'Cue. make a trip to Memphis for some REAL barbecue. Now THEM's fightin' words.
Just FYI “barbecuing” and “grilling” are two different things even though some people feel like they can use the two words interchangeably. Burgers are “grilled” (high heat, short time) whereas barbecue is food (usually beef, pork or chicken) that’s cooked under lower heat levels for longer periods of time. A lot of legit bbq restaurants will be smoking their meats for 12+ hours overnight so that it’s ready for the next day.
“How wrong can you get it, it’s just meat and sauce” Brisket that’s been dry rubbed, smoked and then charred on grill before returning to the smoker over the course of multiple days: am I a joke to you?

I wait tables for a living, have done for many years. I work in the historic district of Savannah, GA and interact with people from all over the world. They all get the same service from me -good ole Southern hospitality. 😉 I am amazed that I can make a good living on a system (tipping) that is purely voluntary. Most people tip and do so generously, or at least satisfactorily. My desire to give good service is a point of personal pride and responsibility and it is usually rewarded with monetary compensation. When not, I can at least be happy that I did my job.
Southern hospitality is fantastic! This is why I love to live in GA now. Savannah is beautiful, and a delightful place to visit. Keep up the great job!
Mama Katz I went to Savannah with my daughter, we LOVE Savannah. The service workers encourage patrons to take their alcoholic drinks to go when they leave. Very laidback vibe in that city, my kind of folks. I’m from Arkansas so I get the hospitality thing 100%, it’s just how we are.
It's a CVS specific thing. I hate their receipts and they obviously don't care about their customers or the environment because everyone has complained for years and they do NOTHING. I only go there as a last resort
Did you know there are dedicated "farms" which grow trees to be processed into paper. There are actually more forests in the US now than there were 200 years ago.
Sure. But all the old growth forests are gone. I was trying to put a screw in a post in an old building and the heads of the screws broke off. The post was made from "heart of pine". The wood was compressed by the weight of the tree being over 100 years old. They used to make furniture out of it that lasted seemingly forever.
@@robertcuminale1212 Not all gone, but going fast. They need to be protected. The EU is causing a lot of trees to be cut in the South for wood pellets.
I came to London 7 months pregnant. The lack of ice in drinks killed me. Dead. I was so thirsty the whole time I was there. Perishing... the only water I drink is melted ice in my drinks. Lol 😂😂😂
I'm a 64 year old man and an American. I've made many purchases in my life and can tell you that I have never, ever gotten a receipt like that when purchasing a single item. Simple...don't go to a CVS again.
Hey Joel, I keep hearing how much it bothers you that we put so much ice in drinks at restaurants. Simle solution...order soda without ice plus a glass of ice on the side. Use as mush/little as you like! Thats what we do! 🙂
He may be speaking of our soda machines which add water to the syrup so usually don't taste as strong as a can of pop? Then ice is added to the glass, so of course it would taste watery to them.
@@ohioitis200 Well, that wasn't what I have been hearing...he specifically talks about a waitress bringing him soda. I'm sure the soda machine is also an issue as that's just gross.
I'm an American who gets the ice on the side when I order soft drinks (mostly in winter, as I'm a southerner). The wait staff has never even flinched, so it's perfectly fine. The customer should get what they want if it's not unreasonable.

I can’t stand drinks with no ice. Every time I’m in London, I have to tell them drag the glass through the ice until they see ice at the top. Uggg, room temp drinks are vile. Love you guys :-)
Kind of depends on the time of year if you think about it. Drink an icy drink mid-December & your tonsils will be extra happy. Which is why I mix hot water with my room-temp. water every morning.

