Thanks for sharing this video. How long does the job take to change the oil filter housing ? Mechanic mentioned the issue is causing my coolant reservoir to drain. Could you please verify if this is 5 hour to 9 hour job? How much should this job cost if using OEM ? Also how would you ensure there is no misfiring of cylinders given it involves shifting and removing the housing manifold..

It will take about 8 hrs. If the seal is defective, coolant will leak. Use good quality seal because you don’t open this frequently. I used earling, it cost me about 5000 for the set. Change the complete set of seal. OEM seal would be around 10000. I changed my oil cooler also as it was rusted. Clean the intake manifold as well as intake port also. There is no chance of occurring misfiring. Don’t worry about that. Happy motoring.

Nice job. I have the same engine, I notice a small leak when I park overnight, the oil is dripping around the sump drain bolt area. I check but I can't seem to find where it is coming from, I am assuming it is coming from the top since it takes a while to drip on the floor. I am not loosing oil level. Could it be the oil filter housing gasket seeping a little. Based on your experience when the oil filter housing gasket is leaking where on the bottom it is dripping from

You will find oil leak on the left side of the engine below the oil filter housing. It will fall on the bottom plastic guard and will find its way towards the opening below the drain plug.
If your car is about 10 years old, then it is highly likely that the leak is from the oil filter housing.

For shaky oil filter, you can check tightness of the filter cap.

I don’t have the torque value. But I used 10 cm 1/4 ratchet handle.
