I am such an inconsistant sniper - once I dominate the whole game with Bazaar Bargain, other times I miss even bodyshots. I have no idea what causes it.

yeah my consistency can be pretty shit too, i can land some crazy shots at times but at other times i can't shoot the still gibusvision snooper or a revved up heavy
It all comes down to concentration and mental state. Sniper is 80% reflexes, so if you aren't good at taking shots, it's likely you're stressed, or you're distracted.
Sniper is extremely taxing to play because of this; but when you are in the zone; bodies hit the floor.
Maybe inconsistent enemies? I mean you don't play against the same people all the time, maybe some peoples' strafing patterns "suit your hand" more than others. Of course, there is the tilt factor (when you lose you lose more and when you win you win more) as well as what the lower comments have said.
you make a great point about fretting as a sniper. it really screws me up sometimes when i'm distracted by how badly i'm doing. i need to just let my ego go sometimes in order to play well, without constantly checking my score or trying to go for impressive killstreaks.

I used to love playing sniper but not even that makes me enjoy tf2 now ;-;
I wish I could erase all my memory of TF2 just so I could play it fresh all over again
taking an extended break helps a lot for tf2 freeze i find

Anyways, some comments about the video:
1:50 that sightline is amazing and i'm happy few people know about it, it is easily exploitable. People tend to think of a sniper main a quickscope-headshot machine, but i find that posicioning and abusing sightlines are the best ways to play sniper.
Another thing that people often dismiss is that a sniper alone can't carry a whole fucking team. Not only that, but a sniper's performance is heavily influenced by his team. I only played como once so I do not have much experience, but in pubs my favorite thing to do was play with a engie main friend of mine, and just camp in the area within his sentry's reach: It gave me protection and I could cover his building if some soldier or other sniper tried to shoot it down from afar, and standing quite near his building was a realy good way of not having to worry about spies.
It seems that people forget that, in the end, sniper is a support-pick class, not a powerhouse that carries the team.
BTW: bodyshot meta is the best meta.

If you dont enjoy normal tf2 try something like parkour fortress, tf2 custom weapons, vsh, prop hunt, death run, surf ............

Sniper
Medic
Demoman
Pyro
Engineer
Ive learned what a good sniper should be
OPPRESSIVE. A good sniper factors into every choice a team makes, you dont poke your head out when you KNOW that they are waiting
That sniperdot can hypothetically be used as a tool of fear. you see some dude thinking about using that route, a little red dot may convince them otherwise

my problem with listening to music while gaming is:
my aim and other mechanics get better, but then one of two things happens
either i realise im not hearing important audio q's, and get SUPER paranoid, tabbing out to turn my music off to listen if i hear it again
or i just get completely tunnel visioned and have 0 awareness.
It's a shame that you're not as popular as other TF 2 youtubers, seeing as you're really fun to watch I'd thought you would have 100k subs by now.

Huntsman cant kill on headshot a fully overhealed heavy like a regular rifle can. It also isnt hit scan, doesnt have infinite range and can be reflected by any pyro.

Nuclear Throne OST - After Bloodshed
In most cases direct hit soldier is drastically better than the huntsman. DH soldier fires 2 rockets (first instant, second at 0.8 seconds) retains his move speed while firing, can peek in between shots. 200 HP, can rocket jump, etc etc etc. Can juggle and midair a dude for like 180ish damage, dealing around 300 with the bounce -> airshot or just 240-260ish from two directs. or 200ish damage point blank + AoE damage with stock.
Demo can fire out two pipes with no damage falloff into a large group of enemies in 0.6 seconds, dealing 200-220 damage if landing two directs, with very fast projectiles that are much easier to deal high damage with than landing a huntsman headshot, under pressure, with 125 HP. Demo can also damage from range, set a sticky trap and instantly kill large groups of enemies. It's a funny thing that people say huntsman is broken when demo can right click and delete people for walking into an area.
I run huntsman a lot and play a lot of soldier/scout. Soldier is nothing but upside vs huntsman. Huntsman sniper cannot splash corners, farm engineers, damage multiple foes, etc etc.
It does take aim to consistently land headshots on huntsman, especially against good players who jump around a lot and move in an odd manner. Getting the random 360 headshot you didn't really aim happens but not that often. An overwhelming majority of huntsman headshot kills I get, I predicted the movement of the enemy player and hit them in the head, very rarely do I get random lucky headshots that took little to no aim, or were from spam.
Stock rifle is generally just better, huntsman sniper is strictly worse than a soldier. It's kind of fun to use though :D

also the bazaar bargain is quite.. op? if you have bad aim it's direct downgrade from stock but if you have good aim you just destroy the enemy team. like after 2 headshot you can charge faster then stock so when you hit max heads you can like charge 150 damage bodyshot in like 2 seconds
The Classic is actually a good offensive Sniper weapon. Play it like a Huntsman except you can zoom in when necessary.
I believe there is a “little” bug with the Razorback and the quick-fix.
It seems like you can get overhealed to 155(surviving a headshot) but spies stab through the Razorback.
I was really confused because the Razorback stabbed sound didn’t play and I just died to a stab with my Razorback meter full when I was overhealed by a quick-fix...

Sniper has the same amount of health as scout, spy, and engie, but scout uses his maneuverability to escape damage, spy has disguises and invis watch, engie can pop down a sentry or dispenser to heal himself, but all sniper has is his mains weapons.
