the XML files dont seem to work i cant open it with any software the browser just say "error on line 4 at column 3: Extra content at the end of the document"
Unfortunately I cannot test they work with every piece of software. The data that is in there can be easily manipulated to your liking. By far the best thing to do is just record in the hybrid mp4 format anyway :)
Thanks for the video! What would be the best workflow for Adobe Premiere users? I've tested the native chapters from OBS beta and nothing shows up on the editor... Thanks!
Chapter marking is not embedding in my video file in my mac mini m1 system. Pls help.
Could you show yourself importing the video into Premiere Pro, and see if the footage has markers on it? So far it doesn't do it for me. The footage I put into Adobe Premiere Pro isn't markered at all.
Hi Andi, somehow this plug in is no longer works. It was works one time, but then it just stops working. I have tried changing the shortcuts to simpler one, but no luck. The default OBS chapter marker is working.
Could you be more specific of what it not working properly? Could you also share your OBS logs as well as screenshots etc to my GitHub page please:

@@Andilippi Hi Andy, thanks for the reply. I got it work eventually. There was some weird bug that make the chapter name duplicated. Removed and recreate it fixed the issue.
@@Andilippi Filed a bug to gitHub when you switch between Scene Collections. This time, I am sure it's a bug 🤞
I'm currently using powerdirector 21 for editing. the chapter marker system doesn't appear to work with it... of course my software is a couple years old. Maybe they will add using chapter markers from mp4 hybrid uploads at some time. Or I just missed how to get it to work. LOL. I DO like the text files though. So it will still be useful to me. Even though it won't upload directly, the list gives me a headstart for knowing what to edit out. Thanks for all your hard work. You Rock!
I use the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro and *I also have no markers.* I downloaded the most recent version of OBS, the 30.2.2. Does it prevent the markers from appearing? I don't know.
Hi Andi, the Txt file does work, however, *I see no marker in the timeline* when I insert my video in Premiere Pro. Note I have the latest version of this software.
From my understanding Adobe Premiere Pro needs to add this feature in. I could be wrong however.

This unfortunately is not a me issue, I’m just using a feature for the import into video file that was introduced in OBS 30.2. Sadly it is adobes fault, please check out my reply to you on the OBS forums! Sorry for the inconvenience 🫶🏼

Can this also work with just streaming in general since I can't record otherwise my PC is cooked while live.
I love it so much and I'll be using the record setup for work but I want it to work for streaming on its own too since Twitch and RUclips have built-in clip makers. I just need timestamps of actions.
I DO know of the manual one that is currently available for Stream Decks but I am forgetful and it's a bit of a danger because I'm a Vtuber and having so many commands that trigger stuff for me to tab out can potentially make my PC more potato beef-

For the life of me, I cannot get these chapter markers to show up in Davinci. Do they not show up in the free version? The txt file works just fine, though, so at least I have that! But those markers just won't show up in Davinci.
They work with davinci! Make sure you use the hybrid mp4 option in OBS as that will bake the chapter markers directly into the video itself!

@@Andilippi just double checked, and the markers still don't appear in Davinci even though my format is set to MP4. Is there a certain encoder I'm supposed to be using?
@@susiegrace That function is amazing but I have the same problem, Hybrid MP4 + Insert in Video file are activated but no mark. Yet it is working without the plugin using the regular hotkey : Add mark (Hybrid MP4 only)...
The Insert Chapter Markers into Video file button is locked ? why ?
As stated in the video it is only for OBS 30.2. If you hover over anything the tooltip explains

Does this work on slobs?
Streamlabs doesn't support plugins. They backport the features from plugins they like into SLOBS. Pretty much they choose what they want in slobs. That’s why OBS is better cause you can customise to you liking
