its very sad knowing that in only a few more years, there will be no more WWII veterans to talk to
Indeed. 10 years tops I feel. We recently lost the last Medal of Honor recipient for that war. Only like two pilots of the Tuskegee Airmen are still too. I got to meet a few of them when I was in my early teens.
😊In reality there are still millions
@@Fernandaperez233 There are only around 100,000 WWII veterans still alive in the U.S. out of the 16 million that served. Even adding in veterans of other countries, it probably doesn't even reach a million in total. Most of the Russian or Ukrainian veterans are dead due to much lower life expectancies there during the Soviet era.
Generations that follow will never truly know of their sacrifice of The Greatest Generation.
My honest and sincere apologies for invading your privacy abruptly. Well I was scrolling down on my update when I came across your profile, I was fascinated and became interested in knowing you...if you don't mind
My mom died 2 weeks ago she was 97 and she was a Rosie the riveter at Boeing in Seattle Washington i miss her so much but she lived a long life and I’m glad I got to know her as a friend and not just my mom😢 RIP momma
I'm so sorry. No age, feels like an ok time to lose someone you love. It sounds like your mom was pretty incredible ❤
These these men and their allies are true heroes , God bless them .
The Germans are the real heroes. Not people who fought for jews.

Amazing! What were the odds that they not only lived through the Normandy battle but 80 years after it. Those are a couple of real men there!
Happy Veterans Day to these 2 amazing heroes!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🫡😁💥💥
My grandfather was on the USS North Carolina in the Pacific during WWII. He passed in 1997. Thinking of him on this Veterans Day.
My great grandfather was there, fighting in the British army. He passed away in 1993 when I was a teenager. Sadly he came back and inflicted a lot of his trauma out on the next few generations. They had no outlet or understanding on how to process what they experienced.
@@BC.28 yeah I feel ya. My grandfather was from Tennessee, came to Washington State for the Navy right after pearl harbor when he was 19. Met my grandmother who was divorced with a kid, and had 3 kids with her (my mom included) before he split and had two more with his second wife. My mom didn't know her dad until I was born in the 80s. Have nothing but positive memories of him, and I know I wouldn't be here without him enlisting, but there's still trauma there for my mom and her brothers

They are lucky to still be alive. Glad they are.
I get teary-eyed when I see these guts from the Silent Generation. They just did whatever needed to be done. My father too was of that generation and a WWII veteran. I also grew up surrounded by WWI & Korean War vets.
I salute their fortitude and strength.
WW2 Veterans are from The Greatest Generation.
Such brave good looking men over a hundred years old.
What I would give to hear their advice on how to cope with the blessings of life, the harrows of death, the best times of love, the worst pains of grief, and the times of a very, very well-spent life. #GodBless them and our troops not only on this Veterans' Day, which is today for me, but every day of all our lives for those who live here in THE United States of America.
My uncle, David Alexander was at Utah beach. He went on to liberate Paris and Belgium. He said the mud was horrible. Thank you as well for your service. then he served at Roswell. Never said anything. What a patriot.
I went to Utah beach this August, and walked my dogs there as the sun rised. I had chills thinking of the bravery of the men like your uncle. I am so grateful for all the men who fought for our liberty! ❤️❤️❤️
It's interesting to hear from these folks. They're really from a different time.
They don't make 'em like that anymore!❤🇺🇲🦅Thank you Gentlemen for your Service. We are blessed here in the USA because of good people like you! Happy Veterans day.❤🇺🇲🕊️
A sense of responsibility and bravery existed in these men that is seldom found in the world today.
Not when leaders like Trump are around!
Did Fox tell you that?
@floppywalrus409
👍
Nonsense. There are still many heroes in this world and those who step up with bravery and courage when called upon. Fetishizing the past and making ridiculous, unfounded claims about the present does not honor these two wonderful gentleman.
@@tesladrive1152 How so?? 🙃
Thank you both for your service to our country & the other countries you protected while on Utah beach. May God always bless you & your loved one.
God bless them!
God Bless them. Both of my grandfather's served during WW2.
My grandfather was educated so he didn't choose war .....he had a mind of his own

Beautiful guys 🤩 Well done!
We truly owe them a debt of gratitude for their bravery and service to keep Democracy alive.❤
100 years old and getting around better than people half their age. Amazing ❤
Thank you Bill and Gene for your service to our country! I’m so happy for you both to have met each other and to share your experiences from the war and during this visit! God bless you both!
A testimony to the Greatest Generation.
I've known people in their 60s that seem older than them!
God bless them. So glad they got that experience! Thank all you veterans who served for our country.
Thank you warriors for your service to this great country!
WONDERFUL
Where would we be today without brave and truly patriotic service members like these two men? Such heroes!
It is weird to think we are the last people to talk to WWII veterans. I thank them for their service.
Thank you both for your service. God bless you both 🙏❤️🇺🇲🦅
My dear friends father died on that beach when she was just a few months old. Thank you for your service! I’m so glad to see these men still have their wits about them at this age. Thank you for sharing your story!

