The hot rod you couldn't read the name on & thought looked like a squished hurse 2.26 is in fact named 'Revenge' one of the most famous hot rods of the 1970s. I had a poster of it on my bedroom wall. It's been rebuilt to its original form.
it was originally black though wasn't it? The coolest thing about top tier British '70s customs is those Jag rear ends, so perfect on Ts and C Cabs where you really get to see them!
Yeah, I had a Marks and Spencers car book I got as a kid in the seventies and it had a picture of "Revenge" in it, found it fascinating, and its sill about 40 plus years later, think it was black rather than purple then. Still got the book as well.
@@G7ennx there's something amongst the cobwebs in my '70s brain about it being black. Yes T's & C cabs did look good with Jag rear ends, seems to be a few original 70's rods coming back to life as well.
The car at 3:09 that is like the car from the movie 'The Car', is based on a 1971 Lincoln Continental Mark III coupe, however, after running the number plate 'HGC 75J' it is coming up as a 1971 Ford mk3 beast, MOT history is coming back as faultless and mileage currently sits at around 15,000. Rather quite stunning in all its unique attributes with that demonic looking front end and most probably one of only a true handful of movie cars that are in this country.
WOW...... Revenge built by Nick Butler. The car he built after Andromeda. Top bloke, bought a lot of stuff from him in the 80's. All you need now is Pin Ball Wizard, which I heard was being rebuilt.
Some absolutely amazing cars, unfortunately i couldnt attend, BUT, i think people are getting fed up with Burnouts and possible donuts, it just dont do it any more. If you have a great car then no need to show off. One of our local events has banned the pop and bang, burn out and donut brigade, the owner of the venue told the to p*** off, and dont come back.. letrs just enjoy the cars without acting the ass.
I work as an organiser for this show and it's stuff like this that makes it difficult to hold the event each year, it's army ground so they get pretty pissed off with it. Unfortunately anything outside the gate we can't do anything about so it's a tough situation. It's a shame cause some of the cars doing stuff in this video will probably be banned which no-one wants
Very nice footage! Question for the Nissan 240 fans Back in 02 I had an 89 Nissan 240sx 5 speed with pop up headlights. Why do I never see those around? Every SX I see is slightly newer, and has a more rounded rear end. (This was in the US). Sadly it was very rusty, it had rust holes in the front of the rear fender that penetrated into the passenger compartment.
I think you're right mate . H/Ws did a cool C-cab as a dump truck ( I know ) called ' A Truck'n ' and I believe there was a more believable 'van' made too . Could've been Johnny Lightning that one ? edit . just remembered , there was a gorgeous full-fendered 'T' street-rod , based on John Tognotti's 1:1 scale version . It was one of the 'sweet 16' . I had them !
@@AdamC3046 Come on Adam , you're better than that . Most still keep the CAMARO script and name on the car I It still bugz me when I see someone on eboy describing their Camaro with it on the box ! Come on people . Wait , is that a R32 Skaline??
5:18 Haven’t seen one of those before 😃

I was going to post almost the same comment, right down to the bedroom wall bit!

That white R32 was clean as can be and not plastered with silly stickers and over modded bodywork.. Credit to its owner.
And no pathetic 'big-boy' testes ! Why , why do people put those on ?

Nice Hillman Hunter
And what a good white doggo he is!
Petition to open Shepard and Flock as a car pub? Like Caffeine and Machine. Maybe rename it Shocks & Springs or something a-like.
I thought that too, but there just aren't enough parking spaces for that.

Cobra isn’t entirely American.
It isn't entirely British
correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was a mix of both AC and Shelby to make the cobra
