I cried at this advert when it was on, and I’ve just watched it again for the first time in a long while, and I’m sat in bed crying my eyes out! The best John Lewis advert in my opinion!
I love this ad and the song is perfect for it. Edgar is brilliant in showing how over excited some of us get over Christmas. The ad is funny, especially with those dramatic pauses and it also made me cry. Well done John Lewis, best Christmas ad ever.

This was super super cute. At first,Poor Edgar felt unloved by all those who were around him,due to all the damage he caused,but then his other friend thought of a way of how he COULD be useful,then he shows how much he DOES care about everyone!!
I think this is possibly one of the most heart warming adverts I have seen in a while and in the end what it all comes down to is being with your family at Christmas no matter what,It's all about FAMILY well done ♥️

Yes... I missed Baby Oleg SO much when they got rid of him for ages. Glad to see him back with his little girl friend. I am still a child inside and awlays touched by cute stories.

This is the saddest advert I have seen in my life Edgar related to me a lot made my eyes cosplay as waterfalls the whole time John Lewis did incredible work in this
If only they extended the adverts a few seconds on where Edgar after burning the Christmas pudding there's a jump scene and he sitting amongst the dinners eating a plate full of Turkey,roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding sprouts and cranberries sauce.
I remember doing work on this back in 6th grade, i made an alternate ending for a joke where edgar slips while holding the cake and hits his head, he then bursts out fire, my friend made jokes about it saying edgar hit the ice hard and i was laughing so hard
