I'm an old man (almost 50) and have played every battlefield ever. Sliding wasn't prominent until battlefield V and dose not belong in a battlefield game. My tips. Don't shoot and give yourself away unless you can make the kill or you are suppressed. Think before you spawn. Listen alot sound perception is pretty good in battlefield and you can find people from footsteps and characters speaking. Slow down, stop sprinting everywhere. Map knowledge is king, learn the natural flow of maps and routes that people frequently use to go from flag to flag. Enemy vehicles can do alot of damage, take em down. A team with just one squad dedicated to taking them down will have a much easier time.
add to that - train your aim with things like Aimlabs, or kill bots in private match. bots give you a chance to fight back unlike some people in pubs. - dont slow down. the faster you are the better, but instead of sprinting in a straight line to the objective, sprint from cover to cover. you always want a way out.
The last point is the most important, i've seen games saved by a mortar pod, by a good pilot spawning our team behind enemy lines, by fuming out a sector and rushing with C5. There are tons of viable tactics in this game you just have to use the correct one at the correct place at the correct time that's what's hard in BF.
I think pressing Q to spot enemy is way too important for your team And read the mini map is also the hint to kill enemy On the other hand, if you see casper drone in the sky, you should know you got spotted on the mini map and push carefully Small tips from me: If you saw a healing or supply crate show up at the map with no ally there, then it's the crate from enemy right there, I caught some infiltrator before
Even being an average ~3k/d player across all Battlefields its a good practice to watch videos of other good players to learn something new or perhaps refresh your memory on certain mechanics. Great video. Expanding on your "autopilot" point. I'd say its a good practice to learn all of the rotation points and figure out where people will come from when you're at a certain objective. Good positioning and map knowledge is as important as is good aim. If you know where your enemy will come from, it will give you a huge advantage. Because if you know where that enemy is coming from, you can find most favorable position to fight that player/s.
I’ll add a tip. Don’t be afraid to switch classes, a lot of people spawn as one class in the beginning and don’t ever change classes. Certain classes excel in different situations, this is very important. Especially, when playing breakthrough.
I did your settings and really helped me a lot 👍👍👍 Thanks for Sharing it... First week after settings change was little bit difficult but after 4 days was always better and better...
So... I have been playing Battlefield 2042 since launch, and I am a Veteran Battlefield player since BF2 / 3 / 4 / 1 and 5. I think the best strategy is to go in with in mind that you aren't here to be the best of the best, There is no reason to think you are the best of the best because then you make mistakes. Mistakes are going to happen, and sometimes the other team is going to Annihilate... Taking Tips and tricks are helpful, But ultimately it depends on 'YOUR' preference of gameplay. - Are you a Foot soldier? - Focus on Infantry + RPG + Medic or Assault ~ Capture the Objective. - Aircraft / Helicopter? - (Good luck...) 99.5% of the entire team is going to devote taking you down in the vehicle. (This also means, GO DOWN with the Ship.) Don't bail or waste assets.) - Mechanics ~ Don't get comfortable, This IS an FPS game. Rushing ahead without an idea of plan is why you likely die all the time. Here is a good example. If an enemy has the Building, Capture point, do not ever... EVER use the Elevator, 50/50 Chance you'll likely die because they already THOUGHT before you, That they are going to keep a dead tunnel eye vision at that moment the door opens. Allow your Air vehicles to attempt to clear the roof, BEFORE going to capture. THEN Go up the Elevator... - Communication ~ Sadly every Battlefield Style, gameplay does not encourage Voice Chat capability... And likely the reason you failed is poor communication. If you ask me, I dislike the mechanics of battlefield 2042 as it seems to Cartoon like. Very "Super Soldier" type of vibe that makes no sense. Sliding around like you shoved 50 pounds of sticked Butter up your ass, and slide around like you're a famous figure Skater. But again, Doesn't make any sense. The best advice is to experiment your type of gameplay. Focus on yourself and pay attention to the game. The only reason why I am commenting, Is because I like Silk's videos and so should you.
That autopilot as number one is a good one to try to remind yourself of sometimes. I definitely find my self at times just like you said autopiloting and not even realizing it.
as a rpg player who recently started playing BF2042 i went from 1/10/0 to 10/10/19 over the past two weeks ago i feel like if i can actually apply wut i learned from this video i can get so much better K/D ratio atm is 0/861 my goal for 100 hr is to at least reach 1 k/d but apart from all dat awesome tips it was a great video also subbed you for more great tips
I remember, I once had a piece of paper for comparing the 360/cm ratio across all my games I played. Team Fortress 2, battlefield 3, 4 and CSGO all were very similar but for Minecraft my sensitivity was twice as high.
Sensitivity on console is just as important. My sensitivity changes game to game on both Xbox, and PS5. BF4 on PS4, I had it extremely high, BF2042 it is about middle on PS5, and extremely high on Xbox. The different controllers react differently. I have the Elite Series 2 controller for Xbox. With the adjustable thumbsticks set to max stiffness, I find the higher sensitivity is both easier to control and gives better precision than on a Daul Sense. My settings are different based on the hardware.
I think the movement aspect covered in your first part is great but I think that's also one of the divisive reasons why 2042 isn't as "Battlefield" as fans like it. As on of the other comments mentioned it's only a recent introduction. Anyway, it's come a long way and I like the trajectory it's on now. I'm also wondering how much the next season update will affect movement, if they get rid of Mackay's grapple for example.
I partially agree here. BF4 arguably had MUCH stronger movement, I mean there were players that literally outmoved their opponents before aiming. It was that broken. Just this movement is very CoD like (i believe it was copied from MW2019. Personally I don't mind it. It feels more intentional and by design, whereas BF4 movement was a bunch of bugs.
@@SilkOCE once the players in BF4 figured out how to take advantage of it it was definitely "exploiting" a known problem and it worked well in outplaying others in engagements. Personally I'm in two minds about bringing BF movement into a COD like space but alas you adapt and play styles change. Thanks for the reply! Love your stuff.
