implemented this material with a person i work with this week. worked amazingly well. instead of thinking 'god why can't you understand this? even a toddler could do it' i used the principles brian/michael talked about - asking questions, TERA etc. had to use my mindfulness to stay calm too, but when the person worked their way to the solution it was SO rewarding and that person will go on to do more great things! you could almost see the new synapses forming!!! thanks brian and michael!
Thanks for this podcast. Advice monster. That is good. I call my Fears the Lack Monster. B.J. Fogg has a book out called Tiny Habits . I coach people who want to coach and ask them to read Bungay Stanier's The Coaching Habit, Tiny Habits by B.J. Fogg, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by you know who, and The Four Agreements.
I particularly like TERA n neuroscience of engagement at 20minutes. I realise that giving advice is a micro threat to the recipient. On the other hand a question is a shift to safety. As with a question the recipient is being valued as an authority

This kind of helps you understand how you as person learn also.
I really like your channel, I wish more people would invest in themselves by reading some simple books.
most valuable is teaching is downloading advice.and discovery is abt the question.