I’m more disturbed that you bought a bottle of wine in CVS than I am of the length of the receipt 😩 That had to be a dreadfully awful bottle of wine if CVS is selling it 😂🤣😂
Well, that's probably true for wine snobs. This is the reason that bottles of wine can sometimes fetch $40 or more. A big price in a fancy store with an unusual label? Who CARES what it tastes like?! I paid a lot of money, so it HAS to be good. I hate this attitude. This is why the Aussies can ship a perfectly good bottle of pinot noir or cabernet sauvignon 12,000 miles and charge $7 for it, while Napa County can't ship it 300 miles for less than $30. Remember when we used to think California wine was SO superb, because of climate, soil, etc.? Well, they produce wine in Washington now and in Baja California . . . and I would pit a good $15 bottle of Malbec from Argentina against anything in Napa, Sonoma or Mendocino . . . and I'm California. For the record, there is no wine, drinkable that is, produced on the east coast.
What I found, when I was in NYC last summer, was it is DIFFICULT to find good wine even in a wine shop! Here in California, fairly good wine is available everywhere: yes, even in a drug store. Certainly in a supermarket. And definitely in a wine shop.
Regarding accessibility - we have wider spaces here not because people are overweight but because we have a LAW which requires at least 36” door frames and hallways that require a wheelchair to get through comfortably. It’s called the American with Disabilities Act.
That’s REALLY unfortunate! As Americans, we’re always taught to do a quick review of the tip-culture in a country we’re visiting yet, somehow, that courtesy is often not returned to Americans when they’re visiting us. There ARE some exceptions, but often I’m sadly, NOT surprised?😏
I love them explaining how rude the people at the no tip cafe are, without realizing what it is that causes the tipped employees to not be rude. Hilarious.
Of course they know. They are well travelled people. Everyone knows. You will even experience rudeness in a restaurant where tips are normal. It's a cultural thing.
@@SlowLane-pv3nf You missed the point. They start off by saying they prefer the no tipping, then go on to complain that people are rude at the no tipping place.
I don't think the rudeness stems from a lack of tipping because tipping is not customary in Europe. Servers are paid a livable wage and not dependent on it as part of their salary like they are in the USA. You would only tip if service was exceptional in Europe. This was our experience when there and also what our friends and coworkers throughout Europe confirmed.
@@vickicerruti Thank you for agreeing with me, despite your attempts at protest. To recap, the video said tipping is not customary and the help is rude. Where we are, tipping is customary and the help is delightful. Just when I thought you could not accidentally make my point better, you add in the actual pay. In the US, when they abandon tipping to try your "livable wage" it adds up to WAY less money, the staff quits, and they have to hire new people as they decide to go back to tipping. People who work on tips in America do quite well. But to be fair, the American people are the most generous in the world. Maybe pay structures that rely on the decency of the average person, don't work in lesser nations, such as yours.

