- Today I will be taking you on a crazy moto taxi ride in Bangkok, Thailand. We will be starting off near the Grand Palace in Bangkok and making our way to the Chatuchak weekend market area of the city. Moto taxi's are one of my favorite ways to get around Bangkok, Thailand but I'll e honest with you they are not the safest! In today's video you will get to experience that with me and I'm so excited to show you what Bangkok, Thailand looks like right now in 2022 from the back of a moto bike!

I just remembered my favorite trip in Bangkok was on the Chao Phraya River, rode on one of the boats they steer with the prop, not with a steering wheel....we traveled to the floating market, to a snake farm where they said they filmed parts of Rambo, saw the royal navy fleet (old boats) and just had an awesome times with some locals, I hope you have a safe trip!!!
Hello, I'm Thai and I just watched your video. and would like to advise you on the journey If you don't know the exact price of a taxi, both a car and a motorcycle. It is recommended that you use an app to call a taxi. You will get the fairest price legally. You just have to wait 5-10 minutes more. And you can choose to pay in cash.

I've been to Thailand 70 times over the last 27 years. I would NEVER go that distance on a motor-taxi! And with 2 people with no helmets, very dangerous. The BTS or Metro are very fast, safe, don't have traffic issues and are air conditioned and economical! A motor-taxi is great for 2 to 10 blocks, but my life, safety, and ability continue walking is worth more than that ride! As you love to say, "I won't tell you a lie!"
Chatuchak far from there and also busy traffic 300-500 that ok for two people no expensive 😎new experience for mototaxi but dangerous more 🇹🇭 take care

400thb it's reasonable price since the distance very far from phrachan pier to chatuchak park. But 3people on bike without helmet a bit crazy for me!!! I rather do short ride to subway near wat pho and go round blue line loop instead 😅😂😂😂 great content

It's illigal for 3 peoples on motobike but 300 not expensive, normally they don't go too far like this.

@@snowflakede9255 It was 200 baht/ each, so 400 total. It violates the traffic rules with 3 adults on one motorbike. It's acceptable for 2 adults and a kid, but not 3 grown ups. I think the Thai's polices were very tolerate in this circumstance, otherwise they would make some motorbike chase in Chris' video clip. Perhaps they saw the bike carry some tourists, so they were more tolerated because they wanted to leave a good impression on the tourists. The Vietnamese polices would definitely chase this bike or stop them for a hefty fine.

For me as a Thai is 300-500 is reasonable price for the long distance like that especially mortobike but too far and not save for you, we will use motorbike taxi in short distance but for this case I think you are near University next by Grand palace you should go by MRT subway train better choice to go to Chatu Chak is cheaper below 100 baht.

What's an adventure. I think 300 baht is not expensive for that distance, especially considering that there's a graduation ceremony at Thammasat University with a lot of people coming to participate, the motorbike taxi could easily get 50-100 baht for a short distance and be ready for the next round.

Hello, I'm Thai, you made an interesting clip, I would like to recommend you to go to Chanthaburi, if you want to see Thailand 30-40 years back Chanthaburi will be your answer, local food, lovely people, the old city by the water that has many hidden things. And of course, the beach and the view are quaint ,I really recommend and hope you can go see it with your own eyes

In fact, the law in Thailand, a motorbike can only sit 2 people, which is 1 driver and 1 passenger. They charge you high not because it's far from where you go. But if he is caught by the police, he will face a fine of at least 500 baht and a public driver's license may be confiscated. making him temporarily unable to do that job what you do is illegal If you are going with 2 people, it is better to take 2 motorcycles.😁😁🙏🙏

Crazy ahaha we went through a few checkpoints as you saw and even said hi to a few police officers ahahah, I've also noticed so many people driving with three people on a scooter all around the country.... pretty sure these rules only apply when they want to apply them

Is that 400 or 300 baht? Anyway, I considered it not as expensive since it's kind of a long way (From Thamasat to Chatuchak. I guess it's around 10 km)--- I'd say 200 baht each from my experience---And it's a fast traveling method. But beware, you have done 2 things illegal; not wearing a helmet and riding 3 persons. Fortunately, you don't get caught by the traffic officer :-D

Normally they can't accept the customer outside their area so he have to return to his area without customer. Because of that the price of motorbike taxi will be a little bit expensive (x2 oil and time)
Your destination was so far. Normally the mototaxi don't ride across the district, that's why they denied you or asked for a high price. Anyway it's reasonable price, but next time try only one passenger per each bike. Hope you enjoy. :)

It's not mandatory to tip when you take motorbike rides for the locals, but many do tip. And for people from overseas, they always tip.

Motorbike taxi normally they only service in their registered area but if crossing the town like you did it will be very expensive. Better take taxi.

Chatuchak is very far ,300 Bht it ‘s reasonable price , if u take Taxi meter , I think it will be about 200-300 Bht.The Taxi bike that you take , he had to go back at the start without passenger, I understand why they overcharged .In Thailand now .we usually call Taxi ,Bike Taxi via Application, GRAB , Lineman , you will find it more cheaper ;and accurate destination. i hope u enjoy travel in Thailand,
Central Bangkok to Chatucahk, 500 is not a rip off. It is a long way and they have to come back to their station. They are not supposed to pick anyone up out of their area. You are paying less than 20 dollars for a trip that takes them about an hour! You have to learn to pay what is deserved

Not sure why you started clip in that area at that the time. It’s a commencement day at Thammasat university and it’s so crowded with people. Lack of parking spaces in that area and motorcycles just wanted to make a quick money delivering people for a short ride from the University to the parking. They would be doing a short round back and forth. Nevertheless no one hire motorcycle for that long route to JJ.
You can take MRT to chatujak walk to Sanam Chai Station it faster, safer band cheaper 23 minutes 42 baht each

Great video, a bit worry about you safety ride 3 people without helmet was unsafe and also illegal. Next time 2 motorcycle and also using application like grab is much more safe and reasonable price. For the price,i think 300 per person is reasonable.

If you go 10 km, take a taxi. I think no more than 300 baht.

The palace on Sri Ayuthaya is the throne hall, with parliament behind it. It is the Dusit area. Next to it Raj. Uni with the in school Suan Dusit hotel. The sky scrapers you saw was the Baiyoke Tower.
At 26.10 you missed entirely the Pearl Building on PY Rd. Gladys watched it and kept looking like “what the heck is that???”
The driver did stop at the Buffalo Bridge , left at the corner one of the most famous pawn shops ( good if you know something about real Rolex watches)
I was intrigued how he would make the shitty turn right towards Chatuchak: great, he did a zigzag to cross the street.
I’m used to take mc taxis if there are traffic jams. Did once a very similar trip: Royal hotel ( you passed it at Sanam Luang corner) to Don Muang airport to catch my flight.
Thai people take them constantly for short rides to get in the side alleys. 10-20 b.
The blue helmet of the driver looks so compliant with safety standards…
