My 11 year old sister saw this, she comes into the kitchen and asks 'Mum, have you ever brought something off Littlewoods' and my mum goes 'Yeah, a few things why' and she suddenly bursts out in tears going 'Santa's Not Real!" A whole generation of kids who took part in this, and watching this have just realised that Father Christmas does not exist. Thank You Littlewoods -.-
i was told growing up that my mum had to pay santa for my presents and thats why i didnt get the rediculously expensive things i wanted - she couldnt afford them. in short kids should believe in santa but also be aware of the actual cost of christmas! i love this ad!
i love this ad one of the best on tv at the mo, no cheesy xmas songs that you've heard a million times nor any refference to santa, i don't see how people are complaining about this ad and not the coca cola one that shows santa drinking coke (which is unheathy) confuses kids by stating (not actuly said) that santa doesn't have reindeer but trucks making children think why do i never see coke trucks when santa's got loads
I'm so pleased that so many other people see this for what it is. I've seen some stuff, but this makes me queasy. I'm using it with my primary school children so we can discuss morality in advertising and clumsy attempts to create more materialism.

I think it's really cute. I'm 15 and I see it differently to some people though because when I was little I had a sack from Santa at the end of my bed and all the family put presents under the tree for each other so I just see it as that. But I do get where people are coming from about santa puts presents under the tree for the majority of the children so they could've thought this advert through a bit better. But from my point of view I like it :)

Way to go Littlewoods ..... As if it isn`t hard enough keeping the magic alive with everything else going on in the world, you go and ruin it some more !!! Yes Moms do the hard work to make it special, but we don`t demand the recognition, as the reward for us is seeing the magic on our small childrens faces on christmas morning after 'Santa' has been !!!! So do the decent thing and stop the adverts ... or change the line "my lovely mother" to "Father Christmas" !!!!!

I would like to firsty say that i am a father. I have a 7 year old daughter and am finding it difficult enough to convince her that santa is real, due to kids at school spoiling the magic. I then watch this advert and was disgusted that 1, this advert is clearly blowing santa away. 2 As i am a father does this mean i count. 3 This is encouraging kids to be spoiled rotten. Last years littlewoods ad was very good, and my kids loved it. My daughter watched this years ad and questioned me bout santa

I think it's really cute. I'm 15 and I see it differently to some people though because when I was little I had a sack from Santa at the end of my bed and all the family put presents under the tree for each other so I just see it as that.
