    Jon, I have a question in regards to the new SCRATCH CLEAR wax from Soft 99. I am highly interested in purchasing that particular wax. Should I polish that into the paint with a DA first? Then follow up with Fusso coat to lock in the shine? I am assuming that Scratch Clear version has some sort of fillers like a glaze? If I did the Fusso first, would the Scratch Clear then remove the Fusso because it has cleaning and polishing properties? I am just curious because I am going to purchase a can of that stuff as I normally wash/wax my vehicles rather than ceramic coat them. I have a Nissan 370Z which has pretty soft paint and is always getting micro marring in the finish, even though I try my darndest to mitigate any wash induced marring. Thanks for any information you can provide.

    The Fusso went on last week and KOG will go on top of it this week if the weather is better than last week when showers started as soon as the Fusso tin lid came off!
    It was the first time that I applied Fusso the larger panels using a CG Hex red pad having applied it by hand in the past; I then read the instructions and noticed that they recommend hand application, do you know why?

    Hi John, not criticising your dedication and hard work, but this seems to be marketing gone mad. It would be interesting to understand what it says on each product container regarding the specific ‘use case’ for the product. If a customer is faced with all these products on a web site page or retailers shelf, there has to be clear differentiation so the customer knows which one to choose. As to the gloss test - the gloss meter may be able to measure the differences, but could your eyes detect the differences? If not, was there much point in doing the test?

    I have a question that has been bugging me lately. I have fusso coat on my car. Lately, I have been using Optimum ONR to wash it. Rinseless wash is very nice for the inbetween two bucket washes. The question is whether ONR is degrading the quality of Fusso Coat protection? It certainly brings very nice gloss because of the polymers but is this combo good or bad in terms of paint protection and durability?

    Like the Fusso Dark (the original), the beading and durability are great but on my Ford’s Panther Black Metallic just have one issue no matter what I do, like a Ghosting or it changes how the metallic looks. Applied as thin as possible, wait a min or wait ten, damp applicator, apply a second coat and buff immediately. Wipe afterwards with a detail spray, nothing clears it unless polished again. Tend to go for spray sealants because of it. Didn’t get any issues on a dark grey metallic so will save it for when I change car

      @simontennant3095 Год назад

      My understanding of what your doing is, applying a coat, waiting briefly then applying another coat whilst the first coat is semi curing, therefore creating a dull layer between coats! Try applying your 1st coat, wait for it to haze then buff off, wait a minimum of 24hrs for it to fully cure, buff if needed for any bits that show then apply a 2nd coat. I have Spirit Blue paint work and it really pops doing it this way. You can also layer mirror shine instead of a 2nd coat of fusso for it to really ping.

      @CTR_1986 Год назад

      @@simontennant3095 sorry may have worded it badly. Applied first coated, waited to cure 10-15 mins. Buff off and left with these marks, ONR doesn’t remove them or a detailing spray, a “detailing world” suggestion was to apply a second coat and buff before pretty much right after. Nothing seems to stop it on this one car. It shows the outline if you apply in circles. May have to try straight or cross hatch (also paint is decontaminated, polished and IPA’d) cheers for advice tho

      @@CTR_1986I haven’t had that problem
      One thing I do know for sure is
      The thinner you put it on the better the whole process goes
      Thin
      Thinner
      Thinnest
      If you do this with a damp applicator it flashes very quickly
      I mean within a minute
      So I work small sections at a time
      Maybe 2’ X 2’
      I put it on wait maybe a minute
      Wipe it up thoroughly
      Then I take a clean microfiber cloth and buff it again
      I get no hazing
      I get no high spots
      And I do not get any excess wax drying leaving white residue
      Also wait 24 hours between coats or toppers
      It needs to gas out so all the solvents dissipate and makes a complete bond
      Also prep is key to any coating.

    I tried full blow ceramic for first time few months ago, blown away by its properties, repellency and self cleaning. compared to tac moon light even, totally different. I still don't want to put anything on top it's so powerful but just think the shine is a little dead compared to gloss I'm used to by freshly waxing or detailing spraying etc. I don't even want to put wet coat on it lol. think I'll try glossworkz wash and see how that goes, hope it does not mask either but at least it can be removed next time. damn you ceramincs complicating my life lol - tips welcome

      dont use glossworks on the coating mate. you will clog it up and mask its properties. use pure shampoos. top your coating with a water based ceramic spray from the coating provider.
