@Cameron no. There’s some easy ones in after rust in peace. Chris Poland was the lead guitarist before Marty and he was fast and clean…. His solos where short but pretty good overall. Dave Mustaine also did some solos every now and then and some of his are very difficult as well.

Not all megadeth solos are difficult… depending on how much time you’ve had with the guitar, some may actually seem more easier as well

That bit at 0:20 is the most challenging to me. The weird descending lick transitions into a sliding arpeggio that breaks the speed pattern. How does one even think of coming up with something like this?

Real close man! You have a lot better "feel" than most I've seen... a lot of people don't know how to really shine, dig in with "english" it's hard to get all the bends and chirps like Marty does. The way he picks up and out away from the guitar makes the strings vibrate to and from the pick up. Sounds great though man! Keep rockin!

after buying the books, watching everyone on youtube and watching marty do it i've concluded that there are no correct tablatures for anything on rust in peace so i'm just sticking with yours.

I wish you would've explained the picking pattern at 0:15 since it seems like sweep picking mixed with regular. It sounds amazing.
Thanks León! Actually i tend to mix economy with alternate quite often, so it basically is sweep in some sections. Whenever i do pull offs on the last two notes on the E string, i sweep upwards. Hope it helped!
BUT CAN YOU PLAY SMOKE ON THE WATER?
Thanks for the great video man, I just wanted to add a slight modification to the end of the solo as I feel the way I do it below sounds the same but feels much easier and makes more sense (at least for me)

What gauge of strings are you using, they seem to bend almost effortlessly so i'm guessing 9 or 8?

How is the guitar? Cause I am looking for one like this to buy (esp). Is ltd also good, cause i dont know if it is worth paying more for an esp kh?
I really like this guitar, been playing it for 12 years now and it plays great! I don’t really know the specs for the ESP, it is probably lighter, mine is a neck-through, but the woods and hardware should be almost the same. I am really happy with mine 👌🏻

you’ll like the USA Jackson better than that awesome ESP guaranteed. But I give that guitar props for taking a thrashing. I own one as well also a Kirk Hammett model tried getting it as close to his as I could and I did great. The hours of Metallica thrashing I have on that old beast! Fun.
I also own a Kelly that I tried my best making like Friedmans I did great as well! Go to megadeth ax

isn't the solo more like 90 seconds? Great job, man, great tone and playing. Edit: oh, never mind, I learned that the rest of it is Dave's solo and it actually is dog shit, haha. Reminds me of Death, how Chuck would usually have his own solos on top of whoever happened to be his lead guitarist, but I have to say, from what I've heard Chuck is probably much better than Dave.
