Remember, house cats are extremely destructive on the local ecosystem too.

Too little too late. Nothing here that isn’t widely known. Hope no public money was wasted on this.

The worse invasive species in Florida as much of the planet is people - waaay too many people gobbling up the environment. “We have met the enemy and they is us” - Pogo

@marlinweekley51, most ... I'll be nice and say 'newcomers'. Fail to realize they are not in Kansas or Ohio or... anymore!
Florida is Unique, a Peninsula surrounded by salt water. Siting on porous layer of karst or honeycomb limestone. Partially supported by the pressure of the lesser density fresh water Floridan Aquifer System. literally keeping our State afloat in the dense salt water that surrounds it. The pressure keeping the salt water from intruding. And allowing the fragile limestone to crumble beneath.
And most of the water that flows southward in our aquifers underground river of life, all the way to our Everglades.
Comes all the way from the Okefenokee swamp. In southern Georgia.
A thousand a day, latest statistics. Added to our once Great State each person using 80 to 100 gal of water a day.
I thought that usage was high till I verified it. What was it you were saying marlinweekiey? About gobbling up the environment?

I tried finding what part of Florida that there are wild crab eating macaques, and evidently they have never been found in Florida, _in the wild._ But, there are some that are privately owned. These desk jockeyss need to leave people alone.

You've got your mother in a whirl,
She's not sure if you're a boy or a girl.
    Hey Babe your hair's alright,
Hey Babe let's go out tonight.
Rebel, Rebel, you've torn your dress,
Rebel, Rebel, your face is a mess.

Florida would still be a backwater swamp if it weren't for northerners developing it.