Am I lucky that these guys came . Thank you guys!
He looks sharp at old age, may he live a hundred years more
For the last of the greatest generation.
I apologize for what America has become.
Right, they fought for nothing
America is the way it is because of their kids. Literally the Boomers ruined this country. If you disagree with what I’m saying then I know exactly what generation you’re from 😊
Absolutely!!! 😭😭
imagine being this dumb
This is SO beautiful. I didn’t intend to cry…..😭😭😭
I shall NEVER NOT hold a space of ultimate AWE & RESPECT for our soldiers, our HEROES.🇺🇸

At the time of the Dunkirk evacuations , those two were in their teens , and their families anxious about a world that seemed to be rushing headlong towards the abyss . At that time , there may well have been veterans still alive who fought in the first and second battles of Bull Run . The world is safe now from the tyrants who tried to enslave it some eighty years ago , thanks to the young people who would give their lives in order to keep us free , like those two gentlemen there . But the world has it's new tyrants , madmen like the current dictator of Russia , whose fantasies of conquest and of mass murder are even more dangerous than those of the mass murderers who these two heroes fought against . Tribalism and bigotry must be banished from our way of thinking and of teaching our youngest members of society . If we cannot eliminate hate , then it is entirely possible that we won't survive our technological adolescence . But if we do survive , then our high flown plans to cure cancer and to expand into space and to visit other worlds in the remote future will be a reality .
My great uncle was there on Omaha Beach as a combat engineer and walked with his troops under the arc de triumph where you can see him in the famous photo...never talked about it nor any violent type stories or he'd breakdown...such a shame though my family's so split because we family and non family alike owe it to him to hear his history
Brave heros
Beautiful story ❤
Thank him for our freedom !
Real heroes!!
You two veterans have been on a Mission from GOD since the day you were born! Your bravery your selflessness honorably stand tall then and now as you protected every family, every unborn child, every animal pets and farm animals, every living organism that breathes on earth and still do with your unity, toughness, and love for your fellow man women and child. I stand salute every veteran who fought to keep every family living in Democracy safe to vote. Free to live anywhere. Free to worship at the church of our choice. Free.
Thank You, Mule
Because of your heroism
I can thank you for every year I’ve enjoyed in the awesome United States of America 🇺🇸.

Reminds me of Henry V's speech before the Battle of Agincourt...." Band of Brothers" remembrance.
For someone who's 100 years they are very healthy

I think they served with my boyfriend's granddad he was also a medic and stomed the beach too
THE LORD BLESS THEM AND KEEP THEM BOTH WELL AND LONG HEALTHY LIVES 🥰♥️♥️✝️
Thank you for your service 🇳🇱🇪🇺
The brother of my grandfather was executed by the Germans for being part of the resistance, he was killed just 2 days before we were liberated.
My other grandfather had "onderduikers" (people who were hiding from Germans) in his house.
There are a lot of horrible stories in my family. There would've been many more if it wasn't for Americans saving us.
God bless them! 😎👍✝️❤️🇺🇸🏅🎖
It is truly saddening for me, as a Gen Z, that we and Gen Alpha are the last generations to witness and interact with these brave men.
I truly love ww2 veterans the last Godly generation in American, God bless this heroes, love from Indonesia🇮🇩

I bet there piiiised off at how the country turned out. I am, i could only imagine how it is for someone who shed blood
I would want to go to France and Belgium too, but not for what happened during the
Second World War. I would go for what happened during the FIRST World War!
These men will go to their graves knowing they were appreciated. That’s what matters.
Salute to you 😂God Bless you😊

My Uncle was prisoner of was. Suffered greatly from the Japan tortures.
They had no bullet proof vest plate carriers only clothel and helmets, to storm a hill with mounted mg's and mortars incoming 😮 How ??? Respect Gents
God bless our Veterans! 🇺🇸 🇺🇲 🇺🇲
If it wasn't for the help from our Soviet allies in WW2 - we'd all be speaking German today.
