Thank you so much for this video.
You’re welcome. I’ll be doing another update as it’s significant louder since this video but still not obnoxious.
Thats what I have only the last resignator was removed.Sounds the same only deeper.
Dude thank you for thinking to do this video
You are welcome
Hey, I’m new to learning about cars and exhausts so sorry if I sound dumb for asking this question. Why do you record every week? Does it change within time?
Carlos Galindo I wanted to see if it got louder over time. It definitely does. I recently added a 4” exhaust tip and that made a huge difference.
The V8 Hooligan it sounds badass man thanks for the input 🙏🏽
Carlos Galindo Thanks!
@@TheV8Hooligan quiter?
Louder but still tame. I chopped off the resonator and that makes a big difference.
I’ve ran magnaflows my whole life but always without resonator. Been thinking of putting a 14” on my 18 with resonator in tact.. not too loud inside cabin is it ? I’d like to be on highway not hearing it
Hey man. Keeping the resonator will be your best bet if you want it not too loud but enough to hear a growl inside and on hard acceleration. Otherwise in the cabin you don’t hear it much. Outside it sounds NICE.
@@TheV8Hooligan so i got mine installed today with the resonator in place! Just wondering could you tell if yours got louder over time? Can't really tell too much from the vid from week 1 to week 4
Therminex in person is how I can tell. I can hear it in the cabin more (more growl no drone) and when I start it from inside the house I can hear it easily now.
I was disappointed tbh but it does get better. Longer heat cycles speeds things up too. I did a long haul trip during week three and that made it noticeably louder.
I ran resonator and replaced the muffler with MF on my Charger. Adds nice little rumble but still good for family rides. I’m sure it’s the same here.
Do you have an instagram that I can contact you through? Have a couple questions. Thank you.
Same as my RUclips name. V8 Hooligan.
Did you only get a muffler or the whole pipes done
Just the muffler
Pro tip : you can watch movies at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.
@Brian Uriah yea, I've been using flixzone for since november myself =)
Are some of these weeks warm starts? It sounded extremely muffled on week 2 then back to loud week 3.
They were cold starts. I think the difference was facing the tent garage thing we had, and one was facing the open air.
Another exhaust video with only a cold start. Better to give it some revs so we can hear the rpm exhaust notes...
My other videos do 👍🏽
Week 2 and week 4 were not cold starts, where week 1 and 3 were
Or so it sounds
Must be the iPhone mic. They were all cold starts.
Can u please tell me the model number. I want to put on on my 06 Yukon.
This one is 12229
Thank u👍
You’re welcome
How's the cabin noise ?
At the beginning of the burn in period it was minimal. Low growl (v4 and V8). Now a few more months later and it’s awesome in V8. In V4 it sounds like a 4 cylinder bogging down. V8 it sounds mean but not obnoxious like I wanted but it’s a great set up if you have a family.
@@TheV8Hooligan Thanks for the quick reply. I just ordered mine and I was hoping it wasn't obnoxious. Yours sounds great by the way 👍
M3X1C4N0 No problem bro. If you have AFM I suggest running in manual 5 mode to deactivate afm. I think you’ll like it.
They all sound exactly the same
It’s hard to tell from the recording but it gets slightly louder over a couple months
Flowmasters sound so much better on Chevys
Yes
And flow master sound like 💩 on any hemi engine
On my jeep 4.7 V8 a flowmaster sounds hollow
But a 14 inch glasspack sounds so deel
Flowmaster < Magnaflow though.
Driven both on the same 5.7 Hemi and like….. there’s a 200% increase enjoyment in magnaflow
