I haven’t played in a while, but I’m going to play it again so that I can see what the update brought! I’ll get back to you!!

I have almost 700 hours into this game. On my 4th playthrough. Level 132 Warfarer. Love this game. Mechanics like no other and love the pawn system. Buy it.

I didn’t even even think 700 hours were possible. That’s amazing!! Kudos to you for real!! and haha i agree!

I'm 300 hours in but haven't touched the game for a couple of weeks. I had to mod it, though, because enemy variety and scaling, mediocre loot drops, and limited vocations made replaying the game uneventful.

I missed the moored world at the end because i tried turning around and walking out to see if it would change anything, It didnt. Now the 2nd playthrough ive taken 200 hours to beat the quest in vernworth area in best order i could now all the quest are pointing to bakbathal. I had 2 weeks vacation and still havent finished a playthrough. It is a good game if you can sit down and explore the world and try different quest outcomes i didnt do the back up save on my 1st go at it and i try to play the 2nd go at it like I would my 1st but no playthrough beats the 1st i have a understanding of what scale of gameplay i got. I hope there is a lot of DLC and fast

oh wow, well it sounds like you really enjoyed your time playing it. I’m on the second play through. I didn’t get around to finishing it again. But it’s nice to hear about your experience with 200 hours of gameplay! I thought my 150 hours was alot😅 definitely topped me! you’re right that there’s definitely a lot of content that can be missed and since there’s no quest markers or linear direction, it is very easy to speed through the game but I too hope that there is a lot of DLC!

I’m personally excited for dragons dogma 2 I started playing the first one a few months before the release of dragons dogma 2 and I like the first game I found this franchise by watching some video describing the original game personally going to wait for the game to go on discount and to have its problems it had on launch fixed by that time

it might be a good thing that you’re waiting a while to get it. I believe by the time you get it, it will be a lot better and you’ll love it! They’ve started fixing up a lot of the bugs and I heard they’re going to be adding a few new things!!

This game was weird for me because I absolutely love Dragons Dogma, but it just fell short in so many ways, in my opinion. I think my main issues come from the fact that the game is structured a lot like a linear title, with there being little reason to truly explore outside a handful of bosses. There's little to no unique loot, as everything can be purchased from vendors, making exploration kind of pointless. Not to mention, the armor system being dumbed down further reduces your ability to hunt for gear and put together something. You just buy it, and that's it. There's nothing to work towards or find. Every chest you open is just resources that mean literally nothing.
There's very little enemy variety, with it being almost a 1:1 of the first game, and the camp system is so incredibly lackluster. The cooking mechanic and different camp sets don't really add anything to the game, and it's just pointless. The combat is great, but the lack of a dodge or block just leads you to eating attacks for the sake of adding some sort of diversity among classes. The game has nothing else to do but accept the quest, run to the area, fight, run back, turn in the quest, get useless potions and gold, and repeat. It seems they missed the fact that the game's an RPG, where players need more to do than just the core mechanics of the game. There's no character building outside the skills, which can all be bought relatively fast.
Basically, the game is like if Monster Hunter removed everything besides hunting 5 monsters and using the gold to buy pre-forged weapons from a vendor. There's no crafting your own out of monster parts. There's no different quests, no hub, no pals, nothing, but you can still cook food, for some reason.
I was really hoping this game would be akin to The Witcher 3/RDR2 but in Dragons Dogma form. Tons of people, places, gear sets, monsters, etc. with tons of side objectives like customizable player homes/camps, etc.
All in all, it feels like the game was supposed to be a soft reboot of the first game, and they ended up having to make it appear as a grand sequel to get it approved. That's how it feels anyway, with the story being so full of loose ends and changing abruptly.

as much as it goes against everything I said in this video, I agree with you 1000%! nothing you said here was understated and it’s all very relatable especially with the amount of time I spent playing the game. I think all in all what kept me going throughout most of the game was knowing it was nostalgic to the first one. But as I think more about it, especially after reading this comment, I realize that the game did feel more like you were just grinding to get money to buy better armor. Everything else in the world was a bit underwhelming, except the combat and the monsters. Leveling up didn’t feel like it had much of an effect other than unlocking new skills, But the fact that each class was different with apparently different stats, it was hard to gauge how precise the leveling up helped out the character, and with the lack of dodging and blocking like you mentioned throughout all classes it felt like something was missing in combat. All in all, I think that they may have rushed the release of dragons dogma 2 or fell into the modern trend for games nowadays… Adding the best stuff through expansions and DLC’s and updates.

