Whats so funny to me about the Perfect Gundam is, true to its name, gameplay wise it's a much closer representation of how the original Gundam, 79-2 and all, is supposed to fight. It naturally uses its shield in ways that you'd think make sense, and it has both BR (which is as strong as it should be) and Bazooka, and it even has the original Gundam's iconic leaping slash (you know, what it uses to end its first Zaku II. Like I can't believe this thing has it, but grandpa doesn't its that iconic.) and its REALLY good. And everyone's having so much trouble with it. It's funny because it's like...how people would actually be reacting to the Gundam and how unfair good it is. It really shows how much the main character Gundams have generally been held back, especially gramps. But I guess they just gave up and made the proper Gundam with this and no one was ready. For what it's worth, I don't think its nearly as dangerous as it was on release these days, because like you said it can be brittle for a general, but it can still be a menace.
@@Kiyosuki Word on what buffs should be used on Grandpa is to set up the beam javelin as a 2nd melee weapon, but as a sub, to go along with either the regular beam saber or hyper hammer, Flight Control Program and Glide Structure (remember how well it fought on Earth during the first 20 episodes or so in the series) to provide better jump shots, secondary skills that start at lvl 2 and maybe even introduce a skill akin to the magnetic coating. Also giving a buff to its beam rifle would help along with decent stat boosts and more custom slots as it scales along its levels. Of course, I can't forget the downswing either.
@@Kiyosuki right right, though I guess that's the sad part. Both the 7th and perfect have things people have been asking for in the Gramps. Only to put them in newer suits and leave the older ones in power crept hell.
@@chaosgreyblood Probably, in my head it would be cool to have the option to have the normal beam saber and then choose the secondary melee between the javelin, hyper hammer or double beam sabers. Give it more bullet resistance since it's supposed to be one of the best against that canonically. The normal beam rifle should be more like the Alex's, while the napalm one should have the charge shot quicker, aswell as it's "Napalm" shots be damage over time (overall the normal beam rifle does more damage per shot but the napalm beam rifle can double stun them for more damage later on). Finally we have the learning computer, it is known that the RX 78 2 hadit by default so an ability to behave similarly to the mod part would be cool. Since the only thnig that gets substantially upgraded at higher levels is it's health. Making it live longer and, with that skill, making it more deadly the more it survives. In the end I doubt it'll happen, there are a bunch of suits that need buffs but it seems that they'll be concentrated in the newer suits in the gacha pulls. Thanks to their self imposed release schedule. I just stopped playing at that point. It was not worth it.
And because of that, RX-78 players were *pissed* that the absolute best RX-78 in the game is the Psyco-Zaku's frame with Gundam parts when Amuro's Gundam hadn't even been touched in two years at the time it released.

Perfect Gundam has the same design philosophy behind the GP02's shield right now. Has a super powerful shield that will block most instant stuns while having low durability overall. The difference is, the Perfect Gundam also has everything a general could possibly want and was just forced into that design by being nerfed. If they actually want the suit to stop being a problem without touching its kit, than make its durability the same level as the pale rider line. It'll still be way better off with that shield and actually possible to kill now.
I could understand that, but I don't want its defenses to be akin to wet kleenex paper. Stats could be nerfed, but not to that level, especially at 550 cost where the skill and stat climb really begins to be more apparent. It's what makes both versions of the Pale Rider difficult to make plays with them even on their native costs when other MS are more capable in tearing it to shreads.
@@chaosgreyblood I believe the idea with Pale Rider is that it’s low hp was to compensate for having access to hades which made it a lot stronger than the other suits at the time. Not to mention that activating it lowered its defense stats making it a low hp + low defense suit. The Kampfur is also a suit with horrible defenses and a strong offensive kit to offset it. Why should the perfect Gundam get special treatment with no trade-offs after ruining part of the game for so many months? I think they’ve had their fun and it’s time to reel it back to the standards other suits in the game are held to. Especially when its offense is way stronger than 90% of the suits at its cost. I can understand liking a suit and not wanting it to be nerfed, but this shit is not good for the health of the game.
you know i always forget this thing gets quick turn level 2, meanwhile gelgoog kyanos gets a level 1 and has barely any defensive skills, just offense system
Thank you for the video, awesome as always! The skill that ignores melee defense is just too much. Without that, based on the weapons/abilities it has and the mobility already makes it a killer. With that skill, one can put down the controller after the first stagger.
I'm glad that even the people who are way better than me, don't kill me like i see you do to these players. So far its just getting through the current flavors of the month then back at it.
But the caveat is that it only works that way if its the first melee strike, not as a immediate follow up attack. Like being able to catch someone by surprise or tagging along to teabag an opponent after one of your teammates takes it down.
That 1st game perfectly exemplifies PG, excellent loadout for range lockdown while still having double melee and thats all before the shenanigan with shield boosting...
Because if u team not initiate attack then that the social team problem. 1) YA TB RX78 got advantage at push (That why team need at least 2 general which can peek and push, and attract enemy at frontline) Those team dont know how to initiate attack , or attract enemy to push and stagger / stun when enemy run into "opening". Then the problem is more huge, it about the game always nascar 1 minute or more, rather than improving, or trust teammate for a steady team formation
My problem with pg rn is that they rly decided to give its leg so much damage, I could get the switch time nerf to prevent some stun lock, but they didn't need to shit on its legs like that man
i love how you use Krauser theme for OP suits such as Norn and PGTB, so can i expect you gonna use Krauser's theme everytime you make a review for OP suit?
Did it get nerfed again in PC or something recently? Feels like the switch to rocket takes even longer now preventing the chained stun with rocket. Maybe I'm overthinking it though.
Going off of your title I dunno if this suit needs a nerf anymore. If anything at this point, a lot of the suits that already exist at its cost need buffing/overhauling. When your PG has all of its kit available while your Alex for example at the same cost can't have its Bazooka and BR in the same manner there's kind of a problem. It's similar with the Fafnir and ZZ (kinda). The Fafnir is one of several prototypes to the ZZ, but it's performing better than the actual suit that comes after all of those protos. At the same cost too.
The only nerf it needs are changing the shield holding animation, so it put its shield to the side....or remove it or all EFF suits do the same stance as PG altogether.
My biggest gripe is that this Zeonic suit does everything that the regular Gundam does, but somehow slapping the parts of another into it (panels and armor afaik) somehow makes it do all of that? Honestly, at PC they shouldnt of added it as it has no real counter and the skill gap is much lower.
No it doesn't need a nerf it's as good enough right now you can tell it's not as great since the HP but yes it has power Accelerater lvl 2 but to most raids is what most people use it doesn't matter yea it's good but doesn't need a nerf anytime soon
