That sounds like a wonderful experience! Tarland must have been a beautiful place to live. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed your time there before making the move to the USA. Thank you for sharing your story! 😊
A lovely village, quiet and by the looks of it community spirited. With the Tomnaverie stone circle close by I bet the village is busy in the summer months. Thank you for sharing . 🥰
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the video showcasing the charm of the village. It does tend to get busier during the summer months with visitors exploring the area's historical sites and natural beauty. Your appreciation means a lot, and I'm grateful for your support.
Those Saturday night dances sound like they were a fantastic time! It's wonderful to hear that people from all around, even as far as Strathdon, came to enjoy them. I'm glad my video could bring back such fond memories for you. Thanks for sharing this lovely piece of history!
Camped there in our Campervan, lovely site and Wardens. Commercial Hotel gives a good feed, homely cooking. Arrived there as a result of an encounter with a 40 foot artic lorry, but that’s another story. Good strolls in the surrounding area.
It sounds like you had quite the adventure in Tarland! Camping in a campervan must have been a wonderful experience, especially with such welcoming wardens. Thanks for sharing your Tarland experience, and I'm glad you enjoyed the strolls in the area.
Wow! This video is packed with cool history! 😮 I never knew Tarland had such a long and interesting past! I'm fascinated by the ancient settlements and the pottery finds. 🏺 I'd love to visit and see the Tarland Burn and the areas that used to be marshland. Do you have any other videos on local history? 👍
