      Try the Pacifica vegan ceramide cream or serum it's amazing fragrance free and if u live in the USA ware their is an Ulta it's only 12.50 with their 3.50 off coupon they have all the time and even if you don't it's only like 16$ super cheap and effective they are 2 of my favorite finds this year and I was really hesitant on how something so cheap could be so good and especially cause I have really had that much luck with the brand but those are amazing.

    For a sunscreen that repairs the moisture barrier,
    I LOVE the Kinship Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturizing Sunscreen! It's got aloe leaf juice to soothe irritation and redness, potent antioxidants like Licorice root and Turmeric, AND Lactobacillus Ferment which amazingly helps strengthen the microbiome/barrier, and an awesome humectant. Little to no cast, and gives your skin a radiant glow, love how it sits under makeup too. Also smells like vanilla, no sunscreen-y smell :-) its been my skin's holy grail product all

    When I'm going through tretinoin purge, ceramides help me a lot in calming my swelling skin.. Ceramides and colloidal oatmeal.. My fav sunscreen until now is the make p.rem sun fluid.. Its physical, but very lightweight leaving no white cast.. Easily glide so i dont hve to keep rubbing my skin like i did with most physical sunscreen.. I think i agree with u about how ceramide creams are usually too thick n doesn't feel nice on the skin.. I normally put a few drops of grapeseed oil in my moisturiser or apply the oil after moisturiser to get more dewy hydration

    I know that Niacinamide is a holy grail ingredient for many but my skin is sensitive to it and it is still considered an "active", I wish there were more barrier restoring product recommendations on your channel without Niacinamide in them. So far, I have found Aveeno's "Calm and Restore" line to be the best for me when I am cutting back on actives.

    • @JasminMiettunen
      @JasminMiettunen Год назад

      Have you tried niacinamide in low concentrations? It could be that it’s not your skin that is especially sensitive to it, dermatologists say over 5% can be irritating. There’s a lot of serums with around 10% of it, so there’s no wonder if something like that caused a reaction.

    I find both of the beauty of Joseon sunscreen and sun block used together is perfect - the sunscreen cream does not irritate at all and the sun block on top actually gets rid of pimples. I have tested using them separately and although the BOJ sun block always gets rid of redness and pimples, my face is sometimes a bit itchy. The combination works like a dream (and the sunscreen is too oily to use on its own and it brings out pimples). So impressed, particularly with their sun stick.

    Thanks for this video! Winter, my skin is extra sensitive and gets irritated more easily. Tamanu oil by Tosowoong is my goto when my skin is rebelling. There is a smell but since it soothes my skin, I have put up with the smell. My sister had no problems with the smell. Cheers!

    the colorescience tinted mineral spfs have been the only ones i’ve ever used to not burn or sting my incredibly sensitive skin. expensive, but i think it’s worth it when it comes to a daily spf. i haven’t tried their newer tints but they seem much more inclusive than before.

    Knockout by Tarte EVISCERATED my skin barrier 😭😭😭 I used it ONCE and now most of my mainstay products cause extreme redness and burning..... It's been two months.

    I think we have a similar skin type. Plus I have dermatographia. I use Re:cipe and Skin1004 Centella sunscreen. Never had issues with them.

    Im just starting to get over covid and I had to blow my nose every 20 minutes which is no joke when it comes to skin care. I used vaseline and kept my nose and upper lip moisturized with it throughout the duration. I never got any redness or soreness eventhough I was certainly abusing the area due to my sickness. If you need some REAL TOUGH and SERIOUS skincare for a sickness I cant recommend vaseline enough for the problem areas.

    hellooo. I honestly may have missed it if you've mentioned liking / not liking this product - but i just want to say.. as a person who has been struggling with dry and sometimes burning skin this winter, the elf holy hydration moisturizer with spf is..... so good? I continue to not believe that something so inexpensive feels so nice on the skin. I've not tried any SPFs this nice feeling and few moisturizers (including much more expensive brands). I just want to sing its praises for a second.. definitely worth a try!

    James, have you ever tried the REN overnight recovery balm? I’ve been using it on and off but I’m not sure it restores the barrier as it claims. It does seem to moisturize well.

    A drug store in Germany (Rossmann) has its own very calming spf without perfume or alcohol. It is heavy but still doesn’t irritate. I love it especially in winter.

    Ive found the cerave sunscreen doesn’t burn when I apply it where I’m working on repairing my skin barrier. I have super sensitive skin and royally destroyed my skin barrier on my upper lip during quarantine and have been working to fix it ever since, and really I could not like the cerave sunscreen more (also their nighttime moisturizer 🤷🏽‍♀️)

    I have a bad habit of over exfoliating!😬 I don't mean to but sometimes I forget where I am in my weekly routine, and end up doing back to back exfoliating. When that happens, I swear by slugging! Pile on the niacinamide, ceramides and the vaseline and all will be well!😊