You'd be surprised, different areas make barbecue differently. And there are different tastes to it. Sometimes, depending on where you live here, there are bbq contests, just like chili cook offs. Love this.
I'm from Georgia and I absolutely love BBQ pulled pork, but I recently visited Texas and I also fell in love with brisket! You can't go wrong with good slow cooked beef brisket! I'd have to say I love them both equally though. :-)
Drink refills - this is what Is known as bottomless cups. My uncle who is from England, was asked by a waitress, “would you like a refill on your coffee”? He said yes please. I told him, “you pay to breath in England”!
Hey Joel & Lia! I have been working for CVS for three years now. I always recommend customers to sign up for digital receipts and to download the CVS app to clip the coupons onto their loyalty card so that those coupons won’t print avoiding the whole long receipt fiasco. You could also opt to receive both physical and digital receipts where a physical receipt will print without any coupons and a digital receipt with coupons is emailed as well. Another trick is that if the item or items you are purchasing aren’t on sale for that week you don’t need to present your loyalty card and the register will only print a regular receipt with no coupons. P.S. We love your tangents so don’t worry! Can’t wait for this year’s content!
The only problem with the CVS/Pharmacy app is that it's, more often than not, hit-or-miss (most often the latter) when trying to log in to it. I can count, on one hand, the number of times I was successfully able to log in during the two years I had the app.
Good points on the waiter/service tipping thing. I was a server and bartender for years in New York (I'm American) and being rude in a restaurant, whether as a server or a guest, is incredibly offensive on a pretty deep level to me. When I'm on a date with a girl I am always checking out how she treats the staff. As a server it was super important to me to be nice even when the guest isn't. On the other hand, the stereotype of Brits and continental Europeans not tipping is a real thing, it makes you less motivated to bust your ass for them because I've had soooo many tables where a nice Spanish family or whatever will chat you up and ask loads of questions and be pretty nice only to leave you $1.00 on a $50.00 bill. That said, I've also had lovely people from France, England, South America, Spain and all over specifically ask me how to calculate the tip to make sure they did it right. Those tables are really fun because they are chatty and nice and have also shown a real effort to get to know our system. We totally get that most of the world doesn't do the tipping thing like we do and it's really lovely when someone takes the time to learn about it. That can sometimes be worth more than the actual tip. I've had like a French business woman come in and get a sandwich for $10 and then leave two bucks after asking me how to do it which is amazing, especially since that $2 isn't gonna make or break my day either way, it's more the thought.
I am from Texas and a few years ago, I traveled to London, Switzerland, and Italy in one go. At the time, I was ignorantly offended at how I was sat for dinner and never saw the waiter/waitress again unless I literally and shamefully waved my hands and at times, had to get up to ask for something. I absolutely get it now that it was simply a culture thing and not bc every waiter/waitress hated Americans (though I suspect maybe 1 or 2 actually may have). Another major major, MAJOR offense at the time, particularly Italy, was that upon paying for my items and signing the credit card receipt, there was no "thank you" or closed greeting and I often found myself standing and waiting in cricket silence. It wasn't a conceited expectation on my part, but more so a question if there was something else needed from me (being a foreigner and all). I signed, waited, and had a 3 second stare-off with the cashier that telepathically informed me that yep, the transaction was complete. Again, a matter of different cultures and yet I still find myself biased and warped within my own culture thinking, "how can any human being not know how to simply say 'thank you'?" Should it not be instinctive? Anyway, it was my first time outside my bubble and for the next two visits, I was much more amenable and forgivable. Deep down, I still can't wrap my head around the inability for simple politeness. Anyway, I am glad you mention these differences bc I never would have known otherwise. Do repeat as often as possible. And btw: When I reached London, the atmosphere was much more friendly if not neutral and I genuinely felt more comfortable and accepted.
I don’t think it’s ignorant to expect people to actually do their jobs, we’re expected to pay the check when it comes. And as I tell the children in my family, courtesy is free use it.
TheBullyMomma Are you referring to restaurant staff? The point is they were doing their jobs- exactly how we like it in Europe. Staff come when summoned, we hate it when we are interrupted. It's not poor service, it's different service.
Spencer Wilton, No it’s lack of service when you have to chase a server down and ask for your drinks only to be told I’ll get to it, or my favorite was food that had obviously been sitting in the kitchen because the server was to busy bullshitting to do his job. Joel and Lia may think rude servers are entertaining but in the U.S. they would be unemployed, if that’s what you like you’ve obviously never had good service. A good server is attentive without being obnoxious, if you tell your server you will let them know when you need them they leave you alone until summoned otherwise they periodically check to make sure the customer doesn’t need anything, that is good service.
@@TheBullyMomma I know... I would have my grandmother's voice in my ear. Girl you better act like you have some raising and say please or thank you or your welcome or sir or ma'am. I would end up with a nervous tick.
Back when I was waitressing International customers were known for not tipping. We would take care of the table, but would put more effort on tables thought to tip better.
If restaurant staff are rude in that way, in the US; you can pretty much guarantee that your food has been diseased. Seriously...they did something vile to it.
Costco membership in the US doesn't require business ownership. We hate CVS for this as well. The BBQ you mention isn't the same as many refer to as BBQ. The BBQ you mention refers to cooking meat (typically in a smoker or on the grill) with a particular spice mix called a rub, or a particular style of sauce. Most people call grilling burgers and hot dogs as BBQ but isn't the same. Cafe sounds like a diner. I think train and transport refers to cargo. Generally moving people would say transportation. Refills are generally for fountain drinks only, not for canned and bottled drinks. (You can ask most places for easy ice.)
I love my free coffee refills here in the states and really miss them when traveling overseas :) Your public transportation is way better but your gas has always always been super expensive.
The great thing about American Passenger Trains is the cross country routes, like New York to California, Florida to Oregon, Any route up the west coast to Alaska... Any route going thru the Rocky Mts...So, I would say that makes us even.🙂🙂🙂

