Working on the new engine model as we speak! Hope to have it out soon :) Thanks for the feedback - we will look at the F3 issue.
Thank you for your feedback 👍🏼 Highly appreciated 😊
One question is that the inside side stick of the cockpit has a certain delay compared to my actual operation of the joystick, which is about 0.3 seconds. Can you optimize it?😊
The new engine model is also for the CFM one ?
@@Ch4rly972 No, IAE
I really liked the old wiper marks on the windshield and the wear textures! I haven't updated yet but seems like they are gone after the update from what it looks like in the yt videos. Is there still any way to have them? Thanks for all the hard work, excited for the upcoming updates.
Thanks a lot for the first impressions. It was helpful for deciding to wait some days before I update my actual FENIX.
Cheers
I’m excited for the final products (319/321/IAE)! This update has been a good one for me so far. I agree about your take on the controller sensitivity settings. It’s really different for everyone. When I upgraded from a CH Yoke to the Boeing TCA setup, it was a huge difference. The CH Yoke was almost too sensitive no matter how you tweaked it. The Thrustmaster actually has a good response setting and makes flying night and day.
Thank you very much. I am also very much lookiing forward to the IAE and A321.
Glad Im not the only one that thought the new display lighting actually seems unnaturally bright. And yes, felt engines were too quiet for my liking as well. I made some audio adjustments within the sim that helped some
Hi. I was mainly referring to the general cockpit lighting which I find unnaturally bright now.
I hope so for shaking Engines in the New Model :D
Haven’t seen many addons that simulate that
iirc pmdg does that for their 747@@Blackbox711
Looking forward to my update. I agree, the cockpit looks a bit bright to me now.
Especially noticable when it is very cloudy outside.
Thank you very much for your help in another great video!
Btw, what are your MSFS "turbulence" settings? Fenix team ask us to reduce do "LOW" in this V2 Bk1, but my flights became too much smooth that it feels unrealistic for me.... Should we reset to "REALISTIC" or stay lower?!
Tks! Happy landings ;-)
Hi, thank you very much. Indeed, go with low or medium turbulence settings. Happy Landings to you as well 👍🏼✈️
I believe the REACTIVITY parameter should be set at 100% if you want "pure linear" response. Setting it at 0% creates a considerable lag in the output of your controller deflections.
Correct, however I find that more pronounced in the PMDG 737 than in the FENIX.
I agree that the drag model is way off, especially on approach. Gear and full flap made no difference. Worse still for myself, i couldn't get the sircraft to use speed commanded mode? Autothrottle would ignore commanded speed delection. Managed speed from FMC was ok. Flight deck is inrealistically bright. Needs an update ?
Yep, definitely needs updating. I know they are working hard to get a hotfix out asap to address these issues.
I am not a pilot, but I have the feeling the that flight dynamics in Toliss airbusses are way better. Graphically and systemwise however, the Fenix wins, of course.
What systems from the Fenix do you think are missing in the Toliss-aircrafts?
That has mainly got to do with the fact that X-Plane has a much better native simulation regarding aerodynamic and environmental influences.
@@Blackbox711 very interesting to have the opinion of a real pilot, and it is a capital point that you point out... Do you think that Microsoft-Asobo should absolutely give priority to this area in order to have a best aerial simulation...?
@@denisremon4685 no, I don’t believe so. Microsoft is a company trying to maximize profits. So even if the Asobo/MSFS make a great job at convincing customers that MSFS2020 is the best and most realistic flight simulator out there, truth is that it is not. But like you wrote, how would someone who doesn’t fly real aircraft be able to judge? And of course you can ask the question if that is really necessary? In the end the customers that I would call “hardcore flightsimmers” are an absolute minority. Hence the absolute majority is very happy with MSFS2020 and creating nice profits for Microsoft.
@@Blackbox711 hank you for your very interesting answer and which goes in the direction that I could imagine... But for all that, what I have trouble understanding for all that, why a company such as Microsoft in terms of Flight is no longer at develop a much better native simulation concerning the aerodynamic and environmental influences in its product...I, who am just a simple enthusiast of Simulation and aeronautical immersion, without being in any way a specialist, experience much more sensations and of pleasure by its developers like A2A as well as fenix with in a way their own flight model and external engine on the sidelines of Flight... I who am a simple amateur so many others would certainly ask for this greater requirement in the immersion...Enjoy...Denis
Love how informative you are great video. What reshade do you use also love the look of your sim.
