- Need advice on how to navigate those rough audition room waters?
Tony nominees: David Hyde Pierce (Hello, Dolly!), Michelle Wilson (Sweat), Mary Beth Peil (Anastasia), Brandon Uranowitz (Falsettos), Mike Faist (Dear Evan Hansen), Lucas Steele (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), Jenn Colella (Come From Away), Denée Benton (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos), and John Douglas Thompson (August Wilson's Jitney) all recently sat down with Backstage to share some of their best advice! - Развлечения
My first audition:
I got there. I threw up in the car. I didn't audition. Boom.
Mary Beth Peil nailed it! Kind of. It's strange how the body and mind refuse to seize up when no pressure is applied. Under pressure we all are not as fluid. I've gotten every job I WANTED when I had one. When I've not had a job, I did not always get the job. It's strange but true. I hate to say though that not giving a shit whether or not you win or lose the job is freeing! Because of that freedom, that fluidity your chances of success are great! I say kind of because they're a lot more things that help too!
Me: *see Mike Faist* Yes, this is quality content, this is a good video.
im going to cry I love Brandon Uranowitz so much????