Beer is served between 36-39 degrees Fahrenheit here. 3-5 Celsius for us in Britain. And of course we use ice. Not to the levels that the US do naturally but it's always been there.
@@scribeofstorms the point I'm trying to make is this "warm beer" thing is such garbage. It gets bandied about so often and it's a myth. I often hear it's served at room temperature well if you like sitting in a room that has an average temperature of 37 degrees Fahrenheit then yes I guess it is. However all lagers and bitters are as stated 36-39 F and bottles are refrigerated pretty much from point of delivery. What you guys should say is that " in comparison to the sub arctic temperatures that we serve our beers at the beer in other countries isn't as cold." . Another myth is this "no ice" notion. I'm 50 years old and for as long as I can remember I've always had ice in drinks. It's always offered as opposed to being assumed that the customer wants it. Again we may not serve a whole cup/glass of ice as I'm led to believe that you do in the US but we do serve it and it's annoying to keep seeing this perpetuated constantly. Of course I appreciate some of the extreme climates you have across the states which clouds and shapes most Americans opinions on these. All I'm asking is that the comments are written better rather than just rehashing some uninformed stereotypes. On the same subject while refills are not widespread across Britain they do exist in some chain restaurants and have done for years.
I moved to the U.S. when I was 18, everything here is oversized, loads of season and just so bloody delicious I gain 25 pounds my first week lol. When I go back to Ireland to visit the family loves it because I cook. 😉😎
Free refills really are fantastic! I often get a sweet tea to go after I'm done eating a meal in a restaurant. I do it so much, that there is a waitress who knows I always want a sweet tea with lemon, to go, and she brings it without me asking! :) In response to your experience with a bad waitress: she probably was just a rude waitress and has no idea about the customs in the U.K. It is known, in the U.S., that no matter WHO you're waiting on, you give GREAT customer service, or you get little to no tip. It is absolutely a customer service crime, lol, if you are a bad server. I would not be able to handle a rude U.K. server. P.S. there is a restaurant somewhere in the U.S. that intentionally gives terrible service as entertainment---YOU GUYS WOULD PROBABLY LOVE IT. lol
When I was a waitress at a BBQ place, I had a guy who would change accents every time I talked to him like British, Australian, deep south, new york, it was crazy, but then he left a huge tip so it was fine.

I was a server for several years a long time ago. A well known “rule” in serving is never let their glass get empty. ALWAYS refill their beverages.
Unfortunately there's a lot of Americans who dont even know that grilling and bbq are separate things. Lol
Christopher Butler but “a bbq” is a party with any food served from a grill etc outside.
Apparently it's a regional thing. (from wikipedia, take it or leave it): "In American English usage, grilling refers to a fast process over high heat while barbecuing refers to a slow process using indirect heat or hot smoke... In British usage, barbecuing refers to a fast cooking process done directly over high heat, while grilling refers to cooking under a source of direct, moderate-to-high heat-known in the United States as broiling."
But like jonny said, it depends on the context as well. If I'm going to a "backyard barbecue", I would generally expect burgers. We also call a grill a "barbecue". But if someone wanted to "eat barbecue" I'd expect ribs and tri tip and the like.

Based on the date, 2 days after V day, it was probably on sale for dirt cheap!
Really.... yout pay $45 for a bottle of Bogle in NY. In CA, you can buy Bogle in some Walgreens and CVS for $10....
What I found, when I was in NYC last summer, was it is DIFFICULT to find good wine even in a wine shop! Here in California, fairly good wine is available everywhere: yes, even in a drug store. Certainly in a supermarket. And definitely in a wine shop.
As Joel wears the sweatshirt "big hype." Do we Americans want others to be jealous? No. I want peace, truly!

My friend works at a restaurant near an airport. I remember her saying that she does not expect a tip from foreigners in general.
Hilarious.

I couldn't stop laughing when y'all were talking about the rude waiters 🤣🤣
In the South Meat & 3 restaurants are friendly. If you’re not called “honey” or “hun” by the server you’re not I the right place.

Yes! Joe’s KC BBQ - You have to go to the one in the old gas station.

As an American who lives abroad, We have the worst transportation system on the planet 🌎
Back when I was waitressing International customers were known for not tipping. We would take care of the table, but would put more effort on tables thought to tip better.
If restaurant staff are rude in that way, in the US; you can pretty much guarantee that your food has been diseased. Seriously...they did something vile to it.
Oh dear! You are cruisin' for a bruisn' saying it's just 'meat and sauce.' :D
Congrats Rod, you're the first to comment! Nice job! 🥇🎉
The giant receipt we think that's crazy also. I've heard people refer to it as a free copy of war and peace or emergency toilet paper.
I love my free coffee refills here in the states and really miss them when traveling overseas :) Your public transportation is way better but your gas has always always been super expensive.
"Its just meat and sauce, how wrong could you get it?" Well it could be British 🤷♂️
I just ask for no ice in my soda. Problem solved. It's still cold.
Took me a minute to figure out when they said calf, they meant cafe.
How?
@@davidcosta2244 you dont skip over banal convo? I did, and over their explanation. Also, not a literal effing minute david.

