- Welcome to a very chatty and informal quilty video. In this weeks chat I share what's been happening in my sewing room: I've finished a quilt, I've been buying some bargain fabric and have made some changes to my Etsy shop. It's a little bit scatty...but it's just a bit of friendly quilt fun...so if you can spare a few minutes...grab a nice drink and make yourself comfy and join me.

My Aunt literally planted rhubarb during the full moon. Out in the garden in the middle of the night. She insisted that was the only way.
😂I wouldn't disagree with her for one second...just enjoy those delicious rhubarb crumbles next year.👍

😂 I too am affected lunarwise! Its been a rollercoaster these last few days...no, I mean no sleep!
I've also taken delivery of a heavy parcel of really heavily discounted fabric - not all for quilting projects. Isn't it lovelly to hold them and dream over times to come! I know my colour choices are different to yours but I'm 100% certain you will create something so beautiful I will love the colours you've used. When you said you were going to do a red/white/blue my initial thought was oh no! Then you showed us the fabric. Why, of course, those fabrics are fantastic. Can't wait to see what you do!

Another delightful video! The joy of fabric - choosing it is the first joy. Second is bringing it home and looking at it/putting it away. And then third joy is using it!!

Thanks Diane. We had a cloudy sky where I live and couldn’t see the harvest moon, a bit disappointing. I’m always impressed by how unfazed you are to unpick and redo parts of your quilt. I know it can be done but I avoid doing unpicking like the plague😄. Truly stunning quilt❤️

Yes, you are a keeper. Love seeing your quilts and the thought process behind them. I find how you come up with designs very interesting to watch. I agree the section of the Aphrodite benefited from the change. It just needed some ‘sparkle’ in that spot.
Thank you Patricia...we all love a little 'sparkle' and a spot of unpicking never did me any harm. So glad I went with the design wall...made a huge difference.

My best friend Dianne passed away on Thursday..... and the heart quilt was such a lovely quilt to remind me of her.

@dianedavis5958 thank you Diane. Phil & I are devastated at the moment. I was making a friendship braid quilt for her. None of us expected her to go so quickly..... she was given the all clear over the Summer but went downhill so quickly 😪 when I pick the quilt up again and finish it, I will give it to her daughter 🤗

Hello Leila, yes the moon did seem to affect some of us...although I did spend quite a while gazing at it!!! I can't see a woman in the dragonfly...but there are a lot of patterns I'll add a close up picture of it to my community page tomorrow so you can get a closer look. Thank you for commenting. x

Do you have a fabric that you can't bear to cut because it's too pretty? I was going through my fabric and found a couple.
Yes Cathy...it sometimes happens...but then the fabric tells me its sad sitting in the dark cupboard and it dreams of being in a quilt! At that point I usually place it in the centre of a variable star so it can shine.😂😉❤
