It was heartbreaking to see the little guy had no one to visit or care for him, other than the nurses and staff. Being loved is so important. I really hope you consider doing it.
If I weren't disabled this would be something I'd love to do. I used to be a caregiver to elderly and palliative care patients in their homes, the best job ever! Since a failed surgery to fix tennis elbow I had to give up that job because I couldn't do transfers and lifts safely any longer. 11 years later I'll still drop something heavy if I lift it up in my right hand and now with rheumatoid arthritis I wouldn't even trust myself holding a wee infant 😭 David rocks!

Fun fact: studies have shown that babies without love, affection and even being held grow up with mental, emotional, and physical problems! Some of the babies during these studies even died!!! This was done in the 40s.
I think these studies were done in over crowed orphanages to bring awareness that more should adopt and volunteer. Babies, were left in cribs for very long periods of time in understaffed orphanages. Hence me ignoring those that use to tell me I should let my babies cry it out more. I did not. They are super independent now and know they can come to me for anything. Not hating on those who made the cry it out method work. I just think it's beneficial to hold babies as much as possible. ❤
Babies don't have mental health. They're babies. They can't and don't have any emotional capacity, no understanding of anything around them or understanding of their own existence. That's not to say they don't have primal needs, but you can't call it mental health.

Most of your immune system is in your gut, where it signals to your brain and your brain to it, your gut health has A LOT to do with your psychological health. Who are you anyway? I am sure you would have been on the same bandwagon as all the doctors who believed babies felt no pain and would perform surgery without any pain management...
I’m only 16, but I’ve been diagnosed with depression and anxiety and am struggling to find medications that help, but I work with children ages 2 months to 5 years and it’s one of the few things that truly bring me joy. When I’m in my lowest moments I just think about all the kids I work with and the joy I get from holding them. I think this guy is the same way.

How old do you have to be to do this? At the legal working age? Because I’m 14 and I want to make at least one person happy every day, so doing something like this seems perfect (since giving flowers to strangers is scary, tried it once though, it was worth it, the person I gave it to looked so happy). I hope other people get inspired by my actions and do nice things too, the world could use some more kindness.

This video means so much to me - I was born 3 months early and had to stay in hospital for another 3 months after I was born. The staff at the hospital were amazing... It's thanks to them that I'm alive and healthy today.