The great thing about American Passenger Trains is the cross country routes, like New York to California, Florida to Oregon, Any route up the west coast to Alaska... Any route going thru the Rocky Mts...So, I would say that makes us even.🙂🙂🙂
In NYC we also call our diners “greasy spoons”!
In Kansas City too..
I think that may be a common terminology across the states.
@@FourSeasons04 when I lived in Kansas City, Missouri greasy spoons were hole in the wall restaurants with dank looks. A lot of folks thought it was cool eating at greasy spoons.
@@geraldjohnson4013 Yep, I grew up in the DC/Maryland area and many believed those places served the most flavorful/tasteful (but nowhere near healthy) food😋😄
That's an American expression too, heard everywhere!
With the drink refills, you can also ask for a to-go cup when you’re ready to leave.
We like things COLD, thus the ICE. In the UK beer and drinks are warm to hot and not refreshing at all
Guinness beer, which used to be served at room temp. (good)
is now, in US and Canada, served ice cold (bad).
Beer is served between 36-39 degrees Fahrenheit here. 3-5 Celsius for us in Britain. And of course we use ice. Not to the levels that the US do naturally but it's always been there.
@@MillsyLM Here in the UK or US? Cause that number means its either SUPER COLD or SUPER HOT
A lot of Americans feel we share part of your history too. Be cause of our ancestors. Part of my family came from Whales another from Mexico and France so therefore some of their history made me who I am.
@@tammyshawl546 I wouldn't exist as me in the US if not for WWII. My British Grandma came here in 1947, after time in the RAF, with $30 in her pocket to marry my Grandpa. Both of my Grandfathers were also in the war. I wouldn't genetically be me and an American. I'd be British and someone else. Creepy to think of that.
US diners for breakfast & pie...sometimes even both breakfast & pie in the same visit. 😋 YUM!!
One thing that one can't bulk buy anymore is ammo. Due to hoarding, and people freaking out, and millions of first-time gun owners, ammo shelves were bare, and what was on the shelf was enormously priced! Since then, supplies have returned on most NATO calibers. But prices are still outrageous, and most stores limit purchases to 2 boxes per day per customer. Everybody cry... 😭
I spent several weeks in England in 1992 and loved it. One thing I did missed though was ice. I couldn't figure out why I never got ice until I went to the mall food court and asked for a pepsi with ice and was told they didn't have ice, it was a waste of space and I got more without it😒 I'm ok with less, just give me ice🤣😂. I would love to go back sometime. Love your channel.
Tell them to fuck off, don't buy the drink.
When I was traveling in Europe a few years ago, the thing I missed the most was ICE! It was almost depressing living a couple weeks without it. 😂🤣🤪 And, yes, I know...spoiled. 😂
I feel you. I can't drink a cold beverage without ice. I want a "cold" drink, not luke warm...
I always ask for extra ice because I want my soda extra cold.
Did you know that you could ASK the waiter/waitress for less, or no, ice in your drink? They really don't care and would be happy to provide it that way.
America is know for BBQ, long receipts, and cracks in the restroom doors. Great.
Warrior Lover that's the polite version! Mostly it's known for the ridiculous gun culture / shootings, morbid obesity and stupidity.
@@spencerwilton5831 Nah but those aren't true for the average American atleast to the extreme people say.
Is it because we have to much influence that our character is attacked idk. Maybe it's an inferiority thing🤷♂️
Spencer Wilton It’s called Freedom num-nuts. Something most people in this world will never experience. And the best thing for any American, they can choose to stay or go. I hear Cuba is nice this time of year comrade!
And for sinking German Warships menacing British Warships
I will say, there are many places that even though the employee's don't get tips or commission, they still are required to be polite and very friendly .
yeah I was at CVS a little while ago and they greeted me as I walked in. Somehow I only got a foot long receipt with no coupons on it. It's very strange.
You're right though polite friendly behavior is a requirement of most customer service jobs no matter the pay scale. If I walk into the Loves truck stop the entire place erupts into "welcome to Loves" as the employees see you. It's annoying at times but it's the american way.
Kids grew up & moved out of the house & I turned one of the bedrooms into a giant pantry to stock up on bulk quantity of everything; I LOVE COSTCO!! My husband often reminds me, "honey, it is just the two of us you know..." 😁
@@Judy_R too funny!! 😁
@Lucy! For sure!😉
@@Judy_R yep, definitely years! 😀
The great thing about grilling is that it can be done in the rain, because grills have a lid/cover which holds in the heat, thus making it cook so much faster and more thoroughly.
BBQ = Kansas City Missouri "Gates BBQ" and try "Rosedale's"
Facts
LC's BBQ
Woodyard is good too. Especially if you need some wood for your own smoker.
Correction. Other countries things that make Americans jealous.
There is no competition.
OMG! it's not just meat and sauce. That is BBQ SACRILEGE!!! LOL
When I go to CVS they email me my receipt.
Out BBQ is cooked at a low temp for a long time, it sounds like what you're talking bout in Britain is just grilling meat.