I loved DD1 it’s one of my all time favorite games that I literally played the most of, because the combat and cool armor layers and looting was fun.
They kinda missed the Mark this time, I mean I like a lot of the new animations and graphics, but it’s not as responsive as the first game was and the story doesn’t keep me interested at all like the first game did.
It’s kind of a bummer, plus no eternal fairy stone and no silk lingerie this time wtf?!? 😅
Anyways, the last game that I can compare to the fun of DD1 was Elden Ring, and I don’t like any of the Dark Souls or blood born games, I don’t play them and never will, I’m not interested.
But Elden ring had a lot of special things going for that made it fun and rewarding and a lot more interesting than DD2, but I didn’t like the outdated graphics of Elden Ring, so if they ever have graphics like DD2 for Elden 3 that would be Awesome!! But I won’t hold my breath.
I think our only hope for more fun is for DD2 to release a really good DLC expansion & experience, like releasing a whole new game kinda like what the Witcher 3 did with Blood & Wine, or what the new Elden Ring expansion seems to be doing from the rumors I’ve heard as of late.
    Blah blah blah 😂
Fingers crossed we get an awesome DLC with more interesting monsters and armor and locations and if not maybe if they make DD3 I just don’t wanna wait another 12 years. 😅

I completely completely agree with this DD1 was just amazing and sad as it sounds. I don’t know if I enjoyed dragons dogma 2 because it was a good game or because I was so glued to it due to the fact that it gave me memories of dragons dogma 1. Funny enough I’ve never actually played Elden Ring I’ve only seen gameplay of it, but I do want to play it and hopefully get a video on the channel. and I also have my fingers crossed about dragons dogma 2 updates and expansions! let’s hope it all the money they earned they look out for us and give us an awesome update.

@@dacwardztv word, yeah totally.. and omg 😱 Elden Ring is a very difficult game , but if you go in with the mindset that you are going to die a lot until you level up it’s a really good game, the graphics and art style are pretty awesome even if they are not up to date like some games, but I highly recommend it, and now that they have updated it and the new expansion is coming soon, you’ll either love it or you won’t. But again I’m NOT a souls fan at all, but Elden Ring was a pleasant surprise, and once you learn the curve of it all and start getting good at it it’s really fun and almost addicting like the feeling DD1 if that makes sense, but omg I can’t believe I beet that game!! Haha “Elden Ring.”
Last but not least, you’ll want to level up a bit and enjoy it solo, but eventually you’ll wanna get some online help from friends or strangers, it’s RAD and I’m don’t even like playing games online so that’s another thing, everyone is usually very supportive when it comes to helping you take out some powerful bosses.
Alright good luck dude, I played it on PS5 that’s all I know. 🤘🤘🤘

Thank you bro! I'm a huge fan of dragon's dogma.. it's my favourite game, I'm still playing on ps3 and ps4 .... But regarding dd2 .. I'm really mad about the downgrade... I feel like dragon's dogma 2 is not a sequel but a demake .. no MK, only 4 skill, no armor customization (all armors look grey and make the characters fat!), i hate the 1 weapon choise :( no dodge, no useful fast travel, no mount and no dragon to ride (we are the arisen!) ... I can go on all day... And I'm so sad to admit that i hate dd2, I've been waiting 12 years .. and I'm so pissed off 😅

yeah no problem bro, I became a really huge fan fairly recently after playing dragons dogma dark arisen and falling in love with the game. I felt like when I was playing it, It was ahead of its time so I definitely expected a lot more from Dragons dogma 2. I remember watching a video breaking down the process in making dragons dogma and they were saying that the developers had to cut out a lot of stuff because their ideas were just too ambitious. well… I kind of wish they didn’t hold back with DD2 there’s so much potential.. so many ideas could’ve been utilized… your frustration and anger is well placed. but I’m hoping with the still great success of dragons dogma 2 they make up for it with a third release or a really cool expansion, DLC.

@dacwardztv u get the wayfarer yet? It let's you only slot 3 weapon skills, that means only 3 vocations are technically playable with wayfarer. The fourth skill is designated to switch weapons. It's easier to play wayfarer with two vocations instead of three, that being said, magic archer her and fighter are really great choices for wayfarer. I like to use frost bolt, downpour with Mag archer because the two skills are timed in such a way that the two effects deal damage at the same time, and fighter flawless guard on the X button because I can spin to win when enemies get close and knock enemies in the air when I hold down and release the x button.
