Can't take the credit. I bought like that with intentions to use a are air system but that fact that it works and has worked the past couple years I'm not going to change a thing and might use it in other builds lol
Badass jeep... I'm gonna be looking for a yj this summer.. I got a dana 60, 14 bolt and sm465 np205 combo sitting in a 1 ton, waiting for me to buy a jeep lol
That's gonna be a bad ass set up man. I thought about 1 tons but I honestly dont need them lol. This thing has more potential then what I probably need to be honest.
Honestly its probably not the best idea to go with 1 tons only cause it adds alot of unsprung weight but I have them so oh well.. My plan is to buy a road worthy yj and drive it till something gives out , like the engine, tranny or an axle.. then I'll get to swapping in my 1 ton drivetrain with a 5.3
Love this setup! Doing the same axles on my rig. Is there any insight you can give me on your transmission? Never heard of using a 6 speed. Does that negatively affect off-road performance? How’s the road manners with that beast?? TIA
Actively looking for a YJ. Yours is beautiful. I'm worry to run 35's with lockers on the stock axels. Any advice on what to upgrade to? Not building to rock crawl. mainly dirt roads, mud, and snow. I'm hoping to get away with some Chromoly axel shafts.
Thanks man! You're front dana 30 should be fine with the chromoly, however the dana 35 isnt even worth putting money into. I'd look for a Ford 8.8 out of a Ford explorer like mine has, much better axle!
@@northernjeep942 good to know. I have a 3/4 to suburban with the 454 and it has a 14 bolt rear end that I threw a locker into and regeared everything to 4.88. It's awesome and I love it, but I think I'm ready for a jeep haha.
@@northernjeep942 very nice. I have a 99 k2500 suburban with the 454. I threw I Detroit locker in the 14 bolt and regeared front and rear to 4.88. 2" lift and 33" mickeys. I love it. I've always loved those classics.
Not sure on total lift but somewhere around 5-6. The rims are American racing, can't do a reliable mpg as my gas gauge doesn't work but it doesn't do great lol.
I am looking for a budget (cheap) way to run my rear ARB locker without spending 100s on a arb air compressor. It it is already plumed in the diff... I don't think your system for the the front would work in the rear? any suggestions for a cheap alt way would be great.
she's gorgeous
Unfortunately got rid of this one to supply my TJ build.
nice setup the hand pump for the locker is genius :)
door down in winter on this beautiful jeep is like snow mobiling
Very nice yj. I have a 2003 tj that's yellow. I'd take that hand pump locker over my open diffs any day. Thanks for the video
It definitely gets some odd looks on the trails from others lol
Good looking build.
🤣 can’t believe it!!! Some heroes wear capes , others air up lockers with a hand pump!!

YJ Jeeps are starting to shoot up in value! Good news!
And to think they were so hated

👍🇺🇸
Man I like that Jeep
Unfortunately I don't have this one anymore. Wish I would've never got rid of it.
Bro that squeeze bulb trick is bad af dead simple and reliable has a hammer
It gets some people scratching their heads thats for sure lol
Decent
Thanks. Got rid of this YJ and got a TJ

The six speed does well on and off road! The sixth gear helps a ton on the highway and the only time I use 4 low is when I really want to crawl.
How many inch of lift do you have on it?
Nice Jeep btw
Right on nice YJ
Thanks man. Work in progress
Need a wench my friend. Jeep looks great!
Has a warn m8000 on it now since I got it working

WRANGLER YJ 1991 YEARS 4.0 ENGINE PCM 56026982 NOT WORK NEED NEW NUBER PART FOR NEW PCM THANKS FROM BOSNIA
How much power did you lose putting those big tires on I can't even pass anybody on the highway
I don't own this jeep anymore but with the 4.10s it wasn't to bad on the road. No power house but very manageable.
nice
Thanks!
Does it come with doors?
not sure if you’re still responding to questions but what size lift and what rims are those? also how does it do on gas with the 35s?

do you know what leaf springs its on?

Idk if a hand pump would have a enough pressure to push that much air that far. Could always give it a shot!
hows the ride quality on the road with the lifted leaf suspension? is it bouncy and rough?
It doesn't ride to bad. Its not like riding on coils but for leafs and being lifed on 35s it does good.
Are 93’s carbureted ?
No. After 91 the 4.0s went to throttle body
What kind of adapters are you running for the axles to run the same bolt pattern?
I can't remember the brand but it was 5×4.5 converted to 5×5
What rims and width are you running
American racing rims, I believe they're 8 wide, came with the jeep so not 100% sure
What size lift
About 5-6
BETER THAN A FCA CRAP JEEP I GOT A 1990 WITH 351 ON 35S
