Judging by the comments I think Fiji seems to be the more popular. Perhaps it conjours up a specific image of tropical paradise? Boy, what I'd do to be there right now...
With Fiji I´m near complete from the beginning up to the 1960s. It is a very nice island to collect. St. Vincent I do not have a lot, but it is also a nice country. I can´t remember that I saw many covers from there, especially old ones. May be the same as Samoa you showed some time ago, there are not many existing as well.
Hi Oliver. I've often wondered if the 19th Century being dominated by just one basic design has perhaps put some collectors off? Personally hunting down those different colours, watermarks and perf gauges is right up my street but most Commonwealth areas didn't do it that way. Before you ask, no, I've never collected St Vincent myself! Regards, Vincent.
Lovely stamps. Straight-man Andrew shows his cheeky side!
always love looking for perfs and shades. all the best, Rob.
That's the fun bit! You can go a long time without finding anything... then it's so exciting when you come across a great batch of new items.
They are all fantastic, but the Fiji ones are my favorite! Thanks!