Hi. Thank you. I use NVidia Game Filter for shader adjustments.
Love it , performance gain is great and really looking forward to A321 expansion later this year . Next summer Jet2 or Condor A321 ops ♥ 🤣👌
The 321 is something I am definitely looking forward to as well.
If you compare thrustmaster warthog to the real sidestick of a320, which one feels harder/softer to deflect? Or maybe they are more or less equal?
The real Airbus Sidestick needs more force to be moved to maximum deflection compared to the Thrustmaster Warthog.
After updating my init request in the mcdu stopped working. Anyone else having this issue?
Not me
Am I the only one where the pedal disc button still disables rudder pedals (visually) instead of nws?
You should contact the FENIX developers on that issue.
As you're a real pilot, I must ask. How realistic is the sensitivity of pitch in this update, and generally how do you find the pitch sensitivity of any non-GA planes in MSFS? I'm not a pilot but would imagine the ToLiss or FSLabs is a bit closer to reality. I find all planes in MSFS are extremely pitch sensitive and lift up far too easily. So far MSFS only seems good for GA style VFR flying.
You are referring to one of the biggest issues with MSFS. The unrealistic inertia simulation which has been there all along. So yes, the sensitivity in the pitch, be it pilot or environmentally induced (up-/downdrafts) is overdone because of that flaw in the core of MSFS. Some developers have found a way to partially counteract that by an external flightmodel.
@@Blackbox711 Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
Inertia, or lackthereof, is exactly it although I couldn't find the word for it at the time. So far I have found the Comanche is one of the very few aircraft that counteract that, as well as having a trim wheel that feels more like I'd expect from my limited time in smaller aircraft in real life.
The Fenix A320 is a beautiful aircraft and it handles very well on my RealSimulator FSSB, but quite a lot of sensitivity and curvature is required on the axis, as you mention in the video.
@@Blackbox711well before v2 the Fenix wasn’t sensitive at all so they basically made it worse?
@@ColinM9991 yep, A2A Commanche has an external flight and engine model. Very nice addon indeed.
@@animatedchristmascollector3754 it has become more direct in the controls. But like I said in the video the real Aircraft reacts in a very direct manner as well.
So finally is NDP Charts are supported?
Nope. He probably had the same interpretation as I had. But according to feedback from users of the Fenix discord, the EFB still only supports Navigraph Charts
Like mscf2024 wrote, as far as I am aware only Navigraph Charts are supported atm.
What are your settings for your side stick? Please
They are in the video
@@Blackbox711 I saw that. Sorry, thanks for the response
@@Cloudybox12 no worries. But like I said, try different settings and see what feels best for you.
Anyone go against their advice and try the plane with the SU13 beta? I'm CTD a few seconds after the plane loads. Wondering if it's my setup or SU13 beta really doesn't work with the plane.
Heard several times that the FENIX update doesn’t work with SU13 Beta.
It's V 1.5.1.200 not V2
This is what it says on the official FENIX Blog: „V2 Block 1: Changelog and Deployment Time“
May I ask what airport you were landing at? Looked really nice!😊
Home city Bremen/EDDW
@@Blackbox711 do you use vanilla for eddw, or one of the two add-on sceneries?
It is a payware addon from FSDG
@@Blackbox711 Thank you!
Unfortunately I went from 60 FPS with .146 build to 45 FPS with v2. Kinda unflyable for me. Submited a ticket to Fenix support team.
That is unfortunate. Did you try some other settings in the FENIX app?
@@Blackbox711 Tried everything. Reinstalling, restarting the computer, displays on CPU and GPU, still worse than .146. I've been waiting for the update for so long just because of the performance fix and now it is even worse that before...
@@Blackbox711 WIndows is fresly installed, the sim is freshly reinstalled either, new fenix, there were no other fenix files in the community, and nope, bad performance. I don't know how it works. A lot of people say that their FPS is better now, but for me it's even worse. Unflyable. And the worst thing is that no one knows how to fix this problem. The reply I got from the support is "Restart your PC".
@@idkhowtoexplain hopefully the developers can help you on this issue!
@@idkhowtoexplain questions would be are you using DX12 or DX11? If DX11 have you activated GPU Hardware Acceleration?
Can we get a good tutorial on how to calibrate the throttles with the Saitek throttles? Love the increase n performance though.
I personally don’t have the Saitek Throttles, so unable to help you there.
