This Sunday FACEIT will be hosting their Road2QuakeCon tournament!Six of the European QuakeCon players have accepted an invite and will battle it out to warm up for what is to become the best QuakeCon in years!
Recent FACEIT Spring champion, Cypher and QuakeCon 2013 runner-up, evil, will be joined by strenx, dem0n and ins!
They will face off in a single elimination, best-of-five bracket, with the QuakeCon ruleset, to show off their form and hit the ground running for QuakeCon 2014!
Format:
Single elimination bracket, all played in best-of-five.
Mappool:
Aerowalk, Cure, Furious Heights, Lost World, Sinister, Campgrounds Intel, Toxicity
Map picking:
1. Winner of a coin-toss (Player 1) chooses the first map to be played in the set.
2. Loser of a coin-toss (Player 2) chooses the second map to be played in the set.
3. Player 1 chooses the third map to be played in the set.
4. Player 2 chooses the fourth map to be played in the set.
5. Player 1 chooses a map to drop from the map pool.
6. Player 2 chooses a map to drop from the map pool.
7. The remaining map will be used as a tie breaker in
the event of a tie.

in Germany we have a saying for the railing "accuracy" of (that day's) Evil: "Geht aus wie das Hornberger Schießen" - It ends like the shooting of Hornberg
//it almost seems like there was one of the infamous net-code "adjustments" right before that tournament, that shook up ones skill quite a bit - everything seems to be performed a bit hesistant and with low confidence
Cyphers accuracy is fucking insane, his movement isnt even good but his aim is insane

If they're playing over internet, there's a cheat players can use. A contestant can have a second computer next to them sign into the match under a different name, and set the view to show their opponent POV. Easy-peasy, and works 100 percent.

the announcers for these game comps suck... they are not calling a golf match.. its like they don't know when it calls for getting excited and when not... anywayz, its so cool to watch these guys play the way they do when I used to try so hard to move or navigate half as good as they do...lol its like damn man.. lol
what in the world are you talking about. ddk and zoot (these two comms) are the most experienced and professional commentators of quake3.
their game knowledge is deep, they're not annoying, they commentate on surroundings and drama's and gameplay with such ease and diplomatic humour that when I want to watch a VOD of q3 i search youtube only for their commentated games.

Hey douche, I don't care about their "knowledge of the game", I got knowledge of it too guy.. They don't get excited when they are talking, when exciting things happen a good commentator will try to match the ecxitement in his calling.. it's not just about mentioning correct things..
