Justins voice sounds really on point, amazing falsetto, the band sounds rocking and really tight, great job guys, this isn't usually my cup of tea,but they're an amazing live band, great job guys.
@@cheshirebowman4465 seen plenty, didn't say they were THE best live band but they are up there, they are fantastic live. The best band I have witnessed live is Queen, Knebworth 1986 so yes, I have seen some decent bands.
@@liveloud9894 HENDRIX, THE WHO, FREE, BAD COMPANY, IRON MAIDEN, STONES, JUDAS PRIEST, AC/DC, AIRBORNE, YES, FLEETWOOD MAC, RORY GALLAGHER, DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW, WHITE SNAKE, JETHRO TULL, NIGHT WISH. and many more. But I am 70 and still going to gigs.
Thanks for posting this, I missed the gig in Brighton cos of ankle surgery. For all of his fucking around they are one of the tightest bands you’ll see and JH must be one of the best front men EVER……..and bear in mind that I saw Queen on 7 tours!! (77-86)……..and Rock City IS one of the greatest venues in the country 😄
Bold, brash and much maligned in some circles, but nonetheless rivetingly entertaining with Permission to Land being undoubtedly one of the finest collections of nonsensically brilliant, piss taking rock and roll ever to grace the airwaves!! Brilliant.
Saw them Supporting Def Leppard at Wolverhampton early 00s. Loved this Album, i remember Justin Hawkins on Guitarist shoulders like AC/DC Very Entertaining
Brilliant! Btw, Justin told us we were the best audience in the country, in Leeds, and that is of course true - but Nottingham you were pretty good! I don't have evidence to back this up because Justin asked us all to put our phones away - and we did because we love and respect this fablous band! If you weren't there, well, where the hell were you??? Love you, Darkness !!
he brings it out for the odd song, but coming from someone who owns one myself, they weigh a lot!! so im sure hes glad to be not having so many back problems! haha
They may have been born in Chertsey but both Justin and Dan consider themselves from Lowestoft , Suffolk where The Darkness was formed Justin in particular has made several comments over the years about growing up in Lowestoft and nothing about Chertsey @@nickk6518
They were OK supporting GNR at Hyde Park, small places are more their thing, never been a big band, stick to what you're good at...small venue's & making a couple of thousand fans happy
The show opening was a clunky and awkward affair, lights on, off, music on, off. The show seemed to be interrupted with stoppage and chat a bit too often.
Thank you so much for sharing this!! The whole concert!!WoW!!👏❤️These guys are still SO AMAZING! Simply The Best!!! O~M~G!!! Justin!!👍🏼😍💓💓💓
How good do these guys sound live!!! No substitute for quality musicians and hard rock 🤘

Ladies and gentlemen, one of the finest live bands you will ever see.
I’ve seen them a couple of times and I have to agree they are superb live
You ain't seen many real bands then?

So nice to see a 'steady' filmed gig! Thanks :-)
Amazing light show really takes the whole experience up a notch or two.
I git my Thin Lizzy tshirt and I'm ready for the concert tomorrow, Thursday 11, in Valmontone Italy.😊

Seeing them this weekend in Melbourne can’t wait. 🎸 🥁
He cancelled in NZ, just wondering if he'll do aussie
@@angryangelant9519 they have already played two shows in Australia, tonight is Melbourne.
Thank for this mate😉
My pleasure 😊
Nice to hear Lizzy played before the gig, the boys are big Thin Lizzy fans....RIP Phil 38yrs gone.
This band is incredible!

Thanks. This was great!
I was at the Manchester show and we managed to start a mosh pit during I believe in a thing called love!
I was there! Was an awesome night!
Ive seen them live twice , they really are incredible live ☺️
F'n awesome
Please, Please, Please come to Toronto, Canada!!!!
Abba arrival.... fantastic choice of an intro to a fantastic live band as is The Darkness 😊
Saw them Supporting Def Leppard at Wolverhampton early 00s. Loved this Album, i remember Justin Hawkins on Guitarist shoulders like AC/DC Very Entertaining
Awasome rock band!
Love the ABBA tune. So atmospheric ❤
Where was it? What song?
🙏🏼🥰
PS am a devotee ofJ on you tube. Top notch show
The wonderful and magical The Darkness! One of a kind! One of my absolute favorite bands! They deliver an outstanding live show every single time!❤
Totally rocked the joint!
Awesome. Do you happen to have the encore (I Love You 5 Times + Love on the Rocks With No Ice)?
Sadly I don't my phone was almost dead
Was a great night
The final frontier in rock n roll.
Can’t wait till next February in Sydney
Me too! Changed my flights to travel to QLD so I could duck to Brisvegas in time to see them.
I hated this band when they came out back in 2003. I love them now and listen to their first album a lot in the car. Brilliant live band too.
One of the most under-rated bands ever...
ooooh i wonder if i have relatives there, i just traced art of my family back to the smiths who founded the bank of nottingham. yay the darkness ❤❤
I want to.see live
Haha how many artists interview the photographers 😂 awesome stuff.
i belive

whats Michael schenker doing in audience ?
Now Kiss have retired, this band should fill all those festival slots.
Looks like Justin has retired the white LP Custom for good!?🎸

Were you not scared of getting called out filming from Justin ?😅
Blows my mind how they don’t play arenas anymore
324 # ..😊
Um .... did Justin just do that? 36:45
Yeah he did. lol
Woking gave us Peter Gabriel, the Jam, Rick Parfitt and . . . Delia Smith. Chertsey gave us The Darkness. Surrey Rocks!!!!
I thought they came from Lowestoft , Suffolk !
@@christopherdavies3079 I was half right, I guess. I should have said Justin and Daniel Hawkins were born in Chertsey!

Let me guess, they're Irish right?
I think Frankie the bass player is, iirc. Thin Lizzy is a big early influence... (see Dan's t-shirt collection)

What are you on about, never been a big band? They were multiple nights in the same arena MASSIVE in the early 00s 😂

All that trouble...... for nothing.
