  • Endre Hegedus played a recital April 11, 2011 in the National Concert Hall of the Palace of the Arts in Budapest, Hungary in memoriam Franz Liszt as part of the celebrations of the Bicentennial Year of Liszt's birth. This recording is a fragment of the performed programme: Liszt: Hungarian Rhapsody No. 15 "Rakoczi March"

    Hát ez az interpretáció mindent visz. Tudtam, hogy Hegedűs művész úr nagyon zseniális zongorista,de ez az előadás egyszerűen rendkívül ütős és pontos. Magam is hét éves koromban kezdtem el ezt a bűvöletes műfajt,de így még senkitől nem hallottam játszani ezt a darabot.

    Oh come on... First, Cziffra used to make lots of mistakes. Second, he doesn't make that many mistakes!! Seriously this piece is a monster, especially in a recital after lots of other demanding pieces. And I find his interpretation solid and very musical. Bravo, anyway!!

    To be honest, I've never heard a pro make so many mistakes in one performance. Other than that, it's incredible.
