Since its release this in the early 2000's I don't think this unit has been updated, the look and the feel is Vintage. it even has the older Presonus logo printed on the unit, As a proud owner of lots of Presonus Gear, I think the Central Station Plus and the CSR-1 remote are due for an OVERHAUL.
I have actually already started having issues with the db meter on the front of the unit unfortunately. I'll be posting an update about that in the near future.
@@output4595 I ordered mine last week and should be on its way. Would it be ideal in a home studio setting? I like the fact it had USBs on it. I merely chose this over the Motu due to the infrequent updates on their drivers. I’m on a Windows 10
I've had 2 in the pass 15 years .. Your right they go bad like 5-7 years … I'm thinking 🤔 of not buying another one tho …. looking for something better now.... any tips or competition out there
Definitely do not buy another one. My recommendation would have to be what I am aiming to get next, the Antelope Satori. en.antelopeaudio.com/products/satori/
You'll be fine with the knobs. I've had mine for nearly a decade and they're still intact. Solidly built.
Sadly, my peek meter on the front of my unit has malfunctioned and is frozen. I am actively in correspondence with Presonus over the matter.
@@output4595 sorry to hear that but I’ve not had any issues on the metering with my own unit.
What do you use between the central station and your DAW? Do you use an audio interface or soundcard? Or do you have it plugged in by TOSLINK or AUX?
I use an antelope Orion 32 Plus. Its a pretty decent audio converter. Remember that it is not an audio converter, just a monitor controller.
@@output4595 Thank you for the answer! And damn, that's an expensive piece of gear! :P

I don’t blame you
Your Mio XL midi interface looks great. How's it working for you so far?
It is a really amazing piece of hardware. Very much worth investing in if your wanting a super powerful and expandable midi solution.

@@yeppy013 I think it does great in just about any setting and allows for maximum expandability.
@@output4595 I’ve been using for 3 months now and it’s a solid piece of gear with the nice display

Can you have 2 Inputs selected at the same time? Can you Run Speakers A B & C at the same time?
You can only select one input at a time. You can run A & C speakers at the same time or B&C. You cannot do any other combinations.
robust.
LOL. So true.
